Chapter Eight-----Convincing her

After Ameera left angrily, Nadira followed her to explain to her why she was in Kafata.

"adelfí(sister) " she fondly called. Ameera stops in her steps hearing the longing in her voice.

"áse me ísycho Nadira (leave me alone Nadira) " Ameera moves ahead without glancing back.

Nadira broke down in tears. She weeps for the suffering she knows her sister has been going through for the past fourteen years.

She sobs angrily... Her heart was full of contempt against her mother overwhelmed that her mother could be so evil.

"My lady" she raises her tearful eyes to the voice. The prince of kafta stands before her and she sees Rayan standing close by.

She hastily struts up and pounced on Rayan with full rage. "You knew didn't you?"

"My lady, I am only finding out" he answers avoiding her eyes.

"Even though you are just finding out, why didn't you send her back? You made an heiress a slave to serve a whimsy spoilt brat of a princess, an heiress in her own right, an heiress whose godmother is the star queen that rules over the entire realm, an heiress who is betrothed to the star prince!" She roared gripping him around the neck.

"Cousin stop! Do you think I wanted to be a part of this? I only thought about protecting my father who told me to keep it a secret" he retorted plucking her hands from his collar angrily.

"What are you both talking about?" The prince who could no longer hold back his confusion asked them.

Are they talking about his Ameera? Engaged? Star prince? This has got to be a joke right? He should be pleased, she is not a slave because now he can ask her to marry him.

Yet he is not glad at all. "I heard you call Ameera, your sister. How is she your sister Lady Nadira?" The prince questioned.

"Have you heard of Aza Jamal?" Nadira asked directing her question to the prince.

"Yes, who doesn't know of him? The greatest merchant in the realm. A close friend of the king of Novoland" the prince answered.

"Yes, that's him and he is Ameera's father. Ameera is known as Princess Ameera Jamal. The goddaughter of the star queen of Novoland. Betrothed of Crown prince Rasheed Bajhat of Novoland also known as the Star prince. So I will advise you to release my sister at once," Nadira gritted out.

"What?" Prince Hassan asked dumbly.

"Yes, she is my woman," said a handsome silver hair man descending slowly.

Everybody turns to the voice and they are surprised to see the prince of Novoland standing before them.

They all immediately bow down to him.

"Rise, I have no time for this. I am here to take princess Ameera to Novoland" he said curtly.

"Your highness, we had no idea she was your betrothed or the crown princess chosen by your mother" prince Hassan said in fear.

His fear could be seen visibly and he was shaking. It was one thing to be in love with her and it was another to find out she is a princess even higher than himself in status.

He can't forget how she was treated so badly as a slave, not even a servant and how his sister has been making her life miserable since she came here .

Fright grips the prince, not for himself but for his sister who has been a fool and has treated her so unkindly.

What a world! Who would have thought Ameera is an heiress not just that but a crown princess ordained by the queen.

What would become of this Kingdom if the star prince decides to pursue retribution for all the evil that has been done to his betrothed.

Ameera who has been watching the scene unfold before her at a corner was stupefied not at the fact that she is being recognized finally for who she is.

She was in shock because of the handsome stranger standing before her. He was the same person she saw in her room two months ago.

He was the same person, she saw standing close to her when she was bound to the tree. Never in her wildest imagination, would she have thought he was the cherub, silver hair playmate she used to play with whenever she visited her godmother at the palace.

He is grown so well, still spellbound by his looks. He is so handsome that he takes her breath away. At first, she didn't want to make herself known but now she has no choice.

It seems her revenge against her stepmother is going to happen quicker than she thought.

Nadira spots Ameera observing them in her corner then she calls out "adelfí (sister) "

Ameera steps out from her hiding. Turning to her sister, she said maliciously to her "faínetai óti I ekdíkisí you tha gínei pio grígora apó ó,ti nómiza(it seems my revenge is going to happen faster than I thought)"

"adelfí, den ékana poté típota gia na se pligóso (sister, I did never do anything to hurt you) " Nadira replies to her.

She turns to look at the silver hair prince and said "den tha se synchoríso poté (I did never forgive you)".

The prince is taken aback at the vehement outburst directed at him. What has he done? He has watched over her though she wasn't aware.

Why is she angry with him to the extent of never forgiving him. He is baffled and overwhelmed.

He came here immediately the spies he sent into her stepmother's home had informed him that the stepmother was acting weirdly.

He was worried something bad would happen to her. So, he decided to damn caution to hell, and take her home with him.

This is how he is treated for his efforts. "Calm down Rasheed" he told his wandering mind.

"Giatí(why)" he asked. He was not a man of many words

Ameera is not surprised that he answers her with just one word. He has always been that way since they were young.

Though he is five years older than she was, he was the worse person for anyone to think of having a conversation with.

Whenever they played together, she was the one that always did the talking when they were younger and it looks like he has not changed at all.

"I want to make myself clear," she said in English raising her voice so that all who has gathered will listen to her including the spoilt princess who has been stunned into silence since the beginning.

"I, Ameera Jamal always pay back every due in tenfold what has been done to me. In that manner, I will start with you Javeria".

She moves towards the direction of Javeria and gave her a resounding slap that likely bruise her fair skin.

"How dare you? stupid fool," Soha said jumping on Ameera but Ameera overpowers her and flip her to the ground.

She uses one of her legs to pin her to the ground and she said in a murderous manner "Only fools fight over lost battles and you have proven yourself to be one".

She removes her leg from her neck... Then she walks over to Rayan gritting out " Even death is not enough punishment for all the atrocities you have committed hope you know that?"

Rayan falls to the ground realizing his death is not far from him. He feels sorry for Samiha who would be an early widow.

"Den me noiázei an eísai méros ton kakón práxeon tis mitéras sou í óchi, aplá sas misó ólous gia óla ( I don't care if you are part of your mother's evil deeds or not, I just hate you all for everything) "Ameera said in pure hate.


Hearing those words from her elder sister killed Nadira but she understood her. She would have done worse if she was in her position.

"Xéro aderfí, as páme spíti kai tha sou po óla ósa ypóschomai aplá dóse mou mia efkairía (I know sister, let's just go home and I will tell you everything I promise, just give me a chance) ".

"den tha páei pouthená mazí sou Nadira( she is not going anywhere with you, Nadira)" Rasheed said in a commanding tone that screams obedience.
