Pierce and Clarissa

Clarissa was constantly standing behind the mysterious man before her. she glanced around the deserted surroundings and started to get scared because the mysterious man wouldn't turn to face her, making her even more curious.

"Hey," she called.

The mysterious man slowly turned to face Clarissa. He smiled warmly while the girl in front of him looked so shocked that she accidentally dropped her bag.

"You?"

Clarissa did not expect that the mysterious man was Pierce, the man she had wanted all along. Her heart was beating fast, her hands were sweating cold and her body was limp. she liked not knowing why he had bought her through someone else's intermediary, nor did she expect him to be interested in buying her while he had been so flat on her.

"Are you surprised?" asked Pierce, approaching Clarissa and then bending down to pick up her dropped bag.

Clarissa bent her face, glancing at Pierce who was cleaning the dirty bottom of her bag.

"I purposely told my friend to buy you because I was planning something," Pierce said, handing the bag to Clarissa.

"What plan?" Clarissa asked, still scared because she didn't know what Pierce's real character was either. in her heart, she wondered whether after this she would be taken away to be happy or even made miserable, or maybe the man in front of her was just an intermediary because maybe he didn't want her service either.

"I can't explain without evidence, so you have to come with me now," Pierce replied, quickly opening the car door and letting Clarissa in. "Come in, don't be afraid," he said when he noticed the fear on Clarissa's face.

"This is weird," Clarissa whispered.

"Yeah, but this is something you never expect," said Pierce casually. "Come on, come on in. We don't have much time."

Full of fear and curiosity, Clarissa finally entered the car. Pierce immediately got in and drove the car at an average speed.

"Have you eaten yet?" asked Pierce.

"Yes, I've already eaten," Clarissa replied, glancing at Pierce who was focused on driving. She was again fascinated by the man's good looks. a nose that has a perfect sharp shape, a firm jaw, lips that are not too thin and not too thick, eyebrows that are a bit thick, and hair that is neatly combed. To her, that appearance was very dignified, showing that the man was an honorable man.

"Good, at least we don't have to waste time eating in cafes or restaurants."

"Yes."

Pierce kept his focus on driving again, occasionally glancing at Clarissa, who occasionally glanced at him. It made him smile while the girl immediately looked away.

"You act like you're not a whore," Pierce said.

"Then what is the attitude of a real whore? Do you know?" Clarissa asked curiously about whether maybe the man beside her was used to getting services from a prostitute girl like her.

"What I know from what I've seen, not from my own experience ... Prostitutes are usually seductive, cheap," Pierce said casually. "But you're not like that at all. You look like you don't enjoy your job."

Clarissa sighed, swallowed her saliva, and turned to look at the scenery around the street through the open window.

"Who else enjoys a job like this? If I could choose then I would never want to work like this." Clarissa shook her head. "This is not my wish, even my parents who are already on the side of God must be very disappointed to see my fate."

"Oh, so both of your parents are dead?" Pierce confirmed.

"Since I was 3 years old," Clarissa explained without turning her head. "They died in an employee bus accident."

"So sorry to hear that," Pierce said, suddenly feeling even more determined to change Clarissa's fate.

After a few minutes of driving, Pierce finally stopped his car in the basement of a building. He quickly got off followed by Clarissa, then led her to walk towards the door leading to the hallway that would lead them to the elevator.

Continuing to carry her bag, Clarissa walked silently, following Pierce as they arrived at the elevator. the man pressed the button to the 15th floor, then the door immediately closed.

"Have you ever been to an apartment before?" asked Pierce.

Clarissa nodded slowly with her innocent look. "That was when I was pizza delivery. I was often late so I was fired."

Pierce smiled faintly, imagining Clarissa rushing to deliver pizza. "You ride a motorbike?"

"Yes," said Clarissa.

"That sure looks cute..it's just as rare for a pretty girl like you to ride a motorbike," Pierce said with a smile, glancing at the mirror in front of him which reflected his and Clarissa's reflections.

Clarissa, who realized Pierce's glance, was indirectly praising her beauty. she didn't know what would happen after this, in her heart she hoped that the man would be a good influence on her, not just be nice at first. she was reminded of Daisy who said that Alexander Maxwell was very gentle and even promised freedom.

'I can't have my expectations too high. Maybe he just wants to have my service tonight like Alexander wants to have Daisy's service. there's no way a perfect man like me would want to exceed a girl like me,' she thought, trying to keep up with the fact that she was just a prostitute who had already gotten a bad image from everyone.

Ting...

The elevator door opened. Pierce immediately stepped out but his steps were stopped because Clarissa was lost in thought. He immediately took the girl's hand and asked her out.

"I can't wait to show you something," he said.

"Something like what?" Clarissa asked curiously, walking faster to keep up with Pierce's pace.

Pierce just smiled, occasionally glancing at Clarissa who was so curious. That serious beautiful face made him very excited, felt like kissing her but now wasn't the right time.

"Actually why are you looking at me like that?" Clarissa asked.

"It's okay," Pierce replied, his gaze returned straight ahead until he finally arrived at the door of one of the apartment units.

Pierce pressed the button available on the edge of the door, then pushed it open, revealing the atmosphere of a monochrome room dominated by white and gray, and black furniture. There is a white carpet that extends down a staircase and is strewn with red roses.

Clarissa was silent, not understanding this beautiful thing she saw. She wondered if maybe this was the surprise Pierce was referring to. a romantic surprise that's not just a flower-strewn rug? And why did he give her such a surprise when she was just a prostitute who would only serve him for one night?

"Welcome," Pierce said with a smile, then crouched at Clarissa's feet. "Let me take off your heels," he continued.

Clarissa looked down, staring at Pierce who took off the black heels she was wearing very slowly. She lifted her legs alternately until the 15 cm high heels were completely off. .and of course she was very surprised why the man treat her very special.

Pierce stood back up, looking at Clarissa with a warm smile.

"Why are you doing this?" Clarissa asked.

"Because I want to lead you to a better life," Pierce replied, then took Clarissa's hands gently, looking at her face lovingly. "I want this apartment to be your place to live, our place to live... We will always spend time together here..with love, peace, and ... And this is not between a customer and a prostitute, but between two adult humans who will become a couple," he continued.
