Luna checked into a hotel roughly a mile away from the auction house. Her mind kept reminding her of Marc's enchanting smile but at the same time, the disappointment she saw on his face was killing her. "What is wrong with me, I only met the guy once" her mind kept reminding her of how much pain and protection she felt by looking into his eyes. "it's 5 pm already", Luna realized she has to reach the auction house at 7 pm. She hurriedly got ready and wore the most beautiful dress there ever was, at least that is what she believed. The dress was a perfect shade of bronze and gold, she wore her best accessories with it and called a cab for herself.

" I need to find her" Marc shouted, "find where she is" Marc was restless, the anticipation on his mind was hard to control and William has never seen Marc like this before. William Bengi was formally working as a chemist when Marc first met him. William came from a very poor background and it was challenging for him to provide for his family. Marc went to take care of some business at The Henderson pharmaceutical when he saw William protecting Mr. Henderson, it was clear to Marc that William would be of great use when the time is right. He spared Henderson's life to take William with him, and without giving it a second thought Henderson said, " take this spare, he is of no use. Please Mr. Wright let me live".

Marc smiled, "you never knew what could be of great value. It's a shame. I'm letting you live just because your pet here seems like he would do anything for some green. Remember Mateo Wright spares nobody".

Since that day, William worked as a hitman for Marc, and only he knew that Marc uses different identities for business purposes. He tried to ask about the identities on several occasions but Marc seemed very protective of his names.

" Sir what is about this girl that bothers you, you have had several remarkable nights with exceptional women. Just say the word and I will make sure every beautiful woman is

here willing to do anything you want".

Marc looked at him and smiled, "are you reminding me of my charms? I know exactly why any woman is here, it's either money or meaningless nights. But there was something about her that captured my soul, she has it now, she has my essence. I know about my past, I've done terrible things but her eyes kept screaming at me, it's like meeting your savior, her glimpse corrected me, otherwise I know, I'm a beast to this world.

I want you to find her, and do everything in your power, if you need other resources use them you have my blessing".

" Leave this to me, sir, I will search every inch of this land and every bit of the skies, I'll make sure she is here by tomorrow. Now if you are ready the limo is waiting for you outside for your appearance at the auction house".

Marc finished his drink and left the room, William was still perplexed about what he just saw, he saw his boss vulnerable.

As the car approached the auction house Marc said to himself, "I have to get that jewel, it's the only this missing from my knife, pull yourself together Marc stop thinking about her". The glimpse of her face, and the touch of her hands kept distracting Marc from pulling his gun out.

The jewel which was about to be auctioned off was a part of Cleopatra's necklace which she wore when she met Julius Caesar. It was of great worth and was the piece of focus in the entire auction event.

Luna was scared, she has been to many auctions before but this was something extra. She never saw so many people waiting for just one piece of jewelry, she knew she might not be able to buy it because of the old man sitting right next to her who had an oxygen mask and his beautiful blonde who was around 19 years old with fake breasts and lips which could be used as balloons at a children's party kept telling her that her husband is going to buy the best ring in the house. Luna was disappointed in herself because she might be short on credit now.

Luna was eagerly waiting for the ring, she was looking at the man who kept presenting everything but after two hours there was no sign of the ring. " There must be a mistake, I saw the advertising, I talked to the management about that ring, where is it".

As the auction came to an end Luna stood up and asked the manager about the ring, "Hi there, I don't want to be a pain in the ass but I was promised that I would find Cleopatra's ring here and I flew for hours for that stupid ring where is it?"

The manager was not shocked, Luna wasn't the first person who asked about the ring. "We deeply apologize ma'am, but there was no such ring of this sort, may I interest you in some other fine piece of jewelry?" Luna was furious, "are you insane or you are just pretending to be one? I can also interest you in some beating if you won't tell me about that fucking ring"

As Luna was about to make a fist to punch the manager a man saw her and pulled her to the corner, "if you want to know where the ring follow me"

"I'm letting you go you good-for-nothing man, but remember Luna doesn't spare any life"

Luna started to follow the man to the lobby, "and where exactly is this ring?" Luna asked furiously, "be patient ma'am, the ring was bought by my boss right before it was about to be auctioned off, may I ask you something if you don't mind? do you have that kind of money? I'm just curious"

"No I don't, I was following this ring for a very long time, do you think your boss is going to let me hold it?"

they reached the conference room and he said, "You can ask him yourself, Mr. Wright this is Miss Luna she wants to ask you something"

She saw him again, it was Marc, His heart skipped a beat, and before she could say anything, Marc said, "it's her William take her" Willam inoculated Luna with anesthesia and she was unconscious.
