The Bonds of Time

I knew that Jane would be worried, I could see it in the way she held onto my hand and how she constantly looked at the kids who were playing outside. Jane had been the mom I have always dreamed of. And with the news that my sister told me, that worry increased tenfold.

"Are you sure that you want to go?" she asked. "Duncan, are you sure that you can look after them?"

I felt fortunate that I was able to meet her. She was the one who opened this path for me and my kids. If not for her, I would still be in that place.

"Aunt, Colin and Fujin will be joining us. Those two had accepted both the kids like their close kin," Duncan told his aunt. "You have nothing to worry about. Their transition is progressing, it is slow but Nicole and Claude have your blessings, mine, and Fall. Plus the have Fujin and Colin." he looked at me and smiled. "Rajin can sense if Fujin is near, so the kids should also be aware of him."
