The tomb stood looming over us as I sighed "It's been confirmed, this is indeed the Tomb of Nazarick. The only concern is if it is only Momonga or the others are there as well. While he might cooperate there is also the chance that cooperation will be off the table."
Kojiro nodded before chiming in "Beware of [Dimension Lock], it'll cause trouble. I recommend Captain take on whichever is the strongest guardian."
I glared at him, these twats were out for blood. "I'll return and then punishment will be handed out in blood."
I stepped through the other entrance as my group each went out own seperate ways. Except I now had another person stuck with me. Arche was her name. Some random loss of direction had separated her from her team. She simply stayed with me for safety.
A horde of skeletons rattled their way towards me. My hand swung as Kiyomitsu appeared for a brief instant. That was all I needed.
[Endless Sword-Endless Slash]
The katana disappeared the instant it appeared. The skeletons fell as pieces of bone blew away in a flurry of air from the numerous slashes executed within that instant. I really wanted to place restrictions on the blade.. But...
Of course he was the most unfortunate one. Maybe maxing out his weapons came back to bite him back in the ass considering that it couldn't be restricted. Arche continued to stare at me although she didn't see the blade she for a moment saw a flash of black near his hands. Without a doubt it was the handle of a katana, a tsuba.
Nevertheless she would not pry into it. After-all a lot of people had different circumstances. "Arche." I called out to her. She responded with a nervous voice "Yes?"
"If you want to stay alive, keep close to me."
"I'm bored of playing by the rules."
First floor in and I was bored and was weary of seeing the same god damned walls every time. The catacombs were ridiculous. Another horde of skeletons and undead monsters charged only to be diced into pieces within coming close to a 10m radius.
I raised my hand as Kiyomitsu appeared. Arche seemed to be mystified by the peerless blade. An icy blue shine covered the blade as I raised it up and pierced down.
[Lightless-Absolute Thrust]
The sword pierced with a white beam as it broke through a hole straight down two floors. It was good enough for a halfhearted thrust.
Arche and him floated down with [Fly]. For him he did not know the magic fly as it was a restriction. Luckily for him and the others there was a swordsman edition.
The [Heavenly Steps] a technique that provided the best movement for swordsmen as it allowed them to walk on air and the movement technique allowed for faster movements than the [Flash Step].
There she was. I didn't even need to think, no, this was definitely a floor guardian and from the looks of it this was the strongest floor guardian.
"Greetings Okita Souji, Lord Ainz sama has sent me here to test you."
I pondered "That didn't really sound like Momonga, doesn't matter anyway."
"I'm guessing a meeting with Momonga isn't possible?" Her eyes became slits as bloodlust poured off her in waves. "You dare utter the name of the supreme being without any honorifics?"
I shrugged "Don't get what's so great about him apart from his great spell arsenal and utility."
"I don't supposed I can get your name as you got mine?"
"Be grateful as this will be the last thing you hear human."
"Shaltear Bloodfallen."
I reached out for my main weapon, Norimune. From within the space of empty void where the blade basked in the void it reached out into existence. Shaltear's eyes widened as she realised what I held.
"Norimune, my most trusted katana apart from Kiyomitsu."
"Be honoured you will learn of its name before your defeat."
Shaltear charged at me with speed befitting of the strongest guardian.
[Eye of the Mind]
The sense of danger came as I dodged to the side before countering with a slash. Her lance intercepted it before a quick burst of mana brought forth. [Mana Burst] The unexpected extra momentum pushed her all the way back into the wall. I could tell, she was mad.
[Haste]
[Protection of Arrows]
[Pierce Invulnerable]
[Ignore Defence]
[Damage Cut]
A little bit of my mana drained as I got ready, If I could I would finish her off without revealing too many of my cards.
[Reduced Earth]
Shaltear backed up in an instant as the distance between me and her was reduced in an instant as if space and earth had folded to get me from point A to point B instantly.
[Absolute Sword- Three Stage Purgatory Thrust]
The icy blue light covered my blade as Shaltear's armour was reinforced and her magic formed a shield in front of her.
But no, this was not a move that could be defended by simply blocking it once it was a three thrusts executed at the same time. At that time, three blades and three different thrusts existed. Shaltear grinned as she moved her shield into the thrust only for two thrusts faster than the naked eye pierce through her armour and shoulder the exact moment the first one hit her shield.
"RGHAAA!"
The holy ice elements infused burned her from the inside.
[Black Keys]
A skill I picked up from a church quest once when I needed to kill a group of vampire lords with the rest of the Shinsengumi. A magic that would manifest and pierce all evil/undead related creatures.
[Internment Rite]
Shalltear was partially petrified as her regeneration was stopped by the damned mysterious rapiers weapons. "I won't kill you, only because I need to meet Momonga. I'll release you and you'll take me to him. He should know me and my other guild members already. If you even show hostility, your life is forfeit."
[Fear] was casted due to the bloodlust.
Shalltear nodded as I yelled "Momonga! I know you heard that. You'll be witness to my oath."
Shalltear rose up before she lunged at me from my back. [Reduced Earth] allowed for one evasion for any attack that would definitely hit. As long as it was a certain hit then the evasion would kick in. Shalltear lunged at empty air as I stood there. I had no fear, I was going to cut her into tiny pieces.
[Absolute Sword- Endless Slash]
Shalltear froze before multiple meaty chunks slid and fell to the floor with a thud. The pieces sizzled from the frost burn of Norimune. I swung Norimune as the blood splattered onto the tomb floor.
"A pity. I would have had a good guide."
