Kowata

Many years ago:

Kowata was floating above humans and observing them. Reading their thoughts, understanding their feelings and learning their fears. Each and all of them had something to fear. Some fear monsters, some fear dark, others fear to be alone. But all of them gathered in the same question, in Kowata's head: "In what way he can help them overcome those fears?". He was thinking and thinking non stop. His thinking got interfered by someones presence.

Kowata: It appears you are unaware that I am busy... brother.

Misaoshii: Busy indeed, but with what? Those humans? Please, brother. Like I said before, even if all the humans gathered together, their minds would never match your... or even mine.

Kowata: They all are little water drops in a reality where I am a river, at least in your perspective. Yet you are forgetting that the river is made of all the little water drops. I am repeating myself over and over to you brother and you are still too stubborn to understand. I value knowledge, regardless of it's source or amount.

Misaoshii: Alright Mr. Knowledge, what are you learning today?

Kowata: Fear. I am observing their fears. Their reactions to it, their ways to deal with it.

Misaoshii: Ahh! So you really are busy right now. Make sure you tell the details to Shimana. I'll try to find somewhere a little... darker.

Kowata: Oh brother you are being so dramatic. I will almost suggest you to go underground, but it would be too absurd.

Misaoshii: Hmmm. I always knew you were smart little brother.

Kowata: You are joking I hope.

Misaoshii: Not at all. Infact, it would be built a place underground. I can also make places for souls. You know Riigoo doesn't really feel comfortable around all those minds, even our Muscle Boy has something to be scared, right? Even though he doesn't admit it.

Kowata: It is more of a compatibility matter. Like water and fire.

Misaoshii: You always gotta be realistic. C'mon it would be nice for you to tease him for once. There is a tiny heart among all those muscles after all.

Kowata: That will be high on my "to do" list. However I can not promise to put it on top.

Misaoshii: Fair enough. If you need me, I'll be digging around. See you, brother.

Kowata: Stay safe.

Misaoshii went far away. Kowata was finally alone with his thoughts. Until some other presence has come.

Kowata: Is it really too hard to leave me alone?

Mahoo: Whatcha doin?

Kowata: I can tell you what I can NOT do. Focusing, relaxing, observing…

Mahoo: Booooriiing! Come on, tell me what you are up to. Tell me, tell me!

Kowata: Before that, may I ask you why you guys come one by one.

Mahoo: Because Misaoshii will ask me to teach how to control souls, gaaah. Sooooo boooring.

Kowata: He is still on that. When will he leave the souls alone. Some suffered enough in the physical world. Let them just find their peace.

Mahoo: Don't change the subject! Whatcha doin? Is it fun, is it exiting?

Kowata: I do not think you would find what I am doing anything amusing. But since you will not leave me alone, I will tell you what I am doing. I am observing the humans minds around here. I am mostly focusing on their fears righ…

Mahoo: OH OH! Fear you say! Can I scare them?! It would help you, you know? I can be a giant monster, oh or, or I can alter their vision to prevent them from seing each other. Or I can make a huuuge explosion.

Kowata: I would rather you do not do that.

Mahoo: …Explosion it is.

Kowata: No.

Mahoo: Yes.

Kowata: Mahoo, please go play somewhere else. I do not want to neither harm you, nor thereaten you. But you really are testing my patience.

Mahoo: Hey, don't treat me like a kid, will ya? I just want to have some fun. This all building the reign thing is making me tired. I need to relax, right?

Kowata: Same goes for me, but it is really hard for me to do when you are around.

Mahoo: Bleee. But promise me we will do something fun later.

Kowata: First I should check my "to do list". Apparently there will be a lot of things on the list.

Mahoo: Promise me promise me!

Kowata: Alright I give up.

Mahoo: Aaaaaand?

Kowata: What is it not the same thing?

Mahoo: AAAAAANNNDDD?!

Kowata: FINE! I promise.

Mahoo: Yaaaaaaaaaaaay! I can't wait for it.

Mahoo went away.

Years later:

Kowata: I can not believe you all!

Misaoshii: Listen to us first, brother.

Kowata: NO! I do not want to hear any more lies.

Shimana: Call it what you want, but it is for their own good. Humans needs our power over them. To ensure there is no betraying in their minds, we must use these resources.

Kowata: Resources? Their own good? Not you too, Shimana. Do not tell me that you are also accepting this maddnes.

Ikari: And what plans did you had for them? Making a paradise here? Don't make me laugh. Humans are never suitable for that.

Kowata: And we will just make them our slaves? How blind I was… No, how stupid I was. I am someone who can read minds, but I end up… Wait… Shimana, did you do anything to my mind.

Shimana: By "anything" if you mean the truth I put in your mind, than yes.

Kowata: So, that is all you have to say. Use me as a tool and than proceed to use all these excuses. Was I truly someone you respect and love. Or my existence was just an opportunity for you?

Misaoshii: That is not true, brother. We all respect you and love you. But you gotta understand that low life forms need to be suppressed, in order for to give them a better life.

Kowata: No… no… no no no! I do not want to hear this anymore.

Shimana: Will you just listen to us? Or would you rather us to force you for that?

Kowata: You already did that.

Present:

Captain: Your existence will not matter in a few minutes. Kill him.

Kowata created an aura around him. That slowed the movements of the soldiers. Without losing any time, he started action and sliced the soldiers in the blink of an eye. Trying to get out of shock, captain held his sword. But he couldn't even pull it in time to defend himself. The aura got bigger and bigger. Kowata merged with the aura and sought every single soldier around. It didn't took him to kill them all, however he pushed his body and too much. He was close to passing out. Shoo and others arrived. They all held him.

Shoo: Man, I forgot how strong you were on close combat. You shook the ground so hard that I thought the buildings would collapse.

Kowata: That was not me.

Shion: What?

Kowata: I did not do anything that would shake the ground.

Shion: Then who was that?

Kowata: Probably Yakura encountered a group, as well.

Akira: Can you sense where he is?

Kowata: He is not far away, go North. I can not accompany you in this condition.

Shoo: But we can't leave you he…

Kowata: Do not worry. I will be fine.

Shion: Than be carefull, we'll return as soon as we can.

Meanwhile:

In his Dark Form, Yakura was fighting with the soldiers. Only a few of them and Hibake was left standing. They all got little injuries. Yakura was in a dangerous condition, but he was not thinking about that.

Hibake: Each time I think you are done, you manage to do something. Such a shame you are motived by selfish desires, you would have been really usefull to this world.

Yakura: I am done explaining myself to you. All I did was for this world. It is The Absolutes that are guided by selfish desires. Those who are also keeping you blind.

Hibake: Well, you can't expect someone who is as old as you to remember everything. Let me remind you the innocent people you have murdered.

Yakura: Don't bother. Cause I reminded every single day.

Hibake: Enough with the talking. He seems he can fight but he will fall off. Just try to not let him catch you. He can't use his mental powers, so we only need to worry about physical contact.

Yakura pounded ground. That cracked ground and rocks have been raised. Yakura threw those to them. However none of them hit. They shot arrows to him. Yakura was unable o deflect them. They all stuck to his body. He raised more rocks, but couldn't hold them. Yakura fell on his knees. His Dark Form started to disappear. Seing that, they attacked without losing a second. Yakura tried to standup, but failed. With his last effort, he hit his fist to groud which caused a flame wave. They avoided it but it still injured them. While they were trying to stand up, Yakura tried to gather more energy in his hand. When he was about to hit again, an arrow hit one of the soldiers. Akira and Shion attacked them and Shoo kept shooting arrows. It gave time Yakura to catch his breath. Also he calmed down a little bit, so it got easier to concentrate. He stood up and shot ice spears to the soldiers. Only Hibake was left alive. Akira and Shion got him cornered.

Hibake: You are with the wrong person. It is HIM who is the danger for this world. You are making a huge mistake.

Shion: Yakura. You said you didn't wanted to kill him, but that doesn't including hitting him hard, right?

Yakura walked to Hibake. Grabbed him by his neck.

Yakura: Listen. I have tolerated your words, your actions and your prejudice for long enough. I am giving you a one last chance. Try to think of what I am doing or at least learn more about your precious Absolutes. If not, than I won't be so generous next time.

Hibake: I don't need your pi…

Yakura: SILENCE! Now go.

Yakura let go of Hibake. He turned back and started to walk. Akira and Shion followed him. Shoo got down from the rock he was on.

Akira: Woow! If I was that guy, I would definetly listen you. You scared the shit out of me.

Yakura: He should think same. For his own good.

Shion: Are you okay? You have so many injuries.

Yakura: Don't worry about me. And… I could have handle them, but thanks for the help.

Shion: You could? You were the one on the ground when we got here.

Akira: Yeah dude. If it wasn't for us, you were most likely dead.

Yakura: Naah. Don't underestimate my stubborn body. Even if it is in bad condition, it is very hard to kill.

Shoo: Anyway, glad you are okay. Oh also, how did you end up in this situation? I thought you flew off. How did they ran into you?

Yakura: Well… uhhh… I might be the one who ran into them. I was flying around, than I sensed them and flew straight to them.

Shoo:…

Akira:….

Shion:…

Yakura: Hey! Even if it is barely, I can sense what you think.

Shoo: Okay. Okay. We should go to the village. Kowata is waiting for us.

Yakura: You left him there?

Shion: We were about to take him, but he said that it will be alright.

Yakura: I wonder what was he thinking. Let's not waste more time. I don't think I can carry any of you while flying, even myself. So we need to walk fast.

Akira: You want us to carry you?

Yakura: I'm fine, I'm fine. But if I fall behind a little, don't stop for me.

Shion:…Well… deal I guess.

They got to the village an started to look for Kowata. After a while, they found him in the same place as last time. He was in the bed and the doctor was sitting on a chair next to him.

Yakura: Okay. He is at least still alive. If you look for me, I'll be AWAY from here.

Doctor: Wait, Mister… Yakura, sir.

Yakura: Ho? Mister? Are you sure you are okay. You forgot a few swearing in that sentence.

Shion poked Yakura's arm.

Yakura: What? I may be rude, but I am not wrong.

Doctor: I… I know we all were judgemental towards you, but please try to understand us. We didn't know everything about you, I mean there was no way for us to learn that. Despite our treatment of him, Mister Kowata saved us from them and told me everything. And I… I was hoping to help you.

Yakura: Join the club, we've got jackets.

Shion: Come on!

Yakura: Ehem, I mean… If you can fight against people who are insanely strong, both mentally and physically, you are welcome to help us. Otherwise I don't recommend you to join us.

Doctor: I know some places, which has strong men and women. They might be big help to you.

Yakura: Are they bounty hunters or something?

Doctor: I don't really know that. There are some I suppose.

Yakura: Hmm. I'll think of that.

Doctor: Now please, rest. You are welcome to stay here as much as you want.

Yakura: My, my. I am flattered doctor. You got a 180 degree turn all of a sudden. I wonder what is the cause of that. Just letting you know, just because I can't read your mind doesn't mean I can't do anything. If you trick us, the consequences will be a little bad for you.

Kowata: Calm down, Yakura. Afterall, I am good with mind tricks, right?

Yakura: Oh, I see.

Akira: What did he do?

Shoo: Probably showed him some visions.

Akira: Ohhh, right.

Yakura: Well, okay than. A little nap wouldn't kill in this case. I'll take one…

Yakura fell on his face.

Yakura: …Right now.

Akira: Lemme join you.

Akira fell on his face.

Akira: OOOOUUCCCHH!

Shoo: What were you even thinking?

Akira: Let me be, I am suffering enough right now.

Doctor: You two should rest, too. I'll give the details when you are ready.

Shoo and Shion: Thank you.

The doctor left the room. Shoo and Shion got in a bed.

Shoo: Aren't you glad Yakura? More people are starting to like you.

Yakura: Just because they are not hunting me, doesn't mean they like me. I am just not a threat to them.

Kowata: Let us leave Yakura with his grumpiness on the floor. We can disguss this later.

Akira, Shoo and Shion: Deal!

Yakura: Deal.
