Ch. 172 A Family Warmth

The following day, Anxia's eyelids fluttered―were opened and blinked a few times―and closed as if she was still drowsy. Her whole body ached, making her lazy to move―she felt numb, and her muscles tensed as if she had done some extreme activities.

It took a couple of minutes for Anxia to recall what had happened to her―she remembered the sudden ambush and the gunshot in her shoulder.

She already expected it―once she got entangled in the assassin world, no matter how much she wanted to get out, Anxia could never be free from her past.

Anxia stared at the ceiling blankly. The fact she had opened her eyes and was staring at the ceiling of her room―she knew she was still alive and had returned home safely.
