Dropping Bomb

The room was deathly silent. Su Anya and Chen Yiren were both standing in the middle of the room, the tension between them palpable, while Mr. Kevin, gauged their expressions. On the surface, it seemed as if Chen Yiren was trying to push the blame on Su Anya, but Mr. Kevin felt that both of them were responsible for plagiarism.

Finally, Su Anya broke the silence, turning to look at Mr. Kevin and asking, "Mr. Kevin, as the judge what do you have to say in this situation?"

Mr. Kevin frowned looking at her nonchalant expression. She held the same expression when everyone accused her of stealing Chen Yiren's project.

A seed of doubt started to grow in his heart and he felt that there might be a possibility that Su Anya was innocent in this situation.

But if he were to agree that Su Anya was innocent won't he prove wrong in front of so many people?

So just to save his so-called dignity Mr. Kevin choose to believe in his previous judgment and thought that Su Anya was only putting an act to get away from the punishment.

Mr. Kevin felt more disgusted when he realized that he was almost fooled by her. "Miss Su, you have also stolen someone else idea, so please behave yourself. Otherwise, this behavior will only bring down the name of your school and country."

Su Anya's face was a mask of frost and determination as she faced off against Mr. Kevin. She had been wronged before, and she wouldn't stand to be wronged again.

"Mr. Kevin, I apologize that you have seen such a thing in my country," she began in a cool but composed tone. "But this kind of situation will not have arisen if you hadn't held your prejudice against me and my team."

Mr. Kevin frowned, looking at her with puzzlement. "What do you mean?"

Su Anya took a deep breath and straightened her back. Her voice gained strength as she spoke. "My team and I are highly qualified professionals, yet you judged us as lesser, simply because of where we come from. You have concluded after hearing one side. You should have tried to understand our capabilities before making your decision."

Su Anya felt that it was time to drop the bomb and let them know the actual truth. "It was me who made the complaint of plagiarism of my project."

There was an uproar and the audience started to murmur. Su Anya didn't miss the change of expression of people around her.

Chen Yiren's face turned ashen when he heard Su Anya. Not even in his dream did he think that Su Anya's idea would be that great. He regretted rashly stealing her project.

She felt a sense of satisfaction after seeing their perplexed expression and for some reason, she felt that she had achieved her little revenge against these people for not trusting her.

"You…you." Mr. Kevin looked at Su Anya in disbelief. He turned to look at John to confirm whether what she said was true or not.

"Mr. Kevin, in the face of truth you still don't want to believe me." Su Anya sneered at him.

"If you had explained yourself, we would not doubt you. Now, you have created a mole out of hill just grab the attention." The female judge made the snarky remark.

She thought that Su Anya wanted to gain some popularity, that's why she had created such a situation in which she will fall victim and can gain some sympathy.

"Do you want to deny that you didn't plan to gain sympathy? Then why did you announce in front of so many people about your aunt's death before your presentation."

Su Anya looked at her indifferently, "Thank you for reminding me, I almost forget that I also have to file a complaint against the competition organizer for disclosing my personal life in front of so many."

Mr. Huang, the competition organizing committee member hurriedly come forward after seeing that they were also held accountable. "Miss Su, can you please explain the situation? We sincerely apologize if there was any mistake made from our side."

Mr. Huang was very well aware that this young girl was very smart, and he didn't want to offend her by ignoring her.

Su Anya was quite satisfied with him, for not coming to any conclusion before analyzing the situation "Sir, there are very few people who know about my aunt's death. Not even my head teacher know about this, then how could the emcee announce this matter without my knowledge."

Su Anya looked at Chen Yiren meaningfully and said, "You must be aware this kind of thing will put a negative impression on the judge. Even if I want to gain some sympathy but do you think this kind of sympathy will help in any way."

Mr. Huang frowned and felt the situation was quite tricky. He gritted his teeth and asked, "Do you have any evidence to prove that it wasn't you who release the news of your aunt's death."

Su Anya gave him a cold look and sneered, "Sir, I thought you were smart enough to realize that situation isn't in your favor. But if you want to put me difficult situation just to save yourself, then I must say you have chosen the wrong move."

After she finished speaking, on a big projector a video started to play.

"I want you to announce Su Anya's tragic situation on the stage. It must look like she was trying to gain the sympathy of the judges and the audience." A blurry figure in the video was instructing the Emcee

When the emcee saw himself in the video he was completely stunned and everyone's gaze was fixed on him. "I… I don't… I don't know anything about this."

He felt a sense of fear after realizing that his deeds were exposed in front of everyone. He looked at Chen Yiren to get some help, but when he saw Chen Yiren's warning look, he shut his mouth. He was very well aware that he can't afford to go against him.

"I was just trying to create hype among the audience. I don't have any bad intentions."

"You don't have bad intentions, Hah! Then who was the person in the video asking you to do such a good deed." Chen Zhihui spoke. He had been silent all this while as he was already enjoying such a good show, but he wasn't aware that there was someone who tried to take advantage of Su Anya's aunt.

The emcee started to avoid eye contact and his lips were tightly shut.

"I don't care who instructed you, this is the competition organizer's mistake, so I hope they will compensate me." After resolving this issue, Su Anya put back her focus on Chen Yiren.

She had purposely blurred Chen Yiren's face in the video. She wanted to play a cat-and-mouse game with him by letting him hang in the middle of the fear of getting caught.
