Chapter 27

Lia had predicted that this tour would end at Louver.

Claude glared straight ahead.

"Louver… surely not the Louver I'm thinking of?" Lia said as she hunched over in exaggeration.

He lowered his eyes at her fearful voice. "What do you know about those slums?"

"I was told countless times to stay far away, to never step foot inside," she answered, trying to brush it off. However, Claude maintained his stoic facade.

Lia grew anxious; she didn't know what he wanted to confirm, but his method did not sit right with her.

"Did you know you can see Louver across the Lyon from your room?"

"I-is that so? That must be the dark part of the city I saw."

He nodded in lieu of an answer.

Lia continued to tremble as if she were afraid. She muttered that she didn't know and looked out the window at the changing landscape.
