Returned to Kadea Village. Not The Wandering Crescent!

As the clouds formed, it began to rain heavily accompanied by lightning. The drumming sound of the rain could be heard against the roof and water dripped through the creeks of the abandoned castle.

Kotori was trenched from the water. She stood still with her knees on the floors and her eyes met contact with InuYasha's as she saw him in the doorway. A moment of staring at each other felt like centuries and neither one of them could speak.

Soon after, the others looked at her worried and rushed to her aid.

"Ko, what did Naraku do to you?" Miroku asked.

" What happened? Are you okay? --- We should find shelter; your clothes are soaked." Sango questioned.

" InuYasha, don't just stand there and do nothing. Help Ko!" Kagome shouted.

" Oh, right." InuYasha's ears twitched, and his expression looked somewhat different, those golden-brown eyes soften, filled with sadness and betrayal.

" Stop, InuYasha! "Kotori yelled, trembling. Don't take another step closer towards me!"

Everyone was concerned about her sudden outburst and the tears dripping from Kotor's cheek.

...........................…..

Ever since that encounter with Naraku, her relationship with the others has not been the same. She remained silent for the last few days and went to sleep early.

"Perhaps, this would be a good time to rejuvenate and there have not been any trances of Naraku," Miroku suggested and poked the fire with a stick.

"InuYasha, you were there before anyone of us." Kagome remembered and asked" What did Naraku do to her? Did you see or hear anything?"

"Nothing," InuYasha answered, and watched the others fall asleep slowly. He stared at the sky and visual both of his parents here today and was conflicted upon finding the truth about his father's death. He masked his emotions for a long period of time because he didn't know how to feel about his old man.

" Hey, are you awake?" He asked.

Kotori remained quiet and stared at the tree in front of her as she lay on her side. She was afraid to believe Naraku, the demon that pins loved ones against each other.

" Could he be lying to me? I am so confused. Are those memories fabricated? Is this all a part of his plan? That is nothing like the memories I have with my parents. Am I being deceived by him too?" She thought and could not handle the burden that had been placed on her shoulders. Her body pulsed twice and then stopped. This Naraku person is the same priest from a few months ago. He wants me to take InuYasha's sword, steal the jewel shards and give them to him then what?

After a few days, the group made it to Kaede's village.

" I will be back in two weeks, I need to study for my exams and catch up on late assignments and I want you to hold these Ko." Kagome handed Kotori the glass jar of the fragments of the sacred jewel then picked up a yellow bag and jumped down the well.

Why does she have so much faith in me? I'm just an outsider

"What are those words that she speaks of? Is that too, a foreign language." Kotori questioned

"Something that she does in her world, like the process of training to become a demon slayer," Sango explained.

Kotori's body pulsed six times and became more intense as her heartbeat accelerated. She clenched her necklace and saw the sunset then that was when she realized"It's the night of the wandering crescent."

"I HAVE TO LEAVE RIGHT NOW BEFORE THE MOON COMES UP!" She dashed into the woods and did not look back as she heard people calling her name. The color of her hair changed to scarlet and stream down to her ankles. While her brown eyes turned golden. Her nails grew longer, and the demon blood boiled, pumping through her veins yearning for the taste of human flesh. It scared her; more than anything, she was afraid of herself and the things she will do.

There was a tight grip on her hand that prevented her to run.

" Where do you think you going, Kotori?"
