"First one... Jessica Silver, step forward," Jaxon announced.
[Jessica Silver is the third daughter of Alysa and Karl. Her family is in charge of the financial matters of the entire Silver World country. Her mother is an 8th-level Aura master, and her father is a 7th-level superhuman.]
Jessica Silver, around the same height as Ace, her unique feature were her silver eye and silver hair. Her IQ is said to be even better than her parents and older siblings.
"Please don't be useless non-combat power like my big brothers... Maybe a silver grade... Am I asking for too much? Don't think too much, Jess. Just go with the flow," Jessica closed her eyes and prayed a little. Then she took a deep breath and walked toward the white crystal ball. She touched it and closed her eyes.
"Interesting... The golden feather is shining brightly. Let's see what she awakens," Ace muttered with a smile.
[Zooom] A pillar of silver light emerged from the crystal ball and reached the sky. It was too blinding and nearly impossible to keep eyes open due to the extraordinary shine under the morning sun.
"Hahahaha... You did it..."
"Finally, a Master Grade awakener after almost eight years..."
Jaxon yelled with a burst of laughter, seeing the silver light.
"I told you, didn't I...? Leave the matter of luck to me," Ace said while shielding his eyes. He was satisfied to see his Skill at work, "But, she used up all the luck I gave her... Next, it's all up to her. Don't give up, white head..." He said with a worried expression, seeing the angel wing sign disappear.
"Arrrggg!!!!" Jessica fell to the ground, grabbing her arms. She felt as if a massive truck was running over her arms over and over again. "It hurts... so much. Arrrggg!!!" The skin on her arms cracked open, and silver energy was gushing out.
After a few minutes of agony-filled screams, she finally stopped. She was breathing hard in exhaustion. The silver light pillar disappeared, and the result appeared on the crystal ball.
**Master Grade
**Vortex Fists
**Aura affinity: 60%
Jessica looked up and saw her stats, "Hahahaha... Huff... Pheww... I did it," She yelled with a satisfied smile. The pain she felt got swept away in happiness. Her parents came running and helped her up.
The other members were dumbfounded after witnessing the first awakening. They were sweating in fear as they could feel the pressure from his family members on their shoulders.
Ace ran up to Jessica.
"Did you pray for the silver grade? Why didn't you aim for even higher? Your luck was shining brighter than anyone here... You should have aimed for even higher. Well, 60% Aura affinity is not bad... Haaa. It's okay to be greedy sometimes..."
Ace said and lightly flicked her forehead with a smile. Her face reminded him of his little sister from his past life.
"You are... Ace!!!! I... I... It's nice to meet you," Jessica stuttered in surprise.
"Hey brat, don't disturb her... Let her rest," Jaxon blinked behind Ace and dragged him away by his collar. He stopped and looked back, "You did well..." He said as he looked into Jessica's eyes and then her parents.
"Had I prayed for Dark Red, would I have awakened that?" Jessica said with her weak voice and a confused look.
"There is someone up there...," Ace pointed at the sky, "And your prayers have already been answered. So, no point thinking... what ifs???" He said with a smile.
Jessica left with her parents to the inner castle.
"If she had aimed for higher than Red... What would have happened?" Jaxon asked Ace through telepathy. He wanted to know more about Ace's power.
Ace looked surprised but quickly gathered his composure, "Humm. I don't know. Maybe... Her luck and fortune shined brightest among all those kids for a brief moment... Please, don't ask about my powers. I don't want my life to turn upside down," He replied.
Jaxon shooked his head and announced the second name, "Oliver Silver, come forward..."
[Oliver Silver, son of Cecil Silver and the firstborn in the northern branch family. The entirety of the northern part of the country is under their watch. His father died due to internal injuries he suffered from the war with the Lian family. He is 18 years old and the oldest among all the kids since he couldn't join the awakening ceremony 3 years ago due to his weak constitution.]
Oliver's complexion was a little pale, and he was walking with the help of a walking stick. Eight years ago, his left leg broke during an accident in the mountains when the car he was riding fell down the ravines. But, he miraculously survived. However, some things can not be fixed by any healers. It remains with the injured for life.
Oliver's parents tried to heal his legs, but it didn't work because when he tried to get out of the broken car, he scratched his leg on a poisonous plant. His parents wanted to use the new technology to give him an artificial leg, but he refused and decided to wait for his awakening.
Oliver slowly walked toward the crystal ball, "Pheww. I just want to run... If there is a God... Please... I just want to run...," He prayed with his heart.
Earlier, he heard Ace's brief conversation with Jessica and smiled, thinking Ace's words. **'It's okay to be greedy sometimes...'**
"What a weird guy... Giving me all hope and that... I hope you are right, Ace..." Oliver thought and smiled a little. All this time, he only wished to run like everyone. He watched everyone playing outside, jumping and running like the wind, giggling and enjoying life. He always envied them.
Oliver touched the crystal ball.
[Woooosh] This time, a pillar of bright magenta light emerged from the crystal ball. It was so bright that even the sky above the mansion turned magenta.
"This time, it's Ultra grade... What kind of power have you gained, Ace?" Jaxon thought while watching the colorful pillar. In his heart, he was worried and was thinking, "If any outsider enemies gain a wisp about the existence of such power, a war might break out over Ace. I have to start taking countermeasures..."
"Arrrggg!!!!"
Oliver fell to the ground, holding his broken leg.
His painful screams echoed throughout the mansion, and his body was glowing with a pinkish hue. After a few minutes, he finally stopped screaming, and the magenta light pillar disappeared.
His awakening result was displayed on the crystal ball.
**Ultra Grade
**Ninja
**Aura affinity: 40%
Oliver was baffled to see his result. He could feel the change in his body. The sense he lost all those years ago, he could feel again. With his wobbly legs, he stood up without his walking stick. His mother came running, but Jaxon blinked beside her and stopped her.
"Wha...?" Cecil was confused.
"Let him stand up on his own feet... Look at his smile... He waited for this day for years... Let him enjoy a bit," Jaxon said with a happy smile. Today, everything was going his way. He thought that the heavens had blessed the Silver family with all the fortune.
Cecil stopped.
"Thank God... Ohh... Oliver," Tears of happiness were dripping from her eyes. Her son was standing and jumping in front of her eyes. The envious and dark look on her son's face disappeared. The smile her son lost after the accident once again came back.
"Mom... Look at me..."
"I can jump... Hahahaha... I can finally jump..."
"Ace was right... It was okay to be a little greedy..."
Oliver was running and jumping around the garden.
"Look at that brat... Hehe," Ace muttered.
[God's Realm]
"Why did you come here for, God of the Underworld?" God's voice echoed through the dark hall. There were a couple of candles glowing with a golden yellow hue.
"I see that your plan to use him has worked..."
"The hallways of the heavens once again began to light up..."
"Tell me something... Why did you do that to him from the beginning?"
"Even I... The Death God, never treat my people like that... Why didn't you bless him from the beginning?"
God of the Underworld's asked God from within the darkness.
"It's not like I didn't..."
"I couldn't... I tried, and look at me now... I... We lost everything because of my little mistake. I realized it too late..."
"He is the firstborn..."
God's voice once again echoed throughout the empty and dark halls.
