🍂🍂🍂🍂Late Aza Jamal's Mansion🍂🍂🍂🍂
Keya Jamal is in her late husband's mansion with her three children, laughing and chattering when she is informed by a servant that the solicitor is around and wants to see her.
She sends the servant to direct him to the hall and dismissed the children from the hall yet they won't budge till the solicitor came in.
Total silence became the order in the hall, immediately after, the solicitor entered. Grumblings could be heard which are made by the children.
They are aware that the solicitor never brings good news for them so their countenances could tell Hazam that he is not welcome.
I don't care, he thought. I am only here because of my old friend and his daughter. I believe the little girl is still alive.
This evil woman just wants to hide her so she could keep her inheritance and he will not allow that. Allah forbid!
I bless Allah that Aza listened to me if not, maybe that would have been the end of beautiful Ameera.
If he had not stipulated in the will that Ameera must sign in the will once she gets to the age of twenty before her fortune will be given to her, this evil woman would have gotten her inheritance for herself and her children.
"Children, will you give us some space I would like to discuss with the solicitor in private," she said looking at her children.
She also dismissed the servants in the hall. Suppressing her hate for him and his stupid religion. She knows, Hazam will not be in her house that evening if he didn't have something strong to hold against her.
"Kυρία Jamal" Hazam bows to acknowledge her.
The children and the maids file out of the hall although not without a word from the youngest who is not aware of her mother's evil doings.
"kýrios Ali, why do you keep bringing up old memories we are trying to forget?" She complained.
"Nadira," screamed her mother. " I don't remember inviting you into this conversation. Now, follow your older siblings and give the elders space to talk".
" Yes, mamá" she muttered vacating the hall.
"I am sorry for the way my daughter spoke to you Hazam," she said with a forced sweet smile.
"Kυρία Jamal, I understand and I don't mind. I won't take your time. I am only here to discuss my old friend's Will with you" he said raising his eyes to meet hers while sitting himself down.
"What? I thought we were done with that" Keya said a little alarmed.
" No, we are not. My late friend specifically told me not to inform you or his daughter, that until she is twenty years of age she won't be allowed to take over his businesses and riches," still looking at her and attempting to read her expression. He sees anger and then fear in her countenance.
"I see...What is the will about?" She finally said after her twenty minutes plus silence.
"She is to sign first when she is off age and each year, she is to sign before any business transactions are to take place". He said bringing out papers and spreading them on the large dining table.
He lifts his eyes to meet hers again and what he sees brought a bone-chilling fear to his heart.
"Mind I inform you, Kυρία Jamal, that I am not the only one having a copy of this will. The king of Novoland does have a copy in case of foul play" he sees her hands trembling.
He smiles... Now, I have gotten you, madam, he thought. " That is not all Kυρία, he also stated that if something is to happen to her that his entire wealth and that of her mother under her name be given to the kingdom of Novoland that's why the king has the copy" watching her blank face with different raging emotions storming in them.
" How could he do this to me and my children? How could he do that? I am his wife and he left nothing for me" she bellows.
"Whatever he has left for Ameera, he believes it is more than enough to take care of you since Ameera is a compassionate child. Besides, everyone knows you are well off. Your late husband, the father of your children left a fortune for you too" Hazam said.
"What do you know? You bigoted Muslim, I do not know why the king of Novoland allows your kind to be sullying this land," she gritted out.
"You can say whatever you want to say about my religion but I don't care. What I care about is that you provide Ameera Jamal wherever you have taken her to if not her fortune goes to the kingdom in the next month" he stands up to flee the mansion.
Where did my late friend pick this type of woman from as a wife he wondered shaking his head.
How dare he do this to me? keya weeps inwardly, after everything I did for his daughter, he wills everything to her... Oh I am going to provide her for sure she chuckles evilly and after, I will get rid of her as I should have done.
No, no she countered herself, I can't kill her yet, meaning I need to keep her alive but enslaved to me.
It is time I visit my mother's land and bring my daughter home. Before that, I must arrange how to deal with her.
Maybe it is time I take the hands offered to me by the demon king, I feel it is going to come in handy in the future she thought.
She smiled smugly calls her children back to the hall. The children are not cognizant of the depths of their mother's heart.
The children come into the hall with unhappy faces. "Mama, why was the solicitor here?"Nadira the youngest asked.
All three eyes turn to their mother watching her with expectant eyes hoping, she will answer their questions for once.
"It seems your sister is still alive and not dead as we thought," she said with suppressed anger.
All three of them cheered up putting on a smile except of course Nadira's smile which is forced.
She was the one, her mother has offered to the prince to replace Ameera as the prince's of Novoland betrothed.
She was rejected by the prince, and since then, she has had nothing but contempt against Ameera. She feels, she has bewitched the prince with her beauty.
"Why do you look so aggrieved, mother? Is this not good news something we are supposed to celebrate?" Nafisa, Nadira's twin asked.
"Yes, mother this is great news. Now people will stop suspecting us of bringing her harm because of her fortune" Hassam chipped in, supporting her sister.
"What is so great about the news? It is not like we are the ones responsible for her negligence, in taking care of herself that got her kidnapped" Nadira said. Two eyes turn to her bewildered.
"Nadira, how can you be so cruel towards your sister?" Nafisa said. Not hiding the disgust she feels at her sister's words.
"This is not the time to argue, I will be leaving for my mother's kingdom soon... I am told that's where she was last seen by a stranger," she said lying once again to her children.
"Who told you, mother? Is it the solicitor" Nadira asked. Nadira is not a bad person she is just offended by being humiliated by the crown prince so hence, her farce hate towards her sister.
Yet, the mother does not trust she is capable of wishing harm on her stepsister, so she decided to leave her in the dark.
"A servant heard it from some traders and he told me about it last month. I was planning to go check on it to see if it is true or not" she answered.
"Since last month mother? And you are thinking of going now? This is interesting" Nadira said getting up to go to her room.
" Where are you going Nadira?"
"Mother, I believe you have something to do with the disappearance of Ameera and the solicitor must have said something about it, now, you are thinking of bringing her back. I wish you luck but I don't want to be dragged into this. The last time, I was dragged into your plans I paid dearly for it," she turns around, heading to her room.
"Nadira, you ungrateful child" she roars.
