"Opening the Gate of Death and you won't die for three minutes."
"Seven days of cooldown each time."
"A good reward."
Uchiha Ran's dark eyes gleamed brightly.
Might Guy's favoritism in taijutsu is quite serious. If it's not about physique, his own strength is weak in Chūnin, but if it's Taijutsu, he's strong in Jōnin.
And if he opens the Eight Inner Gates, each gate can elevate him to Elite Jōnin and even quasi-kage status. The Fifth Gate to the Sixth Gate is undoubtedly Kage-level, and it's the more potent kind.
The Seventh Gate is well beyond Kage-level, incredibly formidable.
As for the Eighth Gate, it's at a level that can even threaten those at the Six Paths level.
Although this strength is somewhat deficient, and the weakness of his Taijutsu is apparent, no one can overlook his burst of combat power. After all, this is Madara's personal trial.
In the original trajectory of the Fourth Ninja War, if Might Guy could open the Eighth Gate for three minutes and then attempt it again, even if he missed Madara's head the first time, he could make up for it.
This is an existence capable of perishing alongside ordinary Six Paths.
Very useful.
"Guy, do you know what to choose?"
Inside the Hokage building, Kakashi gave Might Guy a meaningful look.
If he chooses option 2, Might Guy's combat power will soar directly to Konoha's first echelon, which is of great significance.
"Kakashi, don't worry." Might Guy gave Kakashi a thumbs up and flashed his trademark grin.
Kakashi's mouth twitched slightly.
Uchiha Obito, observing this scene, his expression darkened inexplicably.
Rin Nohara, standing beside Fourth Hokage Namikaze Minato, who was handling official business, noticed the situation and interjected with a chuckle.
"This battlefield is intriguing."
Speaking of which, Konoha is currently exceptionally strong.
The other hidden villages are like guards of Konoha.
But Uchiha Ran directly dispatched Second Hokage stalwarts like Tobirama alongside Sixth Hokage Tsunade and Madara.
When the Five Kages Conference just commenced, the leaders of the Hidden Ninja Villages speculated that Konoha was up to something big.
As a beam of light descended upon Guy, his ninja Sword underwent a startling transformation. Unfazed, Guy turned to the live camera, posing a poignant question: "Lord Fifth Hokage, if I choose option one, may I employ the Resurrection Card to resurrect my late father?"
In Konoha, merit dictated all. With sufficient merit points, one could obtain anything from forbidden jutsu to artifacts—and even the unthinkable, such as resurrection.
This is also the law that Konoha will soon implement in the Ninja world.
The substitution of Might Guy aligns with the regulations.
Yet, as he uttered these words, everyone stood in shock.
No one could have fathomed that this decision would come from the seasoned youth.
Revive his father?
No matter how remarkable one's father may be, can he possess temporary combat prowess equivalent to that of a Six Paths and the standard combat proficiency of a Kage?
If such strength existed, it would undoubtedly have made waves in the ninja world.
However, he remains merely an ordinary ninja.
The return on investment is abysmal.
Even if it were Kakashi's father, the White Fang of Konoha, it would have made more sense, given his significance.
Essentially, Might Guy's decision to revive his father, choosing the latter option, lacks cost-effectiveness entirely.
Even if the revival card lies in the hands of Uchiha Ran, who resurrects Might Guy's father.
But the revival card, no matter how you look at it, is a fair exchange for power.
Utterly foolish.
"Guy!" Kakashi's lips twitched.
He could empathize with the other's longing to bring back his father.
However, Guy's weapon was bestowed by Uchiha Ran, likely as a reward for selecting option two.
Hence, by indulging in his "selfish desires," he would forfeit a promising future.
[Uchiha Ran: You can choose two; your father will be resurrected by me naturally.]
"Master Fifth Hokage, isn't that a bit unfair?"
Though grateful, Might Guy's refusal was resolute: "You've already bestowed upon me Nuibari, which in itself is an act of kindness. If I accept the reward without exchanging merit for the chance of resurrection, I would be disregarding the rules you've set."
"You'd best adhere to the regulations."
Might Guy felt a pang of shame.
His father was unable to make it onto the Golden List, indicating that his prowess was not recognized as at least Jonin level.
This was understandable.
Had Might Duy not underestimated his Chunin strength back then, he could have repelled the Seven Ninja Swordsmen without resorting to unlocking the Eight Gates.
And without needing to unlock them, he wouldn't have only managed to vanquish a few of them.
Who were the Seven Ninja Swordsmen compared to Madara with Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan? Duy was in a league of his own.
To choose two over one was indeed somewhat selfish.
"This lad has given me something to consider," Uchiha Ran chuckled.
"Did you not inform him why you bestowed upon him the Nuibari?" Tsunade asked, wearing an odd expression.
"He accepted it without hesitation, as if he knew all along," Uchiha Ran remarked, a hint of bewilderment in his tone.
Tsunade placed her hand on her forehead and chuckled softly, "Such impulsive behavior."
"Isn't this a bit too impetuous?" Uchiha Ran chuckled, shaking his head before adopting a serious expression. "But sometimes, certain actions are necessary to make a point."
[ Uchiha Ran: Guy, why do you think I gave you that Nuibari?]
[ Uchiha Ran: Instead of the First Hokage, Second Hokage, and Fourth Hokage which can bring more benefits?
The individuals on the list possess varying strengths, and correspondingly, the Gold List will bestow better rewards.
For instance, there's a stark difference between a Three Tomoe Sharingan and Mangekyō, and likewise between a One Tomoe Sharingan and a Three Tomoe Sharingan.
"Ah, maybe it's because this weapon suits me better?" Might Guy mused, scratching his head sheepishly.
"Teacher, wouldn't it be better if you didn't have a weapon?" Tenten interjected with a sarcastic tone.
"Guy, your thought process is beyond me," Kakashi chimed in with a hint of exasperation.
"Hahaha, is there some hidden meaning behind it?" Might Guy chuckled, patting his head.
