Camp Luma vs Cult of the One Savior (2/4)
[DAY 16]
If the battle continues like this, Camp Luma will lose the battle even though they outnumber them.
The tanks and the mech alone could probably destroy the enemy army. They must be neutralized, immediately. Only then could the advantage fall into the hands of Camp Luma.
Neo has an advantage that nobody has on the battlefield, he is undead. He therefore needs no rest and has infinite endurance. Only his mind needs a break every now and then. Besides, nobody knows the extent of his abilities and actually he wanted to leave it at that for now. But if he never uses his abilities just because he thinks a human shouldn't see him, how is his control over his abilities supposed to improve? How is he supposed to defeat stronger opponents in the future if he doesn't get stronger himself? So Neo decided to gradually use all his abilities in this fight.
'I should start with the tanks, two of the four tanks are very far in front, they slaughter the soldiers in the pits with their machine guns like dogs. That has to stop. It should also increase the morale of the camp's soldiers. Oh speaking of morals, how are the others doing? Meram seems ok, Ninette is just throwing up, Donatien... Donatien is crying? What the hell? Well doesn't matter.' thought Neo.
"Hmm... can I have your attention? The situation may look dire, but in reality it's not so hopeless. The cult only relies on its tanks and mechs. If we destroy them, the combat effectiveness of the camp will increase . I have a suggestion on how to proceed. I will take care of the two tanks at the front and destroy them. Meanwhile you try to kill the gunners from the buildings there." Neo said as he first pointed to the tanks and then to a complex of buildings not that far from their current position.
"The children and pregnant women stay here while..." Neo said when he was interrupted by Meram, who raised one of his pistols and aimed at him, suddenly.
"Who or what are you? Why do you want to go into the camp so badly? Answer me, otherwise ..." Meram said with an angry face as he aimed at Neo.
Ninette and Donatien were surprised by the sudden congratulation but also drew their guns and aimed them at Neo, quickly.
Neo smiled as he saw his three little pigs aim at him with the guns he gave them.
'Oh... how?... no, it doesn't matter, I don't like the fact that they know so much, but for now I need them. Hmph, however that doesn't mean I'll forget to pay my bill twice.' thought Neo, with a smile.
Neo then put both his hands up and was silent for a full minute as he looked at everyone in the group. Elly looked at the floor. The kids all looked away from Neo. Only the pregnant woman, Ninette, Donatien and Meram looked straight into Neo's eyes.
"... Since when?" asked Neo after some time.
"Too many strange things have happened so far. That the undead won't attack us when you're around. That you're pulling weapons and supplies out of every bag you have. That you're alone blowing up the entire blockade... and that you got brains in your bags." Meram said as he looked at Neo with disgust.
"And what do you want to do now? Shoot me here and now? I don't think you will do that. As you would have done it from the beginning if you wanted me dead. The truth is, you need me, you need me and my power. Otherwise, your camp, the survivors, they will all die. So how about we make a compromise... I'll attack the cult and take out their two tanks and mechs that are killing hundreds right now. But in return I want something from you and the camp." Neo said as he looked at Meram's face, which was now cold and calm again.
Meram didn't say anything, just nodded.
"I want you to look for someoen when this is all over. When she his in your camp I'll take her and we'll leave. We'll never have to see each other again, that's a promise." Neo said with a cold look as he looked at Meram.
"No way... we can't work with that monster!" suddenly screamed Ninette.
"Stop... ok... we have a deal" Meram said as he stopped Ninette with his hand on her gun.
He lowered his own gun slightly and kept looking at Neo. Neo, on the other hand, who got a little angry about the actions of his group he f*ck saved so much, just came up with an ingenious plan on how to eliminate the enemy army and weaken Camp Luma, which may become his enemy in the near future.
"You will attack the buildings over there. I'll take care of the armored vehicles." Neo said as he saw two tanks destroying a bunker.
Then his skin reshaped and his dark demonic armor suddenly appeared. In addition, he was now 210 cm (6 feet 11) tall again. Then Neo bent a little down while holding his sword in one hand and his rifle filled with incendiary ammunition in the other.
With a strong jump, he jumped over several houses to another roof, and from there he jumped into battlefield.
When the rest of the group saw what Neo had just done, their faces paled even more. Meram looked in Neo's direction with concern and a little fear.
'Is he a demon?' wonder Meram. but after he was freed from his thoughts he went with the others towards some buildings to help the soldiers there.

As Neo jumped into the battlefield, he created a small crater on the ground. He was still a good distance away from the tanks and decided to sprint straight towards the tanks.
'Let's see what the armor can withstand' thought Neo with a smile under his demonic helmet.

The soldiers of both sides did not notice Neo when he entered the battlefield at first. Everyone was focused on survival, no one can afford distractions. But when a black silhouette passed them and they looked in that direction, they couldn't believe their eyes.
A demonic figure that doesn't seem to come out of the depths of hell, runs towardas a tank at the front, which has just destroyed a bunker and slaughters some soldiers from the Luma camp. In addition, any cultists he passes fell to the ground with their heads severed.
The demonic figure ran past fleeing soldiers with a blue ribbon on their arm. Most of the soldiers were teenagers, around the age of 17 or younger. But the battlefield knows no mercy, everyone who enters it, is the same. Women, pregnant, old, children, innocent or guilty, none of that matters here. Anyone can and will die here if they are just a little careless.
Neo, who has just killed the last cultists, ran even faster towards the tank and was also seen by it. The tank turned slightly as it hovered about 1 meter above the ground and shot at Neo with the machine gun.
"TRAAAAAAA!"
"TRAAA!"
"TRAAAAA!"
Neo's armor stopped the shots completely and the bullets ricocheted off one after the other without leaving a single scratch. The tank saw that Neo was not far away from it and fired the main gun at Neo.
"BOOOM" went after the shot hit Neo and a huge cloud of dust and debris was everywhere.
The tank assumed it had eliminated Neo and was about to turn towards the fleeing enemies when suddenly Neo emerged from the explosion.
Neo was unhappy with his resilience test. His armor has been slightly scratched and one can see some cracks in it. But the next moment they closed again. Slowly but steady.
Neo, who was slowly becoming more and more angry, decided to continue with his experiments. He focused on the fuel tank of the tank, after a while he could see the atoms inside the petrol and decided to get them moving. And so the atmos followed his will and crashed into each other more and more and flew in all directions.
"BOOOOOOOOM" the tank suddenly exploded and a huge black cloud came out of the tank. It was destroyed.
But Neo's mind felt like being cut into thousend pieces, he can do it two more times at best, after that he has to rest his mind.
Neo then decides to kill all the cultists that are near him. No sooner said than done, Neo ran towards the first available opponent and cut him up vertically. The cultist opened his eyes wide and looked straight at Neo as he couldn't believe that he was dying this way. Neo then ran from one cultist to the next. His dark blade sliced through anyone who stood in his way. One had his arms cut off, the other had his head cut off and gradually all the cultists around Neo were killed by his sword.
In the end, Neo killed more than 200 or so cultists and made his way to one of the pits leading to the tank. In the pit, Neo encountered some cultists who opened fire on him. Neo made short work of the cultists and in less than two minutes 60 or so cultists were dead on the floor.
When Neo then wanted to advance further to the tank, three cultists with GB1 Battle armor suddenly came towards him and he decided to face them. Neo shot one of the three cultists which has laser gun in his hand, with his gun. The other two reacted quickly and returned fire with two machine guns in their hands.
Neo deliberately attacked the cultist with the laser gun to prevent him from shooting at him, he didn't care about the other bullets, they couldn't penetrate his armor at all.
Neo got his sword closer and closer to the cultist, but at the critical moment the cultist gritted his teeth at Neo and raised his weapon up and shot Neo.
The laser attack hit Neo in the shoulder and went through the armor and Neo now has a small hole in his left shoulder. In the end, however, the wound only made Neo more angry. He threw away the weapon in his left hand, and jumped at the cultist and cut off his arms with two attacks, taking the laser weapon with his left hand. Then he shot the cultist's chest.
"PRAN!"
"PRAN!"
"PRAN!"
"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHAAAAH"
Made the laser gun when Neo shot the cultist in the combat suit. Then he rammed his sword into the opponent's helmet and killed him.
Although the GB1 armor can withstand up to calibar 50, it still has no chance to protect against Neo's broadsword or against a laser weapon.
Neo then turned and shot the other two in the head.

After Neo shot the two, he headed to the cultist tank who was attacking two armored police vehicles. One has already been destroyed and the soldiers in the burning vehicle are desperately trying to get out, screaming for help.
But when they smashed the windows, the vehicle suddenly exploded and the screams stopped.
Neo then ran out of the pit and killed some cultists, including 2 with a battle armor, from behind.
In front of Neo was now only the hovering tank and some armored cultist vehicles.
Neo decided to take care of the armored vehicles first and jumped at them. He jumped onto the roof of one of the vehicles and shot the driver with the laser gun in his left hand. He killed the other cultist and the shooter, afterwards.
Then he jumped to the next vehicle. There he cut open the driver and the vehicle with one single sword move.
His wound on his shoulder has now closed again. However, he noticed that he was really hungry and decided to eat some brains quickly behind the wrecked car.
His helmet changed and formed Neo's face, then he ate four brains and a few organs and after 2 minutes he had his helmet back on, ready to fight the tank near him.
The enemy tank didn't just stop idle their eather. It destroyed 3 more armored police vehicles. Neo could see many soldiers with blue armbands running away in panic, at far.
"Tst, am I the only one fighting here? Damn cowards" Neo thought to himself as he saw the fleeing soldiers at the back and than he looked at the tank in front of him. The tank didn't saw Neo yet and was with it's back towards him. Neo suddenly had an idea.
He ran towards the tank from behind and cut the hatch that one use to climb into the tank in an x-shape and after a few cuts the hatch was destroyed. Inside the tank were two cultists shooting at Neo with pistols.
Neo blocked the attacks with his armor and quickly killed the pilots, then kicked them both out and disabled his armor. He was now 182 cm tall and then he got into the tank.

"How the hell do you control that thing?" Neo asked himself as he clicked on a button and suddenly the tank shot in the direction of the cultists who were chasing the soldiers of the camp.
"Boom"
"What the hell?"
"Learn to aim damn who's in the tank!"
"AAAAH my leg, f*ck"
"Ups ... sorry ... well at least I know the right buttons now." Neo said with a smile on his lips as he clicked a button and a holographic interface opened in front of him. It shows the situation outside.
Then Neo turned the tank towards the mech in front of him which just destroyed another bunker.
Neo then fired the main gun at the missile launchers at the Mech's back.
"BOOM"
"BOOM"
"BOOM"
Did it when the missiles on the mech's back were destroyed. The mech was still intact, however, and turned slightly towards Neo.
"HAHAHAHA what fun. Alright, so you want to kill me, don't you? Then come on!" yelled Neo as he quickly pivoted the floating tank slightly backwards toward the cultist operations base.
Neo then directly flew some cultists over and killed them. These poor cultist didn't even had a chance to dodge.
Neo then saw another tank on a hill which just shot at a pit filled with soldiers. Neo shot at the tank and hit.
The tank went "BOOOM" when it exploded but was still intact.
The tank then turned and looked in Neo's direction. It then fired at Neo's tank as he dodged.
The cultist tank followed Neo and shot at him with the machine gun, hitting some of his own.
Neo quickly turned his tank lightly as there was a destroyed bunker in front of him. The cultist tank however didn't saw the debris and reacted too slowly and slammed into them.
Neo, now seeing the cultist tank from behind, shot with a smile on his lips.
"BOOOM" went the cultist tank as it exploded.
"Three destroyed, one left." Neo said when suddenly a cultist stood behind him and shot toward his head with a pistol in his hand.
Neo, who was concentrating on fighting the tank, didn't notice that a cultist got into the back of his tank.
The bullet erupted from his pistol and stopped in mid-air as Neo used his telekenes. Neo then controled the head of the cultist who shot and brought it between the bullet and himself.
"AAAAh WHAT THE HELL!" screamed the cultist as he experienced the most unfair treatment of his life.
With a "Bang" the cultist fell to the ground, he still couldn't believe how unfair he just died.
"HUUUUUUUU" Neo went as his head felt like it was about to explode. He needs a break, URGENTLY!
And Neo was lucky because suddenly he heard a voice from the small radio chip in on eof the pockets of the cultist.
"SHH... ALL TROOPS. PULL BACK BEHIND SECTOR 3. WE REGROUP AND ATTACK AGAIN..." said a voice over the radio.
"Well, at least I'll have a short break." Neo said as he closed his eyes and took a few deep breaths in and out.
He then piloted the hovering tank towards Luma Camp with a white flag hoisted on the outside, which he made out of a t-shirt.
Neo himself stood on top of the tank with his armor activated and sat cross-legged on the roof, closing his eyes to regain his concentration.

***POV: Luma Camp & John Raita
The soldiers and leaders at the command base further away from the battlefield in a small office building couldn't believe it, one of the hovering tanks that was destroying their defence, bunker by bunker and one by one shooting their soldiers to pieces, was destroyed.
And then there is this strange demon that is said to have destroyed it. A being that beheads the cultists it encounters and even slices battle armor into pieces like butter with a huge broadsword...
'What the hell are the soldiers telling their leaders?' John Raita wondered.
'Well, a lot of crazy things have happened in this new world so far' he thought to himself.

John, the former precinct police chief, was with his daughter at his old police station at the time the apocalypse hit, to give his daughter a tour of his old workplace.
He never would have thought that the apocalypse would suddenly rain down from the sky and destroy everything. He was able to survive with the guns and police officers in the station and they quickly began rescuing more civilians and by day 3 they had already formed a large force and had volunteers and police officers to protect them against the undead.
They hoped that the military would help the people of the city in the near future. But when no help came after the 7th day, they took their fate into their own hands. They needed food urgently.
They decided to attack a mall, which unfortunately became the nest of three Stage 1s. They didn't stand a chance and many of his former friends died that day.
John and some of his soldiers only survived in the end because they were rescued by three other survivors who also happened to be in the mall.
The three told him about the cult and the sacrifices for the first time, at that moment John was more than angry. .
'How dare these monsters! Scum kill, eat and rape children and women and than sacrifice them. Damn it.' John thought to himself.
He also had to think of his older daughter and wife, whom he hasn't heard from since the apocalypse. He knew that his daughter still got the small ax from him to hunt. She should be able to survive.
But he worried about his wife the most. She has never really liked violence. He named the camp he founded after her. Since then he has repeatedly had fights with the cult and so far has been able to get away with a black eye.
But this time it was different. John is not a tactician and has never been trained as a military soldier and has never seen combat. That's why he made many small mistakes that led to today's fight. He knows there will be many casualties and he was very uncertain about his victory when he saw the tanks and the mech.

But his fear was being diverted to something else.
John just stared at the latest report from the battlefield and a shiver ran down his spine.
The demon he read reports of earlier destroyed another tank killing several hundred cultists, some wearing battle armor. And has camped a tank and is moving straight towards their position.
John was confused, anxious, excited and also a little happy.
When such a monster fights for them, they would maybe be able to win the battle. At the same time, John was also scared, scared of his position being stolen from him by this demon.
After reading the report, John went outside and was escorted by his soldiers towards the tank coming their way.
Then they saw it. A demon sitting cross-legged on a tank without making a sound. It looked fearsome from afar.
'Will he eat us?' John thought to himself at this sight.

Neo drew closer and closer as he meditated on his floating tank.
Suddenly he opened his eyes and jumped 10 meters into the air towards an old person standing there in a full GB1 armor. Neo recognized from the armor that it must be the police chief and is therefore the leader of the camp.
Everyone raised their guns as Neo landed and stood only 6 or so meters away from John.
"Do you want to win this fight? Leader of Camp Luma? Then I have a deal for you that you can't deny" Neo spoke out loud in his demonic voice while a malicious smile emerged from beneath his mask.
