Candy ran out of the house with tears falling down her beautiful cheeks..she was so gonna teach those witches some lessons.
She ran to a quiet and peaceful place...where she and the wind were alone.
She stayed there for almost 30 minutes and guessed that her stepmother and sisters must have already left for the Ball.
She just stared at thin air, until she heard the sound of a old woman.
She woman sounded like she was in trouble, and curious...Candy went to check who it was and what was going on.
When she went too look, she was an old lady dragging her bag from a man dressed in black.
She knew he was a thief and he was trying to take the old lady's bag, no wanting to help the old lady.
Candy looked around and saw a bug stick, she went towards it, took it and used it to hit the man.
The man fell down in pain and held his back head which was bleeding and he then ran away.
Candy took the old woman and sat her down on the bench she was seating on and helped her with her things.
After she was done, she sat beside the old lady on the bench and the old lady then said, "Thank you child.....I don't know what would have happened to me if you weren't there."
Hearing that, Candy smiled and then said, "No need to thank me ma'am.... anyone would have done the same thing if they were in my shoes."
Old lady, "But you still helped me.... there must be a way I can repay you."
Candy, "No seriously, I'm fine....I just did what was right, there is no need for you to worry."
Hearing that, The old lady smiled warmly at Candy and then said, "I'm really surprised."
A little confused, Candy said, "Surprised?...why."
Old lady, "Well I thought that every beautiful girl like yourself will be at the prince's ball tonight but instead here you are.... seating on this old bench all alone....I wonder why."
Hearing that, Candy just kept quiet and so did the old lady, few minutes later, Candy finally said, "I did want to go, but the dress I was supposed to wear got torn."
Old lady, "Well that's no reason for you to loose this opportunity of a life time....you could have just borrowed a dress from your sisters if you have sisters or wore one if your fancy dresses if I'm not wrong."
Candy, "Yes you are right but I don't own any fancy dresses.....that was the only dress and memory of my mother and now it's gone."
Hearing that, the old lady looked at Candy with sad eyes and then said, "is your mom dead."
Candy, "Not just my mom, my dad also."
Old lady, "Then who are you currently living with."
hearing that Candy hesitated a little before answering, "I'm currently living with my stepmom and stepsisters."
old lady, "I see....no wonder."
Candy and the Old lady spent sometime talking, and Candy ended telling her everything about her life and all the whole things her stepmother and sisters have put her through.
And the old lady felt moved from her story and then said, "I'm sorry for all the things you have been through....I know you said you don't need any help but I would like to do something that can benefit both of us."
Curious to know, Candy said, "Which is..."
Old lady, "I'm a fashion designer and u just made a beautiful dress and the person who is the owner will come pick it up by twelve, but u don't know if it will fit the person right....So u want you to wear the dress for me and use to for the ball."
Hearing that, Candy's face brightened up and she then said, "Really....you are gonna give me a dress."
Old lady, "I haven't finished yet....I will not just give you a dress, I will also get you a carriage so you can get there in time."
Hearing that, Candy was in all smiled and the hugged the old lady happily.
The old lady then took Candy to her workshop which was in her house.
She gave Candy the beautiful dress and Candy wore it with an happy Express.
She came out if the dressing room, her hair was done and with the dress on...she really looked like a Cinderella.
The dress was long and it was sky blue and white in color....it even sparkled.
She then hugged the old lady and then got in the carriage which was as beautiful as her dress.
But before she left, the old lady then said to her with a serious tone, "Don't forget....you must get here by 12 sharp."
Hearing that, Candy nodded and the carriage left. She was finally on her way to the palace, just like every Cinderella story...she always found a godmother.
