"My permission?" My grandma asked, she gave a skeptical look, without looking back at Duncan she continued, "Why do you want to date my granddaughter?"

I groaned and started wishing that the hospital bed I was sitting on would swallow me, and drop me one floor below. I didn't hear the word 'marry' right? Tell me I didn't hear it.
