Search in Forest
Screams. Screams of the Earth Golem can be heard from everywhere. The villagers were looking to where the sounds were coming. Deep within the forest there was a boy fighting with 3 Earth Golems. 3 golems left to fight. There can be seen 10 more golems, corpses. The ones who left was trying to capture the boy but it was no use. The boy was evading their atacks so easily. One of the golems had a chance to attack him behind. But as soon as he started moving flames appeared around the boy and he dissapeared. Golem slowed down but then it felt an immense pain. The boy jabbed his arm from its back and then the boy removed his arm, while holding the golems heart. The other two golems stepped back. And then the boy asked with a bored face:
"Would you two be kind enough to tell me WHERE THE HELL IS SHIZEN?"
Golems didn't replied.
"Hmmm. Very well."
The boy holds his sword. Gets his right hand closer to his chest and swings it. By doing that, he unleashes a very thin water wave that cuts the golems in half within a moment. Then he proceeds to going through forest. A few minutes later Kowata appears.
Kowata: I suppose it didn't go well for you too.
Yakura: Yeah. It feels like we're just making circles. I hope you have another bright ideas.
Kowata: Well, if we keep killing Shizen's pets, there might be a chance that she gets really angry and coming for us.
Yakura: Thats... It?
Kowata: It might sound hopeless but I know her well. She doesn't like when her creatures killed. But more importantly if we kill them more and more she might not be able to follow whats happening around her. And that would make her so frustrated...
Yakura: And she will come to us.
Kowata: Correct.
Yakura: Ok. I think I should go back to buisness.
Kowata: But to do so we should be more strategic. Killing some groups of her creatures will not get us anywhere. Also it would cause us to be located and even captured.
Yakura: And your point is..?
Kowata: Allies, Yakura. I've been telling you this for a long time. Just think about it. If its just the two of us attacking to them it wouldn't have any point. But if we make forces and attack at the same time to different pla...
Yakura: Oh come on! Not this again! I know you have been telling this for a long time but also I'm keep telling you people don't really like me you know. Besides I don't need their help. I survived for a long time by myself. I can manage without them.
Kowata: But thats not all I have to say. While searching for the golems, I saw a village. Thinking they might saw the golems, I read their minds. And I learned they don't seem to like The Absolutes.
Yakura: OOHHHH! How great! I'm sure they all love me and do anything to kill The Absolutes. Even it is to face some powerfull and merciless monsters!
Kowata: I'm gonna ignore your sarcasm and keep telling. They don't like you either but they don't see you as the most of the people see. Its like "enemy of my enemy is my friend", just you are not thier friend. But thats not all. I learned they were attacked three days ago by some of my brothers minions but saved by a few young fighters. I think we should try to forge an alliance with them.
Yakura: YOU can go search for them. I'm not planning to form a party club.
Kowata: Very well. Villagers saw where they went. I'll follow that path and investigate the nearby llocations. You might keep what you are doing but if you change your mind, feel free to contact me.
Yakura:
Kowata: Well then. Take care.
Yakura: See ya.
Kowata turns into a fear cloud and goes after the young fighters. Yakura brings his wings out and flies. While flying he think whst Kowata said: "Allies. Guess he's never gonna give up, eh. Ohh Kowata, even with all those knowledge and power, you are still so naive. There is no way they'd trust me." Suddenly he felt a vibration. He stoped in the air and closed his eyes. He listened to his surroundings. Birds chirping, trees rustling, his wings flapping echoed in his ears. And then he heard heavy foot steps. More golems. He focuses on to the sounds and find their location. Then he flew there. He landed on a tree and hide himself in the branches and leaves. There were 15 golems. Earth Golems again. They were going to where Yakura killed the others.
Yakura closed his eyes. Put his left hand on his hand and pointed his right arm to the golems. And then he started to focus. He was trying to read their minds but it was no use. He felt that he connected their minds but couldn't get any information. It was dark in his eyes. He tried harder and harder. His hands started to shake and his face was getting crumpled. Suddenly he saw a few visions but only for a moment and they were not what he is looking for. He tried again and again. He saw more visions and in an instant very loud sounds started to damage his mind. He hold his head with his both hands and tried to endure the pain. The pain was not stoping because he was still triying to read the golems minds. Then the pain reached an unbearable point. He screamed and fell off the tree. The golems noticed him and they started to get close to him cautiously. But when Yakura stood up, they stepped back. Cause they saw fires in his angry eyes. Literally. With flames in his eyes and rage on his face he started attacking. He jumped to one of the golems and with a punch he shattered its head. Then he jumped to another golem. While he was beating up the golem others tried to hit him hard but it was no use. His body was as hard as a rock, after they hit him their their hands damaged and cracked. Yakura stoped hitting to same golem and turned to the others. He stretched his arms out and then he raised his arms from his elbows. The ground cracked and from those crackes a great number of spiked wines came out. They pierced through the golems bodies. There were only 2 golems remaining. With fear in thier eyes, they started retreating. But they were only delaying the unavoidable savageness. Yakura grabbed his handles, took them off and throwed the saw. The saws past through their chest. The saws changed their course and one of them cut one golem's leg, the other one cut other golem's arm. The saws entered thier handles and Yakura put them on his back. He was slowly getting closer to the golems while they were crawling. He took out his sword and cut one of them in half. Other one tried to get away but Yakura stabbed its leg on the ground. He garbbed its neck and get his face closer to its.
Yakura: Tell me. Where.. Is.. She?
Golem: Nee- Neevvaaah.
Yakura created an ice sword and cut its head. He turned his palm to his sword and it came to his hand in an instant, then he put it in its scabbard.
He flew to the sky and started searching. He searched for hours but the only things he saw was golems, tree warriors and more of Shizen. He didn't even bother himself to go down there. Because it was pointless. He can't read their minds and they don't tell where she is.
Suddenly he heard some noise and stoped in the air. While his wings flapping so lightly he focused on the noise. Some battle was going on. He flew straight to the source of the noise. There were two tree warriors and five wine tigers. And a young boy who was fighting with them. One of the tigers tushed to they boy. He jumped his left and hit it with his leg. Yakura examined him: He lacks speed and that kick was neither a good choice or a powerfull one. Also he is focusing on one enemy too much. I suppose they are underestimating him and attacking him one by one. Otherwise he'd have been killed a long time ago.
While he was thinking they got the boy cornered. He was scared. He was desperately looking for an escape route but there was none. He held his sword tightly with his both hands and waiting to counter their attacks. Suddenly some huge ice shards fell from the sky. They crushed the tigers and a strange person the didn't know appeared. The warriors immediately attacked Yakura. He grabbed one by its torso with his left hand, then he turned his shoulder to the left and his right wing cut the other warrior's head. The remaining warrior was hitting Yakura to escape but its attacks stopped as he split its body in half. Yakura throw away its corpse and turned to the boy. He was looking at Yakura cautiously.
Boy: Wh- Who are you?
Yakura: I am someone who saved your ass a few moments ago, thats all you need to know.
Boy: STOP BABBLING AND ANSWER ME!
Yakura: Pal, I killed the monster you were hardly resisting in an instant. Do you really think it is wise to mock me?
Boy: ...
Yakura: Hmmm, quiet type huh? Anyway, let me ask you the same question: Who are you exactly?
Boy: Why would I tell you who I am?
Yakura: Just so you know, I have telepathic powers. Which means I can learn every deep secret you have.
Boy: Then why aren't you reading my mind then?
Yakura: Well. Its kinda like flying. I have the ability to fly but I don't always fly. Similar to that, I have to power to read minds but I use when its necessary, mostly. I rather to talk and communicate, at least for situations like this.
The boy prepared himself to strike and Yakura looked over his body.
Yakura: I sense your energy is mostly gathered in your arms and legs, fixed energy. Which means you are mostly focused on close combat and that gives you a disadvantage against an opponent with ranged attacks like me.
Boy: Just because you have telepathic powers doesn't mean you win.
Yakura: I have a lot more tricks. Besides if I wanted you dead, you'd be dead by now.
Boy: Then what do you want.
Yakura: It is a rare situation to see someone attacking those creatures. Even people who believe in The Absolutes don't like them. But they have nothing to do about it. So, when I saw you battling, I got interested and decided to help you a little bit.
The boy calmed down and put his sword in its scabbard.
Boy: My name is Kohi. I came here with my big brother and his friends. We had enough of those monster and decide to stand against them. We travel around and save people from those monsters. Three days ago we saved a nearby village. They thanked us a lot. When we were abuot to leave, they warned us about a monster. My brother got the details and said to me to stay at that village. He said it was dangerous for me to go. But I couldn't wait and tried to follow them.
Yakura:
Kohi: Yes.
Yakura: What a coincidence. My friend was looking for your brother and his friends.
Kohi: WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO TO THEM!
Yakura: Relax. He just wants to cooperate with them.
Kohi: Oh, sorry.
Yakura: No problem.
Kohi: Sooo.. Are you gonna tell me who you are this time?
Yakura: Ahh. Forgive my rudeness, I totally forgot your question. Ahem. I have a name known all over the planet and a physical appearance which most of the people don't know. My name is Yakura, I think you must have heard this name before.
Kohi:
Yakura: Naaah don't worry. I'm not gonna kill you or anything.
Kohi: What makes you think I'd belive that?
Yakura: I'm...
Kohi: What do you mean?
Yakura: You want to get rid of those creatures, right? So do I. Which makes you off-target.
Kohi: That's not really convincing.
Yakura: Say what you want but it will have no matter. Cause our paths are separating here. See ya.
Kohi: WAIT!
Yakura: What is it?
Kohi: Eeeerr, you're gonna go after my brother, right?
Yakura: Yes.
Kohi: Ummm. Can I come with you?
Yakura: Do you really think you can trust "ME"? Besides, I mostly prefer to travel alone.
Kohi: P-Please. I'm so sorry for saying all those things but you are my only chance of finding them. I should have listened to him but I didn't and now I'm suffering the consequences. I thought I was ready but I wasn't. Now I'm all alone in this...
Yakura: ALL RIGHT! ALL RIGHT! I'll take you with me. Just shut up.
Kohi: O-Ok.
Yakura grasped Kohi's waist with his arm and flew.
Kohi:
Yakura: Don't tell me, is this your first time flying?
Kohi: WAAAAAHH! I AM THE ODD ONE HEREEEAAH?!
Yakura: Uuuumm. Kid. You are giving me a headache and I need to breath you know.
Kohi: HHH-HHeeeeey! Aren't we going too fast and could you please fly a lot more closer to the ground?
Yakura: What a pain in the ass!
Kohi: Hey isn't that supposed to be an inner thought? And do you know where are we going.
Yakura: Not to worry. I read your mind and learned the monster's location.
Kohi: Heey! How could you read my mind without even asking me? And didn't you said you prefer to talk?
Yakura: I was about to ask you but you were so bussy screaming and crying.
Kohi: I WASN'T CRYING!
Yakura: Oh sorrrrryyyy. I didn't noticed you had the power to create water from your eyes.
Kohi:
Yakura: Aside from joking, I couldn't find any information about the monster. Didn't they tell you what it was?
Kohi: My brother wanted to keep it a secret from me. But while they were talking to the villagers, I listened to them without being noticed. But all I could learn was where the monster is.
While they were flying, Yakura contacted to Kowata.
Yakura: Hey! I know where the guys you're looking for going.
Kowata: My my. Have you finally considered my suggestions.
Yakura: NOT... AT... ALL! I just learned there is a trouble maker. Those guys went after it and I'm going after them. Just read my mind come to its place.
Kowata: Understood.
A few hours later they arrived where the monster lived. It was a big hole among the trees.
Yakura: That must be its cave.
Kohi: Seems like they didn't come yet.
Yakura: No. They are already inside, searching for it.
Kohi: Whaa? How did you know?
Yakura: I can sense their minds.
Kohi: Alright. Could you ummmm, telepathically warn them?
Yakura: Unfortunately no. There is some kind of barrier thats interrupting my power. I can barely sense them.
Kohi: So what do we do?
Yakura: I sense this is a big cave so we should start investigating.
Kohi: Heey! If there is a barrier how can you know this cave is big.
Yakura: It just interrupts telepathic powers. Also its not that powerfull. I'm still trying to recover my powers. In a normal situation this barrier would have no affect on me. So let's go, there is no time to lose.
Kohi: Okay.
And they started to go down to the cave.
