WHERE IS MY DINNER?

Jaxon Silver, the head of the Silver family, awakened inside a dungeon.

Out of 20 people, he was the only one to survive and come out without a single scratch from the dungeon. His superhuman power was Hyper Re-gain, and he could heal any wounds within a few seconds.

He can use his power on another person like a healer, but if he does that, he won't be able to use his superpower for a week. And, within this period, he can be killed. His immortality-like powers won't help him. This is why he refrained from using his powers on Ace.

But in the end, Jaxon couldn't wait and watch his grandson suffer. The Silver family rose to the top of the world, mostly due to his grandson's help, who helped to weed out spies and assassination attempts within the family. And after all that, he couldn't protect him. So, Jaxon decided to take the risk of using his healing power on Ace.

"Felicity... Eeeehhh???" Jaxon entered the room after leaving the matter to Trisa. His jaws nearly dropped seeing Ace standing on his bed.

"What happened?"

"Is everything alright?"

Ace inquired in confusion, seeing everyone's shocked expressions.

"Hurry up!!! Check his condition," Jaxon rushed toward Ace.

Felicity examined Ace's body and was shocked, "This is... There are no injuries. How?" Ace's ruptured eardrums and damaged brain cells were all healed up.

Jaxon hugged his grandson tightly, "Ohohoho... I am so glad you are fine. You worried us to death... But did you see who attacked you?" He inquired after leaving him and looked into his eyes.

Ace began to recall the incident. While his father was busy killing the assassins outside, the guards rushed in. They created an energy barrier around him.

Two attackers were shooting nonstop on the barrier, and amidst that, he heard a shrill sound. It was as if someone was striking something made of metal on a bunch of iron chains. Since his hearing was enhanced, he decided to focus on that unknown sound and find out more.

"If my senses were correct, I am sure someone was trying to break something using something made of metal..."

"I tried to find more, but before I could do that... everything turned black. I felt as if my brain was about to split apart..."

Ace explained everything while holding his head. He could still feel the lingering pain from the damage he had taken.

Hearing the mention of iron chains, Jaxon stood up. There was a tint of fear in his eyes. "You take rest. I will send someone with your dinner," He left in a hurry.

"I shall take my leave then... Call me if you need anything," Felicity also left the room in a hurry. Her face was filled with a worried expression.

"What was that all about?" Ace muttered in confusion.

[Outside the room]

Jaxon was waiting outside. He had already ordered one of his trusted guards to bring food for Ace. As Felicity left the room, they made their way toward the prison cell, located just a few meters outside the mansion.

"That attack was a decoy. Damn it!!!" Jaxon grumbled in anger. His eyes were glowing with a red hue. He thought someone tried to kill Ace, considering his value to the Silver family. But, in reality, it was a decoy. The intruders had a different goal in their minds from the beginning.

"But to throw away so many high-level superhumans..."

"Didn't we kill every one of those lunatic bastards?"

Felicity asked with a worried expression.

"Yes, I made sure of that. We will know more once we get to the prison. It will take a 10th-Level Aura Master around 10 hours to break those chains," Jaxon said as he took off his tie and opened his glass. The red energy around his body was shimmering all over his body like molten lava. It looked like he was ready to fight.

"If so, then..." Felicity cracked her neck. Light golden energy was glowing around her body, just like Jin's when he fought the Ice Litch. It looked like she was a 9th-Level superhuman, "They must still be there, trying to break the seal..."

"They swayed our attention toward Ace. But never in their wildest dream had they thought that Ace might have hidden healing powers..."

"This time, let's kill that bastard, Rax, the Soul Extractor... They will never see us coming. Ace's power once again saved us from a disaster..."

Jaxon said with a satisfied smile and vanished in the thin air along with Felicity.

"Fools, this is what I call a perfect decoy. With Jin after that red freak and you two after Rax and his minions... I will finally have my revenge on Trisa. Wahaha. Finally, she will die for killing my brothers..."

"But, before that... I have to rip her son's head... Kukukuk... I want to see the look of despair on her face..."

A shadow began to move toward Ace's room. He had been waiting since morning for a perfect chance to strike. But, he had to improvise his plan since he found out that Trisa was out on business. He called the remaining cult lunatics and gave them false information about how to break the sealing chains. It was a piece of cake to deceive the lunatics since they were trying hard to save their leader.

With everyone busy, he found his perfect opportunity. But for a human to stand in a single place, hidden from everyone's eyes, the assassin was hungry, and his legs were strained. As a 10th-level superhuman, he was confident in his stealth ability to take down Ace without alerting the guards.

[Ace's room]

Ace was still thinking about his conversation with God of the Underworld. He was thrown out of the darkness before he could hear more about the new Skill he had obtained from him.

[In the hallways]

A guard was carrying Ace's dinner. The aroma of the food filled the air. It was an extravagant dinner, specially made for Ace.

"Sniff... Sniff..." The food's mouthwatering aroma went to the assassin's nose, "What's this...? Slurrrp. Food... He is going toward Ace's room. Humm..."

He blinked behind the guard and knocked him out.

"Let's see what's in the menu..."

"Oh, my... Roasted chicken, Salmon, shredder salad with meat... Chicken stewed rice with veggies..."

"Chocolate cake, flavored shaved ice... Snifff... Vanilla ice cream with roasted nuts.."

"Damn this rich kid..."

The assassin took the cart of food and dragged it into the empty room beside them. Then he dragged the guard's body inside.

"He is about to die anyway... It's better that I finish it in his place..."

The assassin was stuffing the food in a hurry.

Suddenly, he felt a little shiver down his spine and looked back. But there was no one in the area. He used his Skill to scan the surroundings, but there was no one within the vicinity other than a few patrols. He went back to eating.

"Hummff..."

"Akkkkggg!!! Po...ison... Cook... Guukkk!!!"

The assassin fell to the ground, coughing out blood. He felt as if his organs were about to melt.

[Kitchen]

Vincent Silver, one of the members of the branch family, was laughing in the kitchen like a maniac. His superpower was shapeshifting. He killed the real cook during the morning incident and took his place. His plan was to kill the golden goose of the Silver family to take revenge on Trisa for killing his son, who used to smuggle human test subjects to the mad scientists.

"Shhh!!!" What's this shiver...?"

"I have to get out of here..."

Vincent muttered after feeling a sudden shiver. His job is done. Soon he will get the fruit of his labor in the morning.

[Bang] The kitchen door flew open.

"Youuuu... Bastard..."

"Arrrgggggg!!! Die!!!"

The bleeding assassin yelled. He dragged himself to the kitchen. The poison was so potent that even a 10th level couldn't stop it. But he used his aura to slow the poison's effect and decided to kill the one who poisoned him.

"Nooo..."

"Kukkkk!!!"

The assassin blinked behind Vincent and stabbed him in the heart with a dagger drenched in his poisonous blood.
