Cement Formula and Grima

Arthur has cleaned the library from all the dust, dirt, and cobwebs around. It is obviously difficult to read a book while coughing from all the dust that one inhales. Afterwards, he proceeds to reading a book named the history of cement.

He looks at the first page and he sees that he doesn't know who the author while the date is a bit confusing. The date written is August 11, 2022. Is this perhaps a book from the future?

After hearing the system's answer, Arthur immediately begins to read the book. He is amazed by the knowledge he is taking in. It seems like the book is written for someone in the past to understand the terms.

Cement is used as a binder for construction. It is composed of different materials with silica, alumina, and iron. Arthur is not familiar for the first two ingredients but he is familiar with iron. Good thing there is an illustration to this material as well as how this is manufactured.

At a certain high temperature, these materials are mixed together with gypsum. The system or the 'librarian' has also told him the equivalent of these materials that he didn't know.

Arthur's mind has been opened and he wants to apply this knowledge to the city as soon as possible. He lacks money, though. The ten gold coins will surely help after he finishes the mission.

Arthur feels like he is overloaded with information but he is happy that he gets to comprehend these difficult books. He is thankful to the system for answering most of his 'dumb' questions as the voice described it to mock Arthur.

Arthur feels good and excited as he asks the System. "How do I use the lottery?"

Suddenly, a wheel appears in front of him divided to uneven portions. He looks at what he can get. There is a chance to get a million gold coins! This is amazing!

The system then briefs him about the roulette lottery. "All you have to do is spin this and you have a chance to get rewards."

Arthur spins the wheel and it rotates quickly until it slows down. Suddenly, the arrow stops between the rewards 1000 gold coins and Special Forces Training Manual.

"What did I get?" Arthur asks the system as he is confused.

"Wait a second." The voice replies nervously and there has been a sound of object being thrown out. There is also a sound as if someone is flipping through a book. "There is a rule like this? Sh*t"

Arthur is confused about what's happening when the voice heaves a sigh. "This is a very rare occurrence as such you will get both rewards."

This time, a big pouch appear from thin air and it drops so fast that Arthur becomes afraid of catching it. 'Is this system perhaps mad?'

He looks at the thin book that dropped alongside the pouch. Written in front is 'America's Secret: Special Forces Training Manual'

"Your luck is really good." The system says as it sees Arthur holding the manual.

"How can I use this? I don't have a talent in swordsmanship or magic." Arthur confusedly asks as he doesn't understand what makes him 'lucky' to get this. Though, he thinks deeply and understands that he can use this to train the city guards.

"You are right. You can train your own elite squad and I assure you that with the proper adherence to this manual, someone can compete with even skilled swordsmen. You can also use this for yourself. The reason this is a secret of a future country is because it can turn anyone regardless of talent into an elite fighter."

Arthur becomes intrigued as he looks at the first page of the manual. It gives a brief detail of how to start the training. The meals per day are also specific. If what the system said is true, then can his city have a military strength equal to the Kingdom of Windshire?

This is a special manual and he likes to try for himself. The gold coins are real from his inspections and Arthur is sure that the books he has read cannot exist in this era. They seem to use specialized machinery that are only possible with magic in this era.

Perhaps he can create his dream city where there isn't just prosperity but also freedom and peace?

Arthur is now interested as to what the carriage from the future looks like and what is it made of. For now, he needs to focus on creating the wall. It seems like his 1000 gold coins will be gone soon after the construction of the city walls.
