End of the Battle

At the palace,

During the mayhem, Yontu disappeared. Members of Zeus's Fury Sect appeared out of nowhere and joined with Demeter's Blessing to attack people who were supporting Xiao Chen and disciples Taro Mars, Mo Zan, and Xiao Chen brought from their respective powers. Luckily most of the guards had already been sedated and Knights were helping the Third Prince to clear out to traitors.

Since the formation was mostly in Taro's hand, he could overpower Envoys who were keeping him in check. Envoys were not experts in battles as they were mostly there to intimidate others from destroying their junior sects. But they weren't nobodies either and could defend against Taro who was trying to break out of their blockade.

Among the chaos, there were two girls looking at everything with absolute horror. As they couldn't understand what was going on. One of them was the Little Princess, who should have been married by now, and the other one was Princess Moon. She couldn't see where her fiance was but for some reason, she was anxious.

While the battle was going on, four things happened one after the other. The first one was the aura, which swept over the capital and reached all the way to the palace. Envoys and Taro Mars shivered in dread for a single second, as they looked to the east, while everyone else in the ballroom froze, too afraid to even move. The aura was so regal and ferocious that they thought the entity lording over their lives was watching them and they couldn't act atrociously and anger him.

Taro and Envoys knew that it was some sort of innate aura unleashed because of anger or some other strong emotion. But whoever owned the aura, was going to be someone important in the future.

Envoys hoped it was Adrian, who completed his title and Signium and became the Purple King.

Taro Mars hoped whoever got the title, would know he didn't care. He didn't care if it was Xiao Chen or someone else, he just wanted the new King to assist them.

The next two things happened almost at the same time. Princess Moon fell to the ground as he cried out a scream. Everyone in the room by now stopped battling, so the scream caught their attention. They saw the beautiful princess shedding blood tears, as he was clutching her chest where her heart was.

Almost at the same time, Taro Mars received a message from her sister. She was crying and cursing. She was blaming her brother and threatening to send him to hell. She was questioning furiously, as her son perished.

The fourth thing happened after. While Knights rushed to help Princess Moon, others started to realize something big was happening. Even the big shots stopped fighting, and whatever was happening, it was going to bring changes. When they were thinking about what they should do next, a purple beam shot to the heavens from the East. The beam of light took the shape of a humanoid sitting on his throne. He looked down at the land with reminiscences. He then raised his right arm, and several other beams shot all over the continent. The Purple Lands were going to unite once again.

"As much as I want to kill you myself, I can't." Anon was still stepping on Xiao Chen's head, plastering his head to the ground. He turned to shocked Adrian and uttered slowly, "Finish him."

Adrian got out of his stupor as he walked toward them. His hands were shaking madly, and his heart was beating in his chest as if it was trying to break out of its confines. Adrian breathed deeply, as he tried to calm his emotions. He still couldn't believe what was going on. What happened to Ezio that changed him so much? Although in the middle of the battle, his mannerism changed, it was his words that triggered the boy most. Pride? Was it so important? He always thought life was more important, and he was ready to kneel. Because if there is no life there is no hope.

But the boy unleashed crazy potential when his pride was jeopardized. He didn't know what he should be feeling about it.

While he was thinking, his legs brought him to Ezio and Xiao Chen. The latter was looking at him pitifully. His eyes were begging, but his tongue could not. Adrian felt sorry for a second, but he pushed it away as soon as it appeared. He knew there was no saving for Xiao Chen. If he didn't kill him, Ezio would. Since it was so, he could at least make it quick and gain the full inheritance.

He drew one last breath, then slashed the sword to his distant cousin's neck. Since both of them were able to get the inheritance, it meant both of them were carrying the Purple King's blood. That made them cousins even if it was distant.

The head rolled over from the body, as the spray of blood washed his feet. Adrian looked at it, and noticed, weirdly he wasn't feeling anything. He knew Xiao Chen was evil and he tried to turn him evil against his brother, the Third Prince. He killed and tortured people ever since he appeared. He staged a war, poisoned the king, and killed innocents. He would do much more, but someone always stood against him.

While he was in deep thoughts, his Signiums started to flare. The Purple King started to shine and the cyan hue around it got darker. It was getting closer to blue color and to his and Anon's surprise, it turned blue after some time.

"It evolved to a Signium from the Sixth Curtain!" Adrian said in disbelief. A purple beam shot out from the Signium as the newly evolved Purple King appeared in the sky. He was now even more majestic. He looked more regal. He was holding an orb with lightning swimming inside of it. The lightning looked regal as the King did. This time, on the other hand, he was holding a sword.

Before Adrian could utter his surprise, beams of lights shot all around the continent. These lights were sites where Purple King left his formations so that when his descendant came to power, he could use them to gain control. The capital had one too, and Adrian felt he was merging with it each second.

He closed his eyes and basked in this feeling. Anon looked at him, then moved from the dead body. He took the Spatial Ring from Xiao Chen's finger as he kicked the head. The formation was canceled and the head landed in front of the monsters.

"Feed," Anon said with a bloodthirsty smile as he sat on the rock. Monsters roared in unison and started to attack the body. They all started to eat the dead body before the soul could escape.

While all of these were happening, a pair of violet eyes were watching from afar. He looked at the light show in the air, and the bloodthirsty smile on Ezio's face. This person clenched their fist in anger and then walked away.
