Inside the Ross estate clicking of glasses could be heard and sounds of laughter coming from various mouths seated in the living room and drinking one of the most expensive wines in the whole of Asia.

Callie sat down with a smile and blushing expression on her face looking at Liam who was caressing her hand softly on the chair and smiling at her, ' he was looking so handsome ' she thought giggling in excitement at the nasty thought she was having.

Old man Ross sat on his chair at the top as the patriarch of the family, he gazed at everyone with a bored expression on his family he would smile occasionally but only when his wife was saying something or pinched him to stop giving a bored expression.

Maria sighed looking at her husband who was physically present in the meeting but was mentally thinking of how to drag her to their room, slapping his hand that was holding onto hers and tickling her she glared at him which made him burst into laughter.

Laila and George smiled happily looking at their daughter giggling like a little girl who saw a blooming flower in the field, Laila smiled ' finally her daughter was getting married and no one was here to disrupt the happy occasion. George looked at his daughter and his wife who were the center of his life, he valued this daughter because she always does whatever he asks of her without questions, unlike a certain daughter he had that always opposed him about everything.

" So when is the engagement date," Jennifer Green asked Liam's mom with a dazzling smile on her lips.

" Yes when so we can prepare, " Jack Green asked alongside his wife with a toothing expression on his face.

" Well, we discussed as a family before you came and came to a conclusion that we are gonna host the engagement two weeks from now on mother-in-law's birthday," Laila said looking at her daughter and Liam with adoration in her eyes.

" Really mom is it true " Callie asked turning to her mom.

" yes dear," Laila said smiling from ear to ear.

" Liam we are gonna get engaged soon, am so happy " Callie shouted giggling in happiness and Liam smiled softly in response.

" Wow, that's just perfect, happy birthday to the matriarch in advance," Jennifer said smiling in happiness.

" Thank you dear Jennifer for your wishes, please don't forget to bring a present for this old woman " Maria muttered in a shameless tone with a smile that didn't get to her eyes.

Ahem! Ahem!! Ahem!!!

The old man burst into a fit of laughter at what his wife had just said, his wife who was shamelessly asking for a gift from someone who could not give her a gift compared to what she already had. Maria had lots of jewelry ranging from old ones to recently made ones

Everyone looked at the patriarch with an awkward expression on their faces, Jennifer was most likely embarrassed out of everyone fitted right there, Maria who was the reason for the sudden awkward situation in the living room picked up her teacup and sipped from it without a care in the world.

" Mom let's go have dinner now, the food is ready I guess " Callie interjected in an attempt to quell the awkward situation.

" Yes mom, dad let's go," Frederick said standing up.

Old man Ross and the matriarch stood up and walked toward the living room without inviting their guests.

" Yes, yes Jennifer, Jack please join us at the table," Laila said in a rush, standing up, and walking to the dining with Mr. and Mrs.Green trailing after them.

Callie pulled Liam with her and walked towards the dining trailing after her parents and soon-to-be in-laws.

At dining the awkward atmosphere died down and they were a humorous atmosphere throughout the dinner, after dinner Old man Ross and Old madam Ross excused their selves from there and went up to their room.

Laila and Jennifer walked to the Living room to resume the discussion of how the engagement is going to be held. Frederick and Jack walked out of the living room to the study to play chess leaving their wives to discuss the engagement.

Callie sneaked away with Liam when her parents were no longer focused on her trying to go into her room, dragging him up the stairs.

After getting into the room, Callie locked the door behind them and drew Liam who was looking around her room into a tight room, squealing in excitement.

Liam drafted his hands around her thin waist and hugged her, sinking his face into her hair and breathing in her scent, he chuckled looking at the little girl who believed him wholeheartedly without knowing him truly or knowing his true mindset.

He was indeed in love with her but he was more in love with her being the sole heiress of the Ross properties all over the globe.

Callie sank her head deeper into trying to get used to the warmth his body was emitting, biting him on his chest she earned a hissing sound and she secretly giggled.

" What do you think you are doing, huh?? " Liam asked squeezing her a little tighter than before and trying to put her body into his to quench the heat he was feeling.

" Am doing nothing, am just hugging my fiancee " Callie interjected looking at him with seductive eyes and with a mischievous smile on her lips.

Gulping down, he silently looked at the naughty cat in his hands, turned her around with speed, and pinned her against the wall, licking her earlobes he muttered a soft sigh in her ears and planted a short kiss on her lips.

Pushing himself away from her, he gave her a light peck on her forehead and muttered,

" I love you, darling, see ya tomorrow " and walked out with his hands in his pockets leaving the desperate Callie with an unfulfilled desire.
