(Asgard)
Thor and Loki walked along the corridors of the kingdom. They had just been home from Vanaheim. The fight there was exhausting as usual but because the 5 of them were a strong pact, they were able to do just fine.
"You see brother?" Thor asked. "It would have all been good if you weren't so mischievous in the start."
"I know, I know." Loki gave a small smile. "It just had to happen."
"By the way, Lady Sif and the warriors three invited us to pay mother a visit."
"Has it been a year?"
"Hmm, yes."
"I'd rather stay in a quiet place for today." Loki smiled.
"Alright," Thor said. "I'll tell them you won't come."
They continued to walk until they got to the throne room and they both saw Odin sitting there.
"How was your trip, my sons?" Odin asked.
"It was great, father." Thor answered after he genuflected in front of Odin's throne as a sign of respect.
"Thor defeated most of the rivals," Loki joined in the conversation. "And I offered him my help."
"That's good." The Allfather replied. "My sons, getting back the brotherhood they most deserve."
"You should have seen Loki in action, father," Thor said. "He was as great as mother."
"I always knew that he had it in him," Odin complimented. "He just hasn't seen it himself yet."
"Thank you, father."
"Thor!" Volstagg called from the main door.
He waved at the brothers before he realized that Odin was on the throne. That's also when he smiled awkwardly and respectfully knelt down from afar.
"My king!"
"You may arise," Odin said. Not only for the warrior but also for his two sons. "Your friend is waiting for you."
"Thank you, father." Thor nodded his head before clapping his brother's shoulder.
"I'll see you later," Loki whispered to him.
Thor smiled before he walked towards his friends waiting outside of the throne room. Loki on the other hand had the chance to look at his father.
Without any word exchange and only eye contact, Loki sighed heavily before he turned around and called onto Thor.
"Wait up, brother," he called.
After Thor stopped to turn around and look at him, Loki jogged towards his brother's location.
"I thought you wanted some alone time?"
"I'd rather spend it with you," Loki answered. Then he placed his arms around Thor's shoulder. "So, where are we going?"
Thor smiled at him. "Wherever these people bring us."
The two of them approached the four warriors before Fandral and Hogun led them out of the kingdom. Usually their group stays at the banquet room and eats after a big fight.
However, the warriors three decided to change some routine today. And the two princes have nothing against that, while Lady Sif just rides with them on their trip.
On their way to a nearby tavern, Thor decided to open up a topic with Sif. Loki being close to them of course hears the conversation.
"Lady Sif," Thor called, catching the attention of the lady. "Has anyone caught your attention yet?"
"Are you trying to make the atmosphere awkward, my prince?" She asked. "Or you're starting a terrible conversation with a woman?"
"I'm just asking." Thor chuckled. Before he gently tapped her shoulder.
"Nobody worthy enough has crossed my path."
"Are you sure? Or maybe you just haven't noticed."
Sif chuckled lightly. She crossed her arms as she continued to walk beside Thor. She wasn't able to answer his questions as well, so instead, she looked around at the people.
"There's only one man whom I look up to and admire," Sif said. "And I don't think somebody else would be as good as him."
"Only that man is just too blind to see," Loki finally joined.
Sif looked at him because she knows that Loki knows who she was talking about. Honestly, everyone does. Even the Allfather and Queen Frigga know that Sif has loved Thor ever since they were children.
Odin sometimes reminds him that it would be better for Thor if he were to be a king one day to marry someone from Asgard. Although he didn't tell him directly, he was pertaining to Sif.
However, even how many times they try to make it obvious for Thor. Thor is still in love with Jane and he is very much willing to fight for that love even against the Allfather.
"It's okay. I can handle myself without love." Sif smiled. Then she decided to break the awkwardness she feels by changing the topic. "How about you and Jane?"
"Good thing that you asked," Thor cheerfully answered. "I sometimes see her, every once in a while when I visit Midgard."
"Once in a while, you say?" Loki asked. Then he shook his head. "I don't think every other day is once in a while."
Thor laughed and placed his hand around Loki's shoulder. "Brother, you just wouldn't understand."
"I don't remember hearing Loki talking about love," Fandral joined in.
"Yeah, me too," Hogun said. "I personally think Loki is the most attractive one among all of us."
"Loki's other half is yet to come, my friends," Thor told them. "Let us not hurry my brother. He's still enjoying all his mischief."
They 4 men laughed. Not in an insulting way but more of a sign of enjoyment about the on-going conversation.
"Speaking of Loki's other half," Sif said. "Hasn't Loki been in love before?"
It put the four of them in silence while they all turned to Loki for answers. While the questioned one on the other hand only looked at them in silence too.
He raised his eyebrows at them in a questioning face while he kept his face innocent looking. He also remembered that he hasn't told Thor about what he has been through before he came here.
"You have seen the future already right, brother?" Thor asked. "Haven't you met anyone yet?"
Upon hearing that question, Loki involuntarily smiled when a blurred memory came his mind. Although he has no idea what it was, a certain kind of feeling actually dawned on him. His 5 friends caught that reaction fast which somehow got them curious.
"I think he has," Hogun said after he pointed at Loki's smile.
"What?" Loki shook his head. "No, I didn't say anything."
"You smiled, my friend," Volstagg answered. "It was no ordinary smile."
"You're very unfair, Loki." Thor sulked a little. "I told you everything about Jane. But you kept this a secret from me?"
"I did not keep anything," Loki countered before he shot death glares towards Sif's location. After all, she's the one who tried to open that topic.
"Alright, then tell us." Fandral looked at the others to get their agreeing motions. "Who is she?"
"Yeah, is she beautiful?" The question came from Volstagg.
It got the younger prince rolling his eyes at them before he gently pushed Hogun and Volstagg away from each other before walking past them.
He then turned around to look at them while walking back to keep himself ahead.
"First of all, there is no one to tell you." He pointed at Thor. "Second, there's nothing to say about no one."
In a sudden, Loki turned his back at them only to accidentally hit a woman in front of him. She fell back due to the force of Loki hitting her.
Hopefully, he was fast enough to hold her by the waist and arm, preventing the fall. As if the world turned into a slow-mo, Loki and the commoner were able to stare at each other's eyes.
Loki's 4 friends were stunned on their places as they watch what will happen to Loki and the woman. But all of them were thinking about the same thing about the scene unfolding in front of them.
"Pardon me, my prince," the girl apologized as soon as she realized who the man holding her was. "I wasn't looking where I was going."
Meanwhile, Loki stayed still, staring at her for another minute. Not because she caught his interest, but because he remembers somebody else in her. The image in his mind continues to form in a blur as long as he stares at her.
But when Thor held him by the shoulders, he was able to come back to reality.
"Are you okay, brother?" Thor asked before helping him make the girl stand.
"Yes," Loki answered. Remembering the presence of the commoner, Loki turned to her. "Forgive me."
"No troubles, my princes," she replied.
"What is your name?" Thor asked.
"Sigyn," she introduced.
The god of Thunder nodded his head before smiling. "I apologize for the trouble."
"Apology accepted, your majesty." She smiled.
"Have a nice day and take care," Thor bid their goodbye.
Fandral then placed his arm around Loki's shoulder before he started teasing him again. "I saw your eyes."
"Can we just go to the tavern now?" Loki asked.
They all laughed at him once again. Afterward, they resumed walking to their destination. They decided to celebrate a little bit before visiting Frigga today.
