Death is not the answer

'Take a deep breath, and believe all is well…all is well… Why am I getting anxious over such a thing? It's just a one-night stand, nothing else then why? Why is my mind still thinking about Abaddon?

How is he going to react after meeting me, if he got mad what am I going to do… What if he is like me… What am I even thinking…'

While Eric fighting with his own unruly thoughts, Abaddon enters the class after Aisha. Seem like both of them came together today. Not as usual, suddenly some whispering voices and mocking laughs covered the class.

Without looking at anyone, Abaddon sat in his seat without even raising his head. Eric couldn't understand what the situation is, but he can sense something wrong happened.

Abaddon doesn't look good there are bluish marks on his face and even there is a slight wound on the corner of his lip. If you look closely, there is a red mark on his neck too. However, the emptiness filled eyes of Abaddon unexpectedly reminds Eric of his sister.

Eric wants to ask what happened, but he couldn't. His position and situation stop him from digging more. It's not like they have some sort of deep relationship. If Abaddon dies or lives as a villain or a normal guy, nothing should concern him, but somehow an uneasiness felt in his heart.

'In a novel, he is just character; whatever is happening to him is his fate that he has to face. There is nothing an outsider can do…' Trying to convince himself by repeating the phrase, Eric tries to keep a blind eye towards Abaddon's matter without even acknowledging his own feelings that entangling.

Tuesday's special two-hour PT period is here, and everyone goes to change their clothes and arrives at the ground. For Eric, it's seemed boring especially when his one and only friend (Aiden) is absent, and no one wants to play with him.

Sitting alone under a tree, Eric watches the other students playing on the ground. There are still some students who don't fit the majority ones because of their talent, shape, color, and money. A group of students like the old Eric, Aiden, and Abaddon... They are often used and bullied by others for various reasons.

"C-Can I sit here?" Closing the view, a fat boy stands in front of Eric. He is in a bit messy look, where his shirt and short pants were covered in mud, and there are bruises on his knees as he tripped and injured.

"Yeah, no problem." Without caring much, Eric said.

"Thanks…

We are studying in the same class but don't talk much, so it's quite weird, right!" He slowly begins to start a conversation.

Eric nods to his statement, even though he isn't aware of that boy's real name. "What happened to Aiden? He is absent for two days… is he sick or something? If he going to take a few more days of leave, he must inform our classroom teacher."

"Oh, I will inform him about this matter… Ahem… Do you have any idea what happened to Abaddon? He doesn't look good today?" The opportunity falls into his hands, and Eric uses it to gather information about Abaddon from the boy.

"Who knows, maybe he was beaten up by Aisha's gang as always. When I last met him, his state isn't that good. He even struggled to take a step.

I tried to help him by carrying his bag, but he shook off my hand with his full spirit as if I did something wrong to him. Strange guy, right?

Where is he gone???" Looking towards Eric's side to get a positive response, the boy found no one beside him.

Not knowing where to find Abaddon, who has been missing since the afternoon, Eric searches without much thought. However, he couldn't able find him in class, the washroom, or the silent corners. The only place left behind is the terrace, the chances are less for Abaddon to be there. The ultimate villain can't commit suicide.

But he couldn't control the tension that filled up in his heart for some reasons. He runs towards the terrace without any break. Once he reached, the scene waiting for him is the fall of Abaddon from the fifth floor.

The smile that Abaddon gives before his fall reminds Eric of the day, he lost his sister. The smile which hides many emotions but give false hopes for a new beginning. Her foolish decision or an escape from the hellish world, nor she say a proper goodbye nor take revenge on those who ruin her life. She struggled and suffered but couldn't make it up to the end.

'Brother…' Her voice echoed like an illusion in Eric's ears, and for a moment, he saw her in Abaddon. He ran towards him, trying to grab his hand.

In the past, he couldn't save his sister even though he takes her revenge in the most hellish way, but he doesn't want to lose another one who is unknowingly becoming precious to him.
