Fan count

About half an hour later, Yang Jingshen entered his room and shut the door as he wiped off the tears on his face. His clothes were crumpled and there were some light red bruises showing on his arms and shoulders.

Even so, he didn't look sad or depressed in the slightest as a triumphant little smile could be seen curling about the rosy, lush lips. 'She's thousand years too early to deal with me.'

Yang Jingshen would admit that things had gotten a bit out of hand after his meng attack failed. His angry cousin had lashed out at him in her stress and he had been forced to act out a huge drama in order to get out of the painful beating.

He had wailed and shouted exaggeratedly, even bringing his ultimate weapon, the crying abilities, to the war front. Needless to say, Yang Jingshen had managed to achieve victory with flying colors– which once again proved that Feng Xue was weak to the tear attack of her younger sister, even if she didn't respond much to the act of selling meng.

'*sigh* Really fierce, and no one could ever guess. I really feel sorry for whoever would be deceived by her and end up as her husband.'

While he was waiting in the living room for the drama to finish broadcasting, Yang Jingshen had heard two 'ping' sounds indicating two new notifications in his ear. As was expected, one of them was the above message.

Seeing this value that was displayed, he nodded his head with a satisfied look on his face. During the last period when he was in H city, this value had kept increasing, except on the day he came back from his last trip to the heart lake when it got reduced by more than 400 points at once.

He had a good inkling as to why that ghost *cough* excuse him– that soul was throwing a hissy fit. After all, he called that girl Feng Xi a peeping Tom ne. Even so, Yang Jingshen pretended to ignore this drop in value. And, that girl too apparently forgot it quickly as the value only kept rising during the rest of his filming.

'Anyway, everything is good as long as it keeps increasing.'

As for the other notification, well… he also had a vague guess as to what it could be. And opening the 'special notifications' section, just as he thought…

Guardian points x150, low-level healing potion x2

Please continue your hard work for better rewards.>

Yang Jingshen thought that it was not bad. After all, getting more healing potions was quite beneficial– they really seem to have a light effect -very light actually- on his leg injury, and the beautification effect was not too over the top.

After that first time that had made his skin look smother and brighter, it hadn't done much of an exaggerated change after that. And, he liked to think of it as having a sort of detoxifying effect, which of course was quite a wonderful thing, to be honest.

But, the most important out of today's rewards were nothing but the guardian points. With this, he already had some eight hundred -to be more precise, it was exactly 845- guardian points and yang Jingshen gleefully thought that he should hoard a bit more.

After all, from the day the guardian shop opened in the panel, he had set his eyes upon the two other objects that were displayed in addition to the ones that were already in his possession. Both of them– each had their own uses and looked equally tempting.

'Also, I might get access to even better items in the future. So, why not save a bit more while I can?'

If he had to save, then save it is! Just like he could be a spendthrift when he want to indulge himself, Yang Jingshen was also good at saving when he felt like it. In fact, one might be surprised, but when he starts saving, he could save as well as any authentic miser– probably even better!

Yang Jingshen dreamt that he was surrounded by clocks– not just any clocks, but ones with alarms. Huge, almost mountainous timepieces, that kept blaring nonstop in his ears– really deafening and scary. They came at him like a tidal wave, smothering him under their impossibly big bodies and the unbearable din.

Fortunately, he woke up before he was buried inside all that pandemonium, and after realizing that he was still on his familiar bed, heaved a sigh of relief. In reality, no alarm was ringing. But, that sound– why did it sound so familiar and so... real?

But, Yang Jingshen was too sleepy to think more about this and giving up, blearily turned around and promptly went back to sleep once again.

The culprit of his clock nightmare: "..." So much for waking up.

Even if he went back to sleep, Yang Jingshen still felt like he didn't sleep properly. It felt like he dreamt endlessly of this and that– some scary and some downright stupid. So tiring ah!

And by the time he woke up in the morning, he had a splitting headache and a temper worse than that of a hungry bear after winter hibernation.

Yang Jingshen grumpily brushed his teeth as he stared at the mirror and habitually recalled the panel back into reality. Nothing unusual in this action– after all, he does this from time to time, to check if there was anything new.

But, once he saw a red, notification symbol with a number of one over the 'statistics' section, he involuntarily spat out the toothpaste foam in his mouth.

You have successfully won the hearts of many people and finally managed to reach a fan count of 10,000. As a form of recognition for your fame and popularity, you'll be awarded the following.

Guardian coins x200, Soul coins x5

Please keep up your hard work in continuing to win the hearts of the people!>

Yng Jingshen silently wiped off the white, foamy stain on the bathroom mirror after reading through this message. So, this special notification was the real culprit that caused his sleep to go out of whack. But, with this kind of reward, could he even get angry?

'So, was this what that soul guardian meant when it said that I would have more chances to get soul coins in the future?'

But, what with this fan count reaching 10,000? On his Weibo account alone, he had around 15,000 fans so far. Even if he ignored the two thousand-something zombie fan count in it, what about the rest? It had been three days since the drama was first aired, so an increase in the fan count was fully acceptable– but what's with this number?

'Could it be– this is the real number of fans I have?' Honestly, he was expecting the drama's viewers to start scolding him after his first scene was broadcasted in yesterday's episode.

After all, he was acting as a villain, and contrary to everyone's expectations, 'My forever spring' had good views -more than three thousand already-, so it was inevitable that someone who knew of his, or rather Feng Xi's past scandal would watch this and spread the gossip.

But, what bewildered Yang Jingshen the most wasn't any of this. It was this new special notification showing that he had a fan count of ten thousand. What exactly is this?
