Mary woke up her vision still blurry and her head was buzzing. She rubbed her eyes and focused her vision, the buzzing was gone.
She opened her eyes again and looked around. She wasn't on the ground instead she was in her car. She looked out of her car's window. She was in an unknown place.
There weren't any houses nor signs. Suddenly, she heard a sobbing sound on her left. She turned her head to her left and saw her brother curled up on the side of the door. His face on his knees and he was sobbing.
She slowly moved her hand to pat on his head but her brother pushed her hand away. He looked up and let out a frightened yell at Mary."Don't Touch Me! You're Not My Sister!"
Mary looked at him with a confused and concerned face. Then, she stretched out her arms, giving him a big warm hug and said in a gentle voice "It's alright, I'm here. Your sister is here for you."
He looked up at Mary and let out a loud cry and said "sister, you were like a different person just now."While rubbing his tears away.
"Don't worry, I'm back, it's alright now."
After a long time, Jack lay in her arms, asleep.
Mary looked out the car window and thought, What happened? I remember I was unconscious on the ground. What does he mean by me being a 'different person?'
She was in deep thought until she saw a silhouette walking towards her. She looked at it slowly closing in the distance between them.
The silhouette was now standing in front of her car. It was an old man, he was taking a thick wooden stick to help him walk. His hair is white and he seemed very old.
The old man slowly moved to her right door and knocked on it a few times. Mary went out of the car and asked "Do you need anything?" in a polite tone.
The old man looked at her up and down and said "You must be the new neighbor. Welcome!Welcome!"
"What?"Mary said in confusion.
But he ignored her and continued to walk away. Trying to be nice, Mary didn't question any further. She yelled"Wait a minute" and quickly carried her brother out of the car. She hugged her brother in her arms and followed the old man.
