Thunder Dragonfly’s Deadly Wings!

"F*ck! F*ck! F*ck!" Ezio shouted as he lay on the ground. "What the hell was that?"

"Sixth Curtain is a significant barrier in Signium." A voice reverberated in his mind. Ezio, who was frustrated and tired because of what had happened, perked up his ears as he looked into the Mysterious Room in shock. Because the one who was talking was Anon. It was the first time he took the initiative to start the conversation.

"What do you mean, Anon?" He asked in shock.

"From Sixth Curtain on, Signiums can be brought to the material world. For example, if you have a Fire Dagger as your Signium, you can summon it to your hand to use as a weapon. They are as strong as King Tier weapons. But it cannot be used for too long." Anon explained.

"Are you serious?" Ezio looked at Anon in disbelief. "How about non-weapon type Signiums then?"

"Avatar-type and Demonic Beast Signiums morph your body to bestow abilities. If you manifest a wolf-like Signium, you will become a wolf for a short while. You will also access the abilities, the Signium has. For example, if your first Signium, Star Chasing Hurricane Wolf were to be from the 6th Curtain, you could morph into a wolf and gain the ability to use Wind with more precision. Your speed would be much more than your human body could achieve." Anon slowly explained. Ezio was listening with his eyes peeled.

"Then why did this feeling appear, when I was about to pick that wolf Signium?" He asked. That feeling was so strange.

"It was me," Anon said with a sigh. "Like I said, in the Sixth Curtain, you can morph into your Signium. If you were to take that Signium, eventually you will be forced to use it even if I explained everything to you. In the face of death, you would choose the alternative, which is morphing into the Signium despite the dangers it carries."

"And what is wrong with that?" Ezio asked. He didn't get it.

"There are worse things than death," Anon said with a deadpan expression. "Morphing into Demonic Signiums affects your psyche. Their instincts, heritage, bloodlust… You don't go unscathed from that."

"Is it about the technique I am using?" Ezio asked in sudden revelation. He realized that ever since he started to use The Azure Wolf King's Eternal Fang, his state of mind started to change. It wasn't obvious at first, but slowly, his ideas were assimilating to something else.

"Yes." Anon nodded. "Technique is already changing you, but because I am cultivating it in your stead, I am keeping them out to the best of my abilities. But I cannot stop some of the thoughts from reaching you. But I am sure you are strong enough to ignore these subtle implants."

"I understand now." Ezio nodded in thoughts. "Thank you, Anon. Thanks for protecting me and thanks for explaining."

"It is nothing." Anon sat down on his mattress and he closed his eyes. "The Signium is good, don't worry about it."

"Oh right!" Ezio left the mindscape as he willed his Signium to appear. Rumbling clouds appeared in the sky, as a suffocating feeling spread throughout the small world. If there was any other person in the domain, they would kneel down in deference. That was the effect of a Signium from the Sixth Curtain on people.

Ezio looked at the phantom that appeared on top of him dumbfoundedly. Its wings were fluttering ever so slightly, but the buzz was resonating with the rumblings in the sky. Its menace eyes were looking in every direction keenly. No prey could escape from it. The colorful blueish-purple body with the blue aura of the Sixth Curtain looked so amazing.

"Thunder Dragonfly's Deadly Wings!" Ezio muttered as the name of the Signium appeared in his mind.

"Lightning Insight, Wind Insight, Aerial Mastery, Demonic Beast, Short Sword Mastery!" Ezio gulped heavily. "This is amazing!"

Ezio pulled Tenebras Lux from the Mysterious Room and held it in his arm. In the next second, Lightning manifested on his arm and covered the dagger. The dark dagger sucked the light out of the lightning, but the loud element was still on the dagger.

"Damn, this dagger still allows me to be stealthy despite using this flashy element," Ezio exclaimed in excitement. He swung the dagger from top to the ground and back into the air. He was moving with wind on his back and lightning under his feet. He was so fast, he felt like flying.

"I lucked out! I lucked out. I just wanted to choose a Signium before I was tossed out, but it turned out to be something great!" He jumped in the air.

"Let's try that while I am still here," Ezio said and in the next second, his body changed. Instead of a 14 years old boy, there was a Dragonfly where he stood. The insect was at least a meter long and its wingspan was 2.5 meters.

"This is amazing!" He shouted as he flapped his wings. "I am flying! I can fly!"

Lightning cracked around the insect's body as it flew all around the domain. Its speed was faster than Tian Xu who attacked him back at the sect. Tian Xu was at the peak of the Qi Solidification Realm, a whole Realm above him. It only showed how fast Ezio's new form was, despite not adjusting the Signium and Elements yet.

Ezio flew for about 10 minutes, but then suddenly began to fall to the ground. Halfway through his flight, his body returned to normal, and his body crashed to the ground with a loud thud.

"Damn!" He groaned as he sat on his butt. "I can morph 10 minutes only?"

"Anon? 10 minutes only?" Ezio asked but the former ignored him. "I guess I have to figure it out myself."
