Ryan stared at the contract, not reading a single word on the page. Quentin's words echoed in his head so much that they had their own rhythm. "You need to let your anger go." "When you come to your senses." "Take care of OUR wife. Your family needs you."
Those words had carved themselves on his soul with how much they played in his head. Ryan rubbed his chest hard and tried to get the pain to ease.
Quentin's accusations had not only hurt him but drowned him in guilt. He desperately wanted to let go of all the negative emotions that surrounded every thought of his family. It had been a week since his conversation with Quentin and three weeks since he'd had both partners by his side. He needed his family back, and the only person holding him back was himself.
