Jealousy

Kylie drove around the whole of Chennai until she stop at a playground which was filled with kids and their mothers, staring out of her car to the playground she looked at the seesaw where two kids were busy playing.

She remembered when her brother always sneaked her out of the house at night time to play here which wasn't far from their home whenever her mother scolded her.

She remembered the first time he had brought her here and the questions, she had asked him innocently.

An eight-year-old Kylie and a fifteen-year-old Asher jumped out of the balcony which was on the 2nd floor and sneaked out through the back gate, so they won't be caught.

" Brother, where are you taking me to?? " the young Kylie asked with a pout on her ice cream-smeared lips.

" Don't worry, Fatty we will get there soon " Asher had replied smiling at his little cute sister.

" But won't mum and dad get angry at us for sneaking out,, " Kylie asked blinking her eyelashes at her big brother who was her superhero.

" No, we won't get caught unless you tell it to someone, will you tell it to anyone?? " He asked

" No, No little Fatty won't tell this to anyone, not even sister Callie," Kylie said shaking her head and batting her cute lashes.

" that's good," he said patting her head, he pulled her along with him toward the playground.

Young Kylie giggled in happiness looking at the place she had wanted to go but her mum had refused her, looking up at her brother she hugged him tight and muttered

" thank you big brother "

" there's no need to thank me little Fatty am your superhero after all " Asher smiled looking down at the little pumpkin.

" Don't worry brother to show my appreciation, I will get married to you when I grow up. " Kylie said licking her fingers which were still smeared with ice cream, blinking innocently.

" Really, will you marry me," Asher asked amused at his sister's words?

" yes " the young Kylie nodded her head innocently.

" Okay, then don't forget your promise," Asher said and Kylie nodded fervently.

All night long they had played there in the playground and enjoyed themselves only to get back home and be scolded by their parents but they always continued sneaking out.

Kylie sighed at how naive she was back then, she had o marry her own brother ' what a joke '.

She smiled looking at the seesaw, even if she didn't have that necklace, she sure do have enough memories of him to live with till she died.

She returned her attention to her car and drove away it was time to meet with her Grandma.

Xander walked into the office with a smile on his face, he responded when the secretaries greeted him and walked to his office.

When he sat down on his chair, the intercom rang and he picked up and said

" Yes, this is the CEO's personal assistant how may I help you "

" to my office now, " Nathan said and dropped his intercom gritting his teeth.

" yes, boss," Xander said and rushed out toward his boss's office.

Getting inside his boss's office, Xander was surprised at the temperature inside the room it felt like the north pole was placed right here because it felt so cold.

Lifting his eyes, he saw his boss standing by the floor-to-ceiling window sipping his wine, walking toward him, he stop and

" yes boss, you called me, Xander said bowing his head in greeting and he sighed looking at his boss, who looked like a good sent from the heavens to bless the earth with his presence.

" Yes, Xander " Nathan said with a cold voice and a frosty expression on his face.

" How can I help you " Xander mumbled trembling slightly from the cold gaze his boss was giving him.

Opening up the locket which he had removed from his pocket, he showed both photos to Xander and asked with the expression of a grim reaper out to reap souls.

" Who is this man that breathes in the same locket as my wife huh?? " Nathan asked looking at the picture of unhappiness written all over his face.

Xander shook his head in relief and sighed, ' so his boss had called him just because of this ' what a pain in the ass he had thought he was going to die.

" Boss, he is the madam's elder brother who has past away 7 years ago from a tragic accident " He muttered looking at his boss, he wondered why his boss was acting like a husband who caught his wife cheating.

Nathan was rendered speechless by what Xander had just said, Kylie's brother, Kylie had a brother and he was feeling bitter all morning because of her brother.

Ah!!!

How childish of him, he couldn't believe he was almost getting mad and planning to kill someone which was not a new thing to him because of that.

Looking closely at the pictures inureiiinsures bothhhthth sister and brother, he was utterly embarrassed.

" Boss are you alright?? " Xander asked gazing at his boss's face which was switching from one expression to another.

" Why... Why wasn't this in the research you did huh?? " Nathan asked looking at Xander with curious stares.

" I had thought it was of no importance, so I removed it " Xander replied scratching his head.

" Everything about my future wife is of utmost importance to me got it and no details should be left out next time " Nathan muttered with a straight face.

" Yes, boss " Xander bent his head wondering what he had done wrong.

" You may leave "

Nathan turned back and sat on his chair, gazing at the necklace he wondered why this person looked familiar to him like he has known or seen him somewhere before.

Thinking hard, he tried to remember where he had seen this person but he couldn't get any recollection, he sighed and dropped the necklace inside his drawer, it was time to deal with those scumbags that tried to kidnap Kylie at the club.
