Chapter 32

Victoria was tugging Vincent around once more as she had countless times in the last few days. She was pulling him up the stairs as the drums began.

The duo sat at the very back of the hall with a greater view of the play from up above. The guards were positioned around them searching for any possible threats. Yet none were around to be found.

The play was about the romance between Queen Vestinia and King Joran the third. While it may have historical depth, the story was not sufficiently entertaining for Vincent to remain conscious.  The tales of love from over a century ago were sufficiently uninteresting to make many young men fall unconscious.

The play was a big hit when it first came out and it was still well known. Victoria always had a bit of a soft spot when it came to history, so it was nearly inevitable that the two would eventually go see the play.

When Vincent finally opened his eyes he was greeted with an angry glare from Victoria. She first pouted and then she refused to look at him. She only forgave Vincent after he promised to go shopping with her again.

The next two days passed peacefully but it was time to return home. Of course, they still had to say their goodbyes to Duke Terrice.
