Daisy's doubts

"Clarissa, I really couldn't believe that we're free now. We don't need to serve those philanderers again, including those obnoxious Orlando and Xavier!" said Daisy who was still talking to Clarissa over the phone.

"Yeah..." Clarissa sounded so relieved. "I also didn't expect that behind his cold demeanor the last time he saw me, it turned out that Pierce is planning big things..he asked his friend to pay me 10,000 dollars overnight so madam allowed his friend to take me away from the brothel… at the time I didn't think it was all that and it was him who bought me."

"Yeah, the idea was brilliant… he took a high risk to free you. although he is not as rich as Alexander, he is willing to do that because he already loves you," said Daisy with a smile because she believed that Pierce and Clarissa had loved each other since they first met.

"I can't imagine how it will be when you find out that he's the one who bought you."

"At first I wasn't sure I was so insecure because he was like he was too perfect for me..but he showed his seriousness by giving me an apartment for the two of us to live in ... he even prepared a romantic surprise in this apartment ... I couldn't help but cry because I was moved ... it turns out that someone still loves me even though i.just a whore!"Clarissa explained with great enthusiasm. "Sometimes I think, Pierce is too crazy to take such a high risk to save a girl like me... he is crazy!"

Daisy smiled, then shifted position lying down and staring at the ceiling of the room which was a brownish-white ceiling. "Love has driven him crazy... but let him do that because it's for your good."

"Hmm… it's like a miracle, like a dream… sometimes I still can't believe I'm here in comfort, not in a brothel filled with stress and the fear of having to serve rude men…" Clarissa sighed. "Sometimes when I just wake up I still feel like I'm in a brothel, But moments later I realize I'm already in the apartment with Pierce who is always being nice to me. It's like I won the lottery!"

"I know that, it must be very happy and hard to believe. But anyone deserves to be happy and deserves to be loved regardless of status or situation."

"Hmm... then what about you? Pierce told me that you don't like being bought by Alexander..don't you like it because you still think I'm in a brothel or you just don't want freedom based on his help?"

Daisy sighed, once in a while her hand touched her smooth stomach, remembering Alexander's handsome face that filled her days later. his sweet smile, gentle treatment, luxurious gifts, and promises of a beautiful future, came back to haunt her mind, making her wonder if it was all based on sincerity and would be eternal, or was it all just a momentary pleasure?

"Daisy?"

"Eh..." Daisy woke up from her daydream.

"Are you okay?" Clarissa asked.

"Yeah . . . I'm fine," Daisy replied with a sudden wave of trepidation. "I just feel unsure about Alexander."

"Why? Hasn't he already set you free and shown his love for you?"

"Yeah... that's true." Daisy sat up and then stood up and walked towards the glass wall that showed the outside view of the building and the balcony terrace.

"He gave me so many luxuries. jewelry, car, penthouse, passport, id-card, black card... he gave it all to me then let me roam free without him being afraid I would leave him. I just wonder why he can trust me and give. all of that for me..."

"Because he loves you, Daisy ... there's no need to doubt it," Clarissa reassured.

"He loves me or maybe he can do that easily because he does have a lot of money..he doesn't mind at all to spend a lot of money for me to get pleasure from me, makes me feel reluctant to leave him ... I feel this is all like a bribe...I don't know if it's love or not... I'm just wondering why such a perfect guy wants me," Daisy explained, expressing all doubts in her heart while imagining Alexander's handsome face. "He's too perfect and he can get a girl better than me. but why did he choose me?"

"Why do you think that, Daisy? Of course, he chose you Because he already loves you."

"Or maybe it's because I'm too easy to be toyed with the lure of his wealth," Daisy said anxiously, unable to stop remembering how her mother was utterly deceived by her father using love and luxury and then ended up being abandoned.

"I don't know but it's better now that you think positively. In this world nothing is impossible and any woman has the right to be fought to be loved and treated like a queen, including you," Clarissa said firmly. "You should be confident now."

"I'll give it a try, but I'll also learn to control myself. I won't love him too much," Daisy said, her eyes fixed on Richard who was cleaning the balcony terrace. ."And just so you know... actually I'm also uncomfortable because now I'm faced with a man who once promised me freedom too."

"Who?"

"Richard."

"Is that true?" Clarissa asked in a voice that sounded surprised. "Does he still live there as a penthouse keeper?"

"Yeah, he's even my guard now," said Daisy with a faint smile, staring at Richard who was focused on wiping the table. ."Alexander asked him to stop working as security because Alexander wanted him to always take care of me and help me with everything. It can be said that he is my assistant now."

"Oh my God...!"

"Isn't that crazy?" Daisy chuckled a little. "I was in a relationship with Alexander then I lived with Richard who also liked me...now I don't know how to behave with him... sometimes I feel guilty because what I did with Alexander will hurt him. but I don't love him either... I don't know about this feeling."

"Hmmm ... .maybe he was hurt but he will give up because he has already lost," said Clarissa.

"Yeah...he accepted this fact and of course, he didn't want to take advantage of the situation. he was always with me and could have kidnapped or raped me but he didn't do that...He's acting holy!"

"Hmm... Maybe he's like that because he doesn't want a conflict with Mr. Alexander, just as Pierce doesn't want a conflict with Alexander either."

"Yeah ... it's because they are too obedient to Alexander. It's sad," said Daisy casually. "How about we meet? In a week I have 4 days free because Alexander will only be here for three days."

"Hmm... it's really fun but I don't want anyone to know that I live here."

"Hmm..." Daisy was silent thinking about how she can have quality time with Clarissa without worrying that Nicole's people might be spying on her because she is Clarissa's best friend, and maybe Nicole will assume that Clarissa is still in touch with her.
