The Truth

"Lian Jing…" Shen Yin burrowed into his arms, gasping for air. A tear glimmered in the corner of her eye, and her small hand curled against his chest. She looked so pitiful, as if she had just been bullied.

Most of Lian Jing's temper had dissipated but he remained cold and expressionless.

The bodyguards that he had sent out soon gathered back and shook their heads at Lian Jing through the car window. Then, they bowed their heads and prepared to be reprimanded.

However, Lian Jing only frowned and waved them away. He then turned to look at the woman in his arms. "Why didn't you tell me about Shen Nian?"

Shen Yin looked up in a daze and met his reproachful gaze. The sadness and grief in her heart grew, and her eyes turned red. "Nian Nian is missing. What should I do? I can't find him…"
