The ancient immortal offered Mark a chance to resurrect his wife in exchange for Ace's life. So, he took on the job of assassinating Ace. But, he got a plan of his own.

Thus begins the story of Ace and Mark, in the world of superhumans.

Far away, an unstable portal opened on an isolated island. A human emerged from that portal, bleeding and covered in violet flames.

Mark explained everything to Lelia about his situation without skipping everything, except for the info about his new System. He felt a weird emotion in his heart while talking to Lelia, a little nostalgia maybe. It had been years since he spoke so much with someone, and surprisingly he met that person for less than a few hours.


Lelia heard everything without interrupting Mark. She just kept looking toward Mark's eyes and expression with a serious expression.


"And before I know anything, I was standing in front of his soul... His last wish was to take care of you," Mark finished his story and waited for Lelia's reaction.


Both of them remained silent for a few minutes as Lelia kept looking toward Mark's eyes, making him a bit uncomfortable.
