"Kgh!" I closed my eyes, waiting for the impact to blow me dozens of meters away… which never came.


I slowly creaked my eyes open, "Huh?" And the monster—the Grendel was nowhere to be seen.


"Hah… I thought I was going to die…" I slumped to the ground, relieved.


I was lucky, the Grendel's activation time seemed to be over at that very moment.


After that, I went back to the base. Soobin was awaiting me.


"What happened to make you look so pale?" She asked.
