Pierce Tells Daisy

Daisy was sitting in a chair on the side porch. The girl who was still only wearing black lingerie and a thin robe just stared at the view that was bright, and soothing, in stark contrast to her mood were upset because Alexander's presumptuous actions made it up to her while she wasn't ready, let alone she was thinking about Clarissa's fate.

'Oh my God, what kind of fate is this? Why am I always in trouble? Why can't I be like other girls who can just go free without any threat or pressure? Why is the world so unfair to me?' Daisy wondered, feeling so sick of the situation. She couldn't stop imagining that maybe Clarissa was waiting for her and he wouldn't be living there anymore. She imagined how her best friend would go through the days without her when they had been supporting and helping each other.

Daisy clasped her hands together, wiping her tears that had just fallen. This time she felt sick, and sad until her tears fell even though she didn't cry because she always thought she was a strong girl.

"Daisy...."

Daisy turned to the side to find Pierce coming toward her. Seeing the man dressed neatly in a black suit without a tie made her sick because he was part of Alexander's attempt to make it up to Nicole. The girl turned away, refusing to pay attention to the man.

"I'm sorry that my best friend likes you, even though you are not much different than Alexander who likes to act presumptuous!" She said without looking up.

"So your friend likes me?" Pierce smiled, imagining that Clarissa must have said of her interest in Daisy.

"Yes," said Daisy. "but I guess the feeling is wrong because you are not a good guy. I hate you….You must have helped Alexander in the process of redeeming me from Madam Nicole!"

Pierce sighed, then sat down in a chair opposite Daisy across from a round table made of wood painted a natural color. he looked at Daisy who was beautiful, sexy, and also very curt, much different from Clarissa who was very soft and dressed more secretly.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Daisy asked.

"It's okay," Pierce replied, then glanced at the open door so he could slightly see the atmosphere in the very quiet room. "You should be grateful that Mr. Alexander redeemed you from Madam Nicole. You will have your freedom and your life will change."

"This freedom that I feel is meaningless because I never calmed down before my friend was also free," said Daisy annoyed. "She is too weak as a girl, she is always the target of customers who like to have rough sex with her….I can't imagine how she would have been without me there all this time I've always been the one to pay attention to her when she was sick or sad because of the treatment of the customers or madam. A few days ago she was sick, she was sick because of the unpleasant treatment from the customer."

Pierce immediately felt annoyed and also sad because it turned out that Clarissa had been treated harshly a few days ago. It made him think that it made perfect sense that Daisy didn't want to be free while Clarissa wasn't free yet.

"Now I'm here, I don't even know what happened to her last night. Did she get unpleasant treatment and then get sick? I don't know ..." Daisy shook her head, occasionally wiping the tears that were dripping from her eyes. indeed, this situation left her vulnerable and feeling worse than the previous situation. "I feel like going back to that brothel But Alexander already pays $5 million, and maybe Madam won't return the money...even I just found out that the money was paid two days ago before Alexander was here. Whereas two days ago I was still serving customers... Sometimes I'm sick of this injustice. I want to run away from that brothel I want to be free but I don't want to be alone like this… Clarissa is like a sister to me! Nor can I ask Alexander to redeem her because Alexander only wants me..."

"She's free," Pierce said before Daisy finished her sentence.

Instantly Daisy looked at Pierce with wide eyes. "what do you mean?"

"She's been with me since last night," Pierce explained then bent down to get closer to Daisy. he glanced around to make sure no one overheard her conversation with the girl.

"You said since last night she was with you... What does all that mean?" Daisy asked, frowning, in shock and astonishment.

Pierce swallowed his saliva, looking at Daisy seriously. "Please keep this secret."

Daisy nodded enthusiastically.

"I don't know why I am like this but for sure I feel that I love her and I want to give her freedom...I've done that by asking my friend to help me make up for it overnight, then after that, my friend handed her over to me and now she's in my apartment and no one knows she's there. I did that so that Madam Nicole would never suspect me….maybe Madam Nicole is angry right now that my friend hasn't returned her."

"You're endangering your friend," Daisy said, remembering the cruelty of Nicole's thugs.

"He'll be fine since he's already left this country. I deliberately chose him to carry out Clarissa's rescue mission because I knew he was not a native of this country. So you don't have to worry," Pierce explained in a slightly low voice, then glanced at the door for a moment and then looked back at Daisy. "Please, don't tell this to Mr. Alexander because I don't want him to get angry and fire me. I still need this job because I've spent a lot of money to keep Clarissa free and safe," he continued.

"No, I wouldn't do that," said Daisy, shaking her head. She looked at Pierce very seriously, relieved to have released Clarissa even though they had never spoken or touched. "Now I know you must be a good man because you want to free her even though she is a prostitute..you did something so risky for her t freedom... That was amazing."

Pierce smiled brightly at the feeling of being praised by Daisy. "I don't know why but I did… I feel like I'm already in love with her….I couldn't calm down after the first time I saw her," he said.

"And so does she," Daisy said with a faint smile, imagining that Clarissa's face must be flushed with joy because she got the man of her dreams, Pierce. "Finally I saw two humans who fell in love with each other..what happened between you two last night must have been fun..."

"Yeah, a lot of fun." Pierce nodded his head. "You don't have to worry about her anymore because she's safe with me...Even if I'm here, she'll be fine too. Because the apartment I just bought and no one knows that I brought her there."

"That's good, but you didn't tell me earlier," Daisy said, turning to look at Pierce in annoyance. "You let me cry when you know the truth is better now!"

Pierce chuckled in his low voice, staring at Daisy who was back in a huff.

"Sorry, I just wanted to delay telling this good news for a few minutes," he said.

"But it sucks. I hope you don't hurt Clarissa, or you'll have to deal with me!" Daisy confirmed.

"No, I won't hurt her." Pierce shook his head with a smile imagining Clarissa's beautiful face.

Daisy breathed a sigh of relief, feeling no longer worried, starting to imagine how her already free life would turn out. she also imagines having to continue with Alexander who she doesn't love, and also Richard who likes her and is ultimately disappointed that Alexander managed to free her...
