dating

Alexander walked into a cafe with a yellowish-black nuance with white and yellow lighting while holding Daisy's hand. He smiled, glancing at the atmosphere of the cafe which was very quiet because there were only waiters and other employees there. the man invited the girl to sit in a chair complete with a table, then he sat across from her.

"Why is it so quiet?" Daisy asked, glancing around, noticing that there were no other customers besides her and Alexander.

"Because I've booked this place just for us," Alexander replied with a smile then glanced at several women wearing white dresses coming towards them carrying a violin.

Daisy looked at the women who were about to play the violin, then several waiters came with trays of food menus, and some brought black boxes with red ribbons on the lids. The woman swallowed her saliva, not expecting that Alexander would do this for her. she had never dreamed that in her life she would be treated like a queen and be treated specially by someone.

"This is our first date...Dating is generally done at night but I want to do it this morning because I can't wait to always make you happy and smile," said Alexander with a warm smile.

"This is so cool and you're crazy," said Daisy with a faint smile, looking at Alexander who showed too much love for her. "You spend a lot of your money just on a girl like me... Then you do something like this..if anyone knew who I was then they would say that you are stupid because you favor a trash girl like me," she continued.

"It's because of love, and I've never looked at you as a lowly girl or trash girl," Alexander said then reached out to touch Daisy's hand. "Every day you will know how much I love you, and you will not regret that love back," he continued.

"I don't know... The word love seems foreign to me." Daisy pulled her hand away from Alexander's. For some reason, she still feels doubtful and doesn't deserve all that. Remembering her life which was full of twists and difficulty, made her not believe that she could find happiness so easily.

Alexander sighed, trying to stay patient with Daisy who still hadn't opened her heart to fall in love. he was silent again letting the waiters put the dishes on the table, then slowly the women played their violins with John the legend's song all of Me.

Daisy was silent with an uncomfortable feeling, not knowing whether to believe Alexander or not. His treatment today impressed her more than the previous days, but she also felt that what Alexander did was something that a rich man could easily do. she became afraid, the rich man in front of her deliberately gave her luxuries so that she could melt, fall in love, and be hurt. Just like her mother and father.

'No, I can't fall in love with him and I shouldn't have high hopes for him because it will only make me hurt. I have to act casual, maybe a little sweeter to appreciate his efforts that have given me freedom. No love, you have to remember that, Daisy!' Daisy had a monologue to herself inwardly, trying to stay strong on her principle.

"I think you'll like this," Alexander said, handing Daisy the black box.

Daisy took the black box, then looked at Alexander with a frown. "What's this?" she asked.

"That's what you need," Alexander replied.

Daisy became more and more curious and immediately opened the box. she put the box on her lap, then saw what was inside was a golden pink cell phone, ID card, passport, and car keys. The girl shook her head, not understanding what those things meant. In her heart, she wondered if it could be those things for her. .and if it was for her it felt too much because it would cost money to get all that.

"I know you need a cellphone so we can communicate and maybe you can also get entertainment with that cellphone," Alexander said, staring at Daisy who was silent examining the things he gave her. "I also gave you an ID because I'm sure Madam didn't let you have an ID all this time," he continued.

"Then what are these passports and car keys for?" Daisy asked, looking back at Alexander.

"That's a car for you so you can go wherever you want because I'm not always in this city," Alexander explained calmly. "I have to keep my company in California, so I have to divide my time...I'll only be in town 3 days a week because my company in California needs more attention from me. I hope you don't mind this. I gave you a passport so we can travel abroad when I have free time," he continued.

Daisy was silent the more she tried to believe this crazy thing. Given a car, cell phone, passport, ransomed from the embroidery house for 5 million dollars….this all seemed so crazy to her, made her wonder if maybe it was all just love. Was it possible that Alexander loved her to do this to her? or maybe this is an easy thing for Alexander, spending a lot of money to win her heart?

"I want you to be my girlfriend," Alexander said, breaking Daisy's thoughts. He reached into his coat pocket and took out a white ring box with a transparent top.

"Girlfriend?"

"Yes, girlfriend ... I want you to be my girlfriend then live with me, then one day you will be my wife," Alexander explained, showing a pleading look and then showing the ring in the box. "Accept this ring if you accept my love, but if you don't... .just ignore it and I will never come after you. But I will still let you live in freedom because love is never forced," he continued.

Daisy swallowed her saliva, feeling confused and not knowing what to say. She wonders why Alexander would give so much to her even though she didn't accept his love. Of course, this made her feel reluctant to refuse, but she was afraid to accept.

"You... Aren't you angry if I reject you? You're still going to let me go free?" she asked spontaneously.

"Yeah... Because of the freedom you need," Alexander replied with a bend in his face. "I want to have you, but if I can't, at least I can make you happy by giving you freedom and everything you need," he continued.

"But you've spent a lot of money on all this, Alexander! Why... Why did you do that?" Daisy asked.

"Because I love you," Alexander replied. "But love can't be forced... Maybe you still don't believe in me so you don't want me," he continued.

Daisy sighed, thinking hard about whether she should accept Alexander or not. she was really happy with this freedom especially since Clarissa was also free, but to be able to love it was a difficult thing.

'But ... .there's nothing wrong with me accepting it. Since we're only together three days a week, that means I don't have to pretend to love him all the time. At least I should accept it as a token of gratitude….because he might be nice, but I can't get too carried away,' Daisy thought.
