CHAPTER THREE: She was brave
Ryan POV
'Be fast or we would be late' I shouted to Michelle from the sitting room 'I'm almost done!' Michelle shouted back from her room. 'Don't miss a step' I said as she ran down the stairs then she missed the second to the last step and almost fell with her face luckily I was nearby and I caught her 'I told you not to miss a step' I said as I helped her stand right and she giggled. 'Don't forget to take your lunch' Mum said as she held our lunch in her two hands, we kissed her good bye and left. On our way to school I saw one of my classmates, Beth. I'm not the type that talks to girls so I just made a casual greetings but girls don't seem to end discussion there.
'Did know about the two melodramas that happened yesterday' Beth asked
'I only know about one' I replied
'And what is the one you know?' she asked
'The one of Pamela confessing to Ivan when he asked Judith out is there another one?' I asked
'Yes, the one of Pamela and Judith pulling each other hair in the girls' bathroom, I don't think she will be able to come to school today' Beth said with sympathy an I happened to notice Michelle was quietly listening to our conversation, this whole melodramas issue will be a topic of discussion for the rest of the week.

Ivan sat on Pamela's desk causing to her to misunderstand him, she thought he wanted to ask her out. Pamela has a crush on Ivan since the beginning of middle school unfortunately Ivan likes Judith who seats opposite Pamela. This made Pamela angry 'Ivan, am I really invisible to you, did you really not notice me or is it because I'm a bit chubby and full in academics, Ivan, I love you' Pamela confess in tears and left the class and went too the girls bathroom where Judith approach her for confessing to her boyfriend and making him feel guilty for unintentionally hurting her, from arguments they started pulling each other's hair.

Class has started and English was the first on our first period and Pamela seat was still empty, maybe Beth was right. Our English teacher wrote the topic for the day on the board which is: Punctuation marks when he reached exclamation and was explaining the use with example and suddenly someone shouted 'What!' and funnily enough he thought he was practicing what he was teaching and continued emphasizing on it use.
'What!' the whole class chorused as someone walked into a clearer view, the English teacher foolishly thought they are caught up with his teaching before he notice the class was getting noisy and their were at he door not him, he turned and it was Pamela, she came to school!
'Hey girl, go have your seat instead of taking the whole class attention to your self'our English teacher said noticing everything that has happened and embarrassingly turn to the board and started writing the note. Is he being childish now? Wanting attention? I watched closely what would happen next. Since I'm friends with Ivan I have a great opportunity to please my curiosity.
During lunch, Pamela went over to Judith 'I'm sorry for yesterday, I know I was out of the line but please understand me as a lover girl' Pamela said with her head down and nervously played with the herm of her shirt.
'Apologies accepted' Judith said and was about to walk away before Pamela grabbed her by her arm
'I also want to tell Ivan something, no need to feel insecure, I'm not chasing him anymore' Pamela pleaded
'that's only if I know where he is' Judith said searching for Ivan with her eyes
'He always eat in the former art room with his friends' Pamela said.
Hearing that I went to join my friends which included Ivan after giving an excuse to stay back in class.
'What took you so long?' Jack questioned me
'I had to check on something that I was curious about' I answered
'Don't tell me you're stalking Chelly?' Jack teased and I smacked his head before eating the lunch mom packaged for me, not long Judith and Pamela came in. Judith and Ivan acted coy for a moment 'Uhm, Ivan, Pamela has something to tell you' Judith said to Ivan, we were about to give them some privacy but Pamela disagreed so we stay and listened.
'I'm sorry for causing so much commotion yesterday and making you unreasonable guilty, after speaking to my mum yesterday my only option is to give you up so I'm gonna try that, once again I'm sorry' Pamela apologized and silently left. 'Whoa! She got nerves' I complimented, 'She was brave' Ivan also complemented. I will never understand what it means to have feelings for someone.
Michelle POV
Ryan has been busy with his friends and isn't ready to go home yet so I followed Terence home instead.We walked in awkward silent, I don't know what was wrong in the atmosphere but I was glad Terence broke the silence.
'How was school today?' he asked
'Same as usual, class works except that I can't get my brother attention' I grumbled. We continued to walk in silence again until my stomach growled in hunger, 'You can come over to my house to eat since your mom won't be around when you get home' he happily suggested.
Being it that he is a older than me in age and grade, and also a caring person, I went over to his house. There was an already made food but no one was around so he served me. By the time I'm done eating his younger siblings, the twins, Daniel and Danielle were back from school, u volunteered to do the dishes.
While I was doing the dishes Terence came into the kitchen to make his siblings a plate, I breathed in his musk scents that sent a spark down to my spine and I unconsciously dropped the stainless plate on the ground. Immediately Terence stopped what he was doing and turned to ask if I was alright, I nodded with my eyes fixated on him.
"Did he just get handsome? did his blue eyes just give out light? When did he change hi hairstyle? Chelly put yourself together but he's so cute!" I thought to myself
'Chelly, are you alright?' Terence asked slightly shaking me shoulders that's when I realized that I've been staring at him. 'I- I'm fi...ne' I shuttered and picked up the plate that had fallen on the ground. As I stood back up and continued to dry the plate he turned me making me face him and place the back of his palm on my forehead 'You aren't burning' he said, I guess my face is turning slight pink. 'I'm alright' I said removing his palm from my head,
It here that isn't fine, referring to my heart.
Terence helped me with my assignment as I managed to stay focused before heading home afterwards. As usual in the evening I filled in my diary.
Hey diary,
School days are usually stressful just the commotion in grade 8 about a love triangle. Something strange happened to me when I was at Terence place, I felt some kind of warmth and sparks whenever I got around him and I noticed that he's really cute. When I explained this to Ryan he said it's called crush. Right now my heart and mind won't let me rest as it's beating at any slight remembrance of Rence, good night diary, Rence is the only thing in my head.
'Hey kids gather round' Dad called from the sitting room, that means we have a family meeting. I and Ryan headed downstairs to the sitting room.
'Dad what's the good thing?' Ryan asked casually as we settled down.
'I got good news and bad news' Dad answered
'So which would you like to hear first?' Mom asked
'The good one' Ryan and I chorused
'The good news is that I got promoted' Dad said in excitement
'and the bad news?' Ryan asked
'We are moving to the city because of your dad's work' Mom said
'Which city' I inquired
'San Antonio, we lived there before we decided to move to the countryside' Mom explained to lift our spirit but Ryan and I were too sad to be cheered up to leave the only place we knew, we have friends and everything, it's not an easy thing but we got no choice.
