Chapter 54

Vincent could see it. The capital! Soon he would be home atlast. Looking at the thick walls around the capital reminded Vincent off how long its been since he last saw his parents.

Vincent: "It's been over two months... hasn't it?"

The Guards at the citys gate beifly stopped the trio before letting them pass. It seemed like they already knew the messenger and after he whispered some sort of secert code the guards did not delay them any further.

The messenger: "Before we split pathes i was ordered to take you the royal Palace. your father should be there."

Vincent: "Makes sence."

After walking all the way to the Palaces entrance they were greeted by a royal guard.

Royal Guard: "This is indeed Vincent. I will call his father her imidietly."

Vincent lowered his head in embarrassment. He did not feal worthy of having a royal guard personally await his return. Vincent recognized the royal guard and knew he was a lower ranking one nethertheless he still felt embarrassed. A few minutes later the guard returned to view with a man rushing behind him in hurried stepes. It didn't take a genius to know it was James.

The moment James saw his sun he trembled in joy as a jolt of energy seemingly passed through his body. He ran upto Vincent and lifted him up into the air.

James: "Ive missed you so much never evet do something like that again! You have no idea hoe worried we all were! Your mother collapsed on the floor when she heard the news!"

Vincent was too overwhelmd with emotions to even let out a response as he awas swung around in the air like a rag doll. Vincents eyes started to water before he began to burst into tears. He hated ir but he simply could not control it. Once he was finally let down Vincent unsteadily began to open up his mouth to say somthing but he was immediately interrupted by a shout from behind followed by a collision.

Before Vincent could fully react Vincent almost got toppled down to the floor. Finally he recognised the voice and understood who was hugging him from behind. It was Victoria.

Messenger: "Well i think your identity has been verified already and i have a job to do so I'll be going. Goodbye Vincent. "

The messenger than just without a care seemingly not noticing how he just interrupted the reunion.

Victoria frowned as she asked "Who is he?"

To wich Vincent answered: "He's one of the people who helped me return safely."

After letting out a unhappy humph Victoria than dragged Vincent into the Palace.
