STARS CAN'T MEND HEART

Underneath the blanket of a moonless night, I found myself gazing at the stars, hoping they held answers to the questions that haunted my heart. "Do you know what happened to us?" I whispered into the darkness, a plea carried on the winds of sorrow. Yet, the stars remained silent, their distant glow offering no solace to my shattered soul.

I've been crumbling, piece by agonizing piece, while you remain indifferent, unmoved by the fragments of our shared past that litter the landscape of my mind. I tried, oh how I tried, to grant you the space you needed, but it was a futile effort.

You assured me, with words as fragile as glass, that you could love me, and it's that promise that now cuts me deepest. The pain of knowing that love was never enough weighs heavy on my chest, suffocating me in a sea of longing and regret.
