A NEW ENEMY AND A LITTLE FAMILY TIME

[Two days passed]

"Arrg!!! So much work... Damn it!!! That freaking Ivan..."

Jaxon was busy dealing with the country's affairs and handling the matter with The Arcon's Helm, Ivan's land. The world witnessed Ivan's deception when he attacked Jaxon along with his people and tried to kill countless innocent people.

Since he lost after waging everything, many questions emerged, when will the Silver World take over Arcon's Helm? And, will the Arcon Helm resist or surrender? How will the other countries react to the Silver World's sudden rise in power?

On the other side, Clare was busy dealing with reporters, who came from all over the world to interview the world's first Limitless Grade awakener. Then there were those diplomats from other countries, creating a ruckus near the border town. It was a mess, but thanks to the neutral party, Superhuman Association, Clare managed to keep the peace for now.

Irina and her people returned back to their base to find more information about the first generation superhumans who the voice from her vision called Players. She had a plan of her own to create a contingency plan, just in case, Ace turned to the dark side.

[Location: Hidden] [Irina's room]

"Damn it!!! Not a single clue. It looks like someone erased every trace..."

"Why did you all hide when more or less everyone got superpowers? What made you all disappear? Did you know the reason behind this cosmic shift on earth?"

"No matter how hard you Players hide... No matter whichever dark hole you hide... You can not escape my eyes. I will find you all... Eventually. No one is perfect. There must be a trace somewhere. And when I find that..."

Irina yelled in her room after slamming on the keyboard in anger. The plastic keyboard shattered, and keycaps flew everywhere on the table.

The records and newspaper she was checking for abnormal events seemed too clean, and the data she was searching online seemed to be deleted the day the first superhumans awakened. It seems someone tried to hide the existence of the Players.

"Hey!!! Bring me a sturdy keyboard," She yelled after taking off her glasses. She was exhausted and rubbing her eyes due to the itching sensation after the long screentime, "My power is more than just scanning. Why can't I feel it?" She mumbled to herself, thinking about the voice she heard in her vision.

[Location: Arcon Helm] [Prime Minister's Office]

A massive 10-story building stretched over acres of land, made with high-grade monster crystals, which is hard enough to endure about a hundred 10th-level superhumans. It is located far west, surrounded by mountains and dangerous ridges. The officials use a teleport array to get in or out from there.

Inside the building, Ivan stored all his prized artifacts and treasures. But no one knows the exact location, as Ivan had personally hidden it. The highest graded Crystals were used to make the ceiling. And it illuminates every single corner of the building at night.

The monsters' skins were used as wallpaper. Monsters' skulls and heads were hunged like trophies over the fireplace and on the top of every door. Ivan hunted them inside dungeons. A group of artifact restorer superhumans takes care of them. Hidden weapons and arrays are all over the building to prevent outsider attacks. In short, it can be called a treasure fortress.

After the news about Ivan got out, everyone in the country breathed in relief, thinking the tyrant's rule was finally over. But, they never imagined that Ivan's son, Patrik, would take over the leader's position by force, killing every high commanding officer under his father's command and replacing them with his own people.

All this time, he was binding his time and gathering powerful individuals under his wings. He was waiting for his father to show an opening and his dreams finally became a reality when Ivan messed up in the Silver mansion.

Patrik ordered his people to clear out the bodies and sat on the chair of the Prime Minister. He took out a cigar. One of his men came forward and lighted it for him. He took a puff and slumped back.

"With my father gone, his pact with the Silver family becomes void. If the Silver family thinks we will hand our country over because of some baseless wager..."

"I will show them how wrong they are... Prepare for battle... It's about time to show the Silvers' our real power. Close off the border and initiate the defense array..."

Patrik Lian announced his decision to disregard the rules of the family battle and ordered his army to prepare for a battle. He was pretty confident in his ability to win the war.

"Roger!!!"

The officers left the room, leaving Patrik alone with a lady in full body armor. There was a staff on her back, and she was standing in front of the door. At a glance, she looked like a regular superhuman in basic armor.

"The sun must go down if we are to rise. Two suns can not exist in this world," The lady in armor blinked beside Patrik, "They might win it as long as the sun of the Silver World is up... It's time for the sun to disappear... Wahahahaha..." She began to laugh hysterically. A blood-chilling wave of bloodlust exploded inside the room.

"Yes, my lady. Just like you envisioned... My father got himself killed, and you made me the ruler. Leave the matter of killing that bug to me. I will bring you Siver World's sun's head within a week..."

Patrik said as he got up from the Prime Minister's chair and kneeled before the armored lady. There was a glint of fear in his eyes as he spoke.

"And...? Why are you still here? Are you going to bring me his head just by kneeling here?" [Baaam] The armored lady yelled and threw a ball of black Aura at Patrik, throwing him out of the room, "1 week... Slit your throat if you fail..." The crystal door broke as Patrik crashed into the wall.

Patrik stood up and left after taking a little bow. His back was bleeding as a few crystal shards pierced his skin when the door shattered.

[Wooosh] "What the...?" He rubbed his arms, feeling a sudden chilly sensation all over his body, "Shit!!! Why the heck did I awaken that monster...? Must kill Ace... Or my head will roll..." He thought.

[Woooosh] "Humfff!!!!" She jumped up, raising Aura to the maximum. She felt a cold wisp down her spine, "Is it my imagination? Phewww!!! I need some rest..." She muttered.

The thing they didn't know was Ace's Skill, Wisp of Underworld. It has no fixed range or expiry limit. When he activated his Skill while confronting his family to check their hostility level, the Wisps got scattered in the world as they didn't sense any hostility from them.

After wandering the world for almost 2 days, the wisps finally found the closest target, Patrik and the armored lady. Three Skull signs appeared on the armored lady's head and two on Patrik's head. Soon, their luck is about to change for good.

[Location: Silver World] [Silver family's second mansion]

The main reason Ace and his family faced conflicts between them was due to a lack of communication as a family. So, they decided to speak and get everything out of their heart. The feelings and emotions they sealed away in their hearts due to the power struggles and the urge to get stronger, they decided to pour all out.

After a mild conversation, they finally began.

"The power struggles within the family grew after I broke through the 10th level..." Jin began to explain.

Ace's parents explained everything to him from the beginning about the internal conflicts and the sheer amount of willpower that requires to run a country and at the same time look at the well beings of their people. Despite that, they tried their best to be there for him even though it didn't seem much in Ace's eyes.

"We are sorry... I am sorry. We couldn't be the good parents that we wanted to be... But we never thought of you as a tool for use... Forgive us for using your disability to improve the country and the family..."

Trisa said with teary eyes. She was feeling guilty as she had never thought or taken Ace's situation or emotions into consideration when using his heightened senses.

"It all started after you stopped Ivan's self-destruction attack, and then you attacked everyone in your sight..."

"Someone took over your body and evoked Irina's power, allowing her to see the future visions..."

Then, they explained the reason behind their attack after the awakening and how an unknown power took over his body and nearly killed Irina's team. They also told him about his uncertain death before reaching his 20s.

"Haaaa..."

"I knew it... Can't escape my past shadows... The dreams will start soon. I will know how I die..."

"I wanted to keep it to myself. But, I will tell you everything... About the real me..."

Ace said as he got down from the bed. He walked over to the window and looked at the sky. He was finally ready to spill out the secrets that had been weighing on his mind for quite a long time.
