["What the hell does that mean? Take them into the light? What light?" The scientist said while going over the words on the text box. I looked back to the monitor showing the parking lot. That blood redredred sky, looking like hell itself had risen and merged with us.]
"That's a fucking understatement." Husk grumbled.
Everyone is on edge as soon as they saw that same red sky that turned the world into chaos.
Moxxie grips Millie's hand so hard that it almost turned purple if not for Millie doing the same thing to Moxxie.
Crimson watched the two in disgust before he stared towards the screen, wondering on how to split them up so that he can force Moxxie to marry Chaz so that he can receive Chaz's money.
["It's the sun. There's no bodies left anywhere because they dragged everyone outside." I stated. No one said anything, the implications of the sun itself being the cause of all this weighing heavily on everyone. "Rewind that camera footage. Whatever took everyone hit us so fast no one was able to get the alarm off. We need to know what we're dealing with if we're going to head up there."]
"Is he fucking crazy?!!" Loona yelled.
"He's right." Everyone looked at Lucifer who has a serious expression on his face.
"It is important to know your enemy before facing them, even when the enemy is the fucking sun itself."
Everyone nodded at his words. With the knowledge that they will have once they get out of this theatre, they will prepare countermeasures so that they can deal with this.
Too bad they can't do shit about it if the sun broke.
["Head up there? You're not seriously about to hand this entire facility over to an SCP! We don't know what 079 is capable of if it escapes containment!" The doctor objected, clearly still coming to terms with the fact that containment protocols really should not be our top priority right now. ]
"Is this guy a fucking idiot? They have bigger problems than a stupid AI!" Valentino growled.
"Then again, what can one AI do? It's not like it can go anywhere other than that facility." Velvet pondered.
"I'm not so sure about that." Vox said, now unsure if SCP-079 is not as dangerous as he thought.
["Just rewind the damn tape. I need to know what the hell happened here." I ordered the egghead. Mumbling under his breath, he complied and rewound the tape an hour beforehand. We all watched with baited breath. For a while it seemed just like any other day. D-Class being escorted to various chambers for testing, the lunchroom full of people on their breaks gossiping about what new horrors the Foundation had dug up from nowhere, guards stationed outside Euclid and Keter containment cells, everything was right as rain.]
Everyone is watching very carefully, no one dared to utter a word as they are all completely focused on the screen in front of them.
[Then in a blink and you'll miss it moment, I saw on the outer perimeter cameras the sky quickly begin to darken into that red red so red color that I was quickly beginning to despise. For a few minutes, nothing happened. Guards outside the facility stared out the sky dumbfounded at the sight, and everyone inside seemed to be crowding around the nearest window to get a better look at what was going on.]
[Then...then they just melted into this goop. The guards outside quickly becoming nothing more than a puddle on the ground. It seemed quick at least. Small mercy there.]
Screams were heard from the theatre as they were in shock as the Sun just literally melt them to puddles of goop.
"OH MY SATAN!!! THIS IS TOO CRUEL!!!" Vaggie yelled in outage.
Charlie already broke down and began crying once she saw those humans just drop dead in the sunlight.
Mammon and Satan is at a loss for words. They didn't think that the Sun is capable of melting people so easily.
Husk spat his drink and started to cough as he can't believe what the fuck is he watching.
Vortex is also freaking out as well as his fur is standing on edge with beads of sweat all over his face.
Verosika and her crew are not doing so well either, Josh and Apple hug their boyfriend/girlfriend close, while Ace and Coco tried their best to comfort them. Milky and Kiki have their jaws dropped and Verosika accidentally crushed her glass cup in terror.
She prayed to her alternate selves that they were not outside while this catastrophe happened and that they were safe and sound in hell.
[The people inside were not so lucky. Maybe the windows affected the light just slightly, but clearly not enough as skin began to slowly liquify right off their bodies before meeting the same fate as those outside.]
That caught them off guard as they didn't know that the sunlight could reach that far.
"Even the windows as well?" Belphegor jotted that down as well. Seems like the only place is one where there is no sunlight or in a room with complete darkness.
[At this point the scientist couldn't help himself and started vomiting in the corner of the room. The D-Class seemed to be on the verge of a nervous breakdown. I just kept watching. I couldn't not watch. Burning the sight into my memory.]
[God I wish I had just looked away. To this day those memories haunt me at every waking moment.]
[Because if the sight of people literally melting wasn't nerve wracking enough, the sight of them getting back up almost made me join the doctor.]
"Wait What?!!!"
[Slowly, this gel looking substance started rising from those puddles and started taking a humanoid shape. Zooming in on a few revealed the shapes started to look a bit like the people before they melted. Only vaguely, like they were trying to put themselves back together but couldn't remember what they looked like.]
"Holy shit! It just like when sinners appeared in Hell but worse!!" Blitzø yelled in surprise.
"Only more grotesque, just how did the sun do that?" Fizzarolli asked with slight fear in his voice.
That question hangs over the audience as everything they knew about the sun just went straight out the window.
Lucifer's eyes widened in shock, 'How did the sun managed to reanimate those corpses?'
[At this point anyone who was lucky enough to not be standing in the sunlight started running. Some started running for the direction of the exit gates. They didn't see out the windows, no way for them to know what just caused this madness. Security opened fire on the creatures rising from the puddles, but it only seemed to slow them down. They just kept getting back up and the creatures immediately started grabbing anyone close to them and dragged them back to the windows.]
"But why the fuck would they do that?" Striker pondered.
Paimon thought about that question for a bit before he eventually figured it out.
"I think that those things are dragging those humans is because they are trying to convert more of them into those monstrosities."
The realization hits them hard as everyone went pale in fear.
[As more and more people melted, the gel creatures started to combine with each other. Forming masses comprised of multiple bodies at a time. Bullets weren't doing jack shit against these things now. Security forces seemed to realize this as well and started to fall back deeper into the facility.]
"Fuck!" Crimson slammed his fist into the armrest. "These things are fucking bulletproof?! How is that possible?! They were only human a few minutes ago?!"
Satan stared at the screen, intrigued at what the creatures can do.
'So they group up and become hard to hit with bullets huh? This is certainly impressive.'
[At this point the monsters started to seep into the vents and switching to other cameras in the facility showed these creatures seeping out and attacking Foundation personnel by surprise. One creature seemed to leap right out of the vent in the site administrator's office and opened its mouth to an inhuman degree before clamping down around his head and rotated its gel body so fast it twisted the Administrator's head off in a gory decapitation. All attacks ended with bodies being dragged back towards the windows or the Gates, whichever was easier to get to. Bodies which would still melt in the light and join the congregation of moving flesh.]
Charlie vomited into her bucket, while Vaggie patted her back, whispering comforting words to her while trying to not vomit as tears began flowing out of her eye.
Alastor slightly cringed at the bloody decapitation, at least he was a bit clean with his kills, he wondered if they still maintain some sense of decency?
Rosie didn't mind it at all as she continued smiling, while wondering what was the point of dragging those bodies if they were already dead?
[A thought creeped into my head and my heart began beating faster as I realized what I was looking at. "Rewind that a few minutes." I said. I needed to be sure. If I was right then this was bad.]
["Are you sick or something? What, this not doing it for you?!" The scientist screamed at me. He was nearing his breaking point, standing right on the edge of that dark pit few people ever crawl back out of. I noticed the ring on his finger and I remembered where I had seen him before. He and his wife just celebrated their anniversary a few weeks ago. She had brought cupcakes to the break room and we all got in trouble for being late to our guard shifts. She worked in the Light Containment Zone I believe, cataloging the SCP's for the Foundation's records.]
[The same Light Containment Zone that was being overrun on the monitors by what used to be our coworkers. With 079 confirming that we were the last survivors in the entire facility it wasn't hard to figure out what happened to her.]
Angel Dust feel sorry for the man. The thought of a loved one dying and you can't do anything about it, he knows the feeling all too well.
Husk looked at him with concern, before turning back to look at the screen.
[Oh God. Rachel. My sister, was she okay? What about her daughter? My niece? Were they outside when the sun decided to become a fucking death machine oh my god my family please God let them be okay this isn't happening this isn't happening -]
[No. Not right now. I can't. There's work to be done. My sister is a high level researcher. Supposedly working in one of the most secure facilities in all of the Foundation. Working on shit way above my pay grade. She's smart. They'll have seen this coming. They...they evacuated or bunkered down. My sister brought her kid to the site and they're safe and fine and-]
"He has a sister?" Wally said, surprised that the guard has a relative.
"Well she's probably dead by now." Mammon said, while eating some popcorn.
"You don't know that, she's probably still alive in some other facility." Octavia retorted.
"The sun just fucking mutated and everyone caught in it has turned into some fucked up versions of themselves, what makes you think that ANYONE is still alive by then?!" Mammon shouted at her, making her flinched.
Stolas's eyes narrowed at the embodiment of greed, no one talks to her daughter like that and gets away with it.
[Inhale. Count to four. Exhale.]
["Look at what they're doing." I started to explain, ignoring my own trip to the edge of the dark abyss. "They're not just killing people. They're focusing on senior security detail. The site Admin. Anyone who would have the capability to set the facility into lockdown. Look, they even ignored all the people who ran to the gates. They-"]
[Oh shit.]
[The Gates.]
[I could only watch in horror as those poor souls who didn't seem to realize the true threat start to unlock Gates A and B in a desperate attempt to escape the monsters that their friends had become not five minutes ago.]
[Only for a wall of flesh to pour inside and sweep up every single one of them as they were quickly pulled outside, realizing too late that the freedom they thought they were running to was nothing more than a trap.]
Everyone gasped as the humans got caught by the flesh and were pulled outside.
"Shit! There are more of them outside?!!" Tom trench yelled.
"Of course there are more of them you idiot!" Katie Killjoy slapped him on the back.
[The large mass congregated back outside, absorbing the group of survivors into its body growing even bigger before slowly crawling back into the facility. Right then the gates slammed shut on the creatures, crushing them under their heavy weight. What was left of the monsters outside seemed to scream in rage before pounding on the gates in a desperate attempt to regain the lost flesh.]
[Ah. This must have been the moment 079 took over the gates. Not a moment too soon.]
"Well, that was fast." Valentino admitted.
"Yeah, too fast." Vox narrowed his eyes at the screen.
'That's impossible. Even I can't hack into something as large as a facility that fast without some struggle. Furthermore, how did the AI get pass the firewalls and the security protocols? This is something I must look into.' He thought, refusing to be outdone by some old AI.
[Back down in the lower levels however, things were looking grim. In the chaos D-Class began fighting their wardens in an attempt to escape, not realizing that there was no freedom outside their prison walls. Security forces began mowing down the D-Class at the same time trying to fend off the goo seeping from the vents and reforming into humanoid figures. For a second they held their own, until the monsters began grouping together again. Like before, the bigger they became the less of an effect bullets seemed to have on them. Except now there was no where for anyone to run.]
[And then the containment chambers unlocked.]
[Poor bastards never stood a chance.]
Everyone was stunned at the massacre, those humans didn't stand a chance the moment the flesh monsters fused together.
'Hmm, those creatures have some semblance of intelligence, the way they group up together to swarm the humans is definitely of interest.' Alastor thought.
[Some remaining D-Class and a few desperate guards even tried hiding inside of the containment chambers, only to meet a predictable end from their inhabitants.]
[From there the SCP's collectively turned their attention to the flesh creatures. A pack of SCP-939's charged the main collective of flesh, some flesh monsters seemed to get cut out of thin air which I assume is the work of SCP-966, and I could see a mob of flesh running away from the cell housing SCP-096 and ohshitohshitohshit.]
"Woah look at them go!" Blitzø said, while pointing at the pack of SCP-939 attacking the flesh.
Moxxie could have sworn that some of the flesh were cut off out of nowhere. Though he wondered if it was some other anomaly was causing this.
Loona looked at the mob of flesh running away from a containment chamber. 'Why the fuck are they running away, what sort of creature caused them to turn tail and ran?'
[I slammed every button on that keyboard in a panic before the monitor turned off. Turning back around in a panic I half-shouted "Did either of you see its face?!?"]
Andrealphus was confused, "Hey Frost, why did the human turn off the monitor and what does he mean by 'It's face'?"
"Because by looking at SCP-096'S face will cause it to activate it's ability, I believe you all know what I'm talking about." Frost said.
It took them awhile for them to figure it out until they remembered the tall white creature that have it's face blurred out.
"Wait you mean that tall white creature we saw at the music video was the same one that made those things run?" Fin asked.
It took a nod from Frost to make their eyes widened as not only there is a creature in the human world was able to make those flesh monsters run away, but the fact that those humans were able to capture it in the first place spoke volumes about the SCP Foundation's capabilities.
Luckily, they have no way to go to Hell otherwise they were definitely screwed.
[Thankfully, they had both been looking at other monitors at that moment and were only startled by my outburst. Thank God. I don't even think it appeared on the monitor but after all this I am NOT going to get these people killed because I accidently targeted us for 096's wrath.]
[Okay. Enough recon. I know what I'm up against. I know what I have to do. I have a job, time to get it done.]
["We're doing it. SCP-079 took control of the security doors allowing it to somewhat contain the large masses of creatures from moving around, but small instances can still get into the vents to maneuver around them. The big guys either need to break apart which they don't seem to like to do or they just sit tight. That works in our favor as the big guys seem untouchable while the smaller ones are less durable. We need to get to the Administrator office and override the safety protocols allowing 079 to control the automated defenses." I laid out what needed to be done for the other two. The scientist didn't even seem to hear me. He just kept staring at the monitors showing the Light Containment Zone, praying to whatever God was out there that he could find his wife. I don't think he remembers 079 telling us there was no one left. Or maybe he just didn't believe it like I hadn't at first.]
Joe felt some sympathy for the human, he didn't know what he would do if his wife died, which was noticed by Lin as she grabbed his arm.
"Don't worry hun, I'm not going to die anytime soon." She reassured him, causing Joe to slightly relax a little.
[I sighed. He's gone, not much I can do for him now. "Okay doc, you stay here. Keep on the cameras and warn us if anything starts to come our way on the radio. And keep quiet, these things seem attracted to noise by the look of things." Turning to the D-Class I pointed to him and said, "You're with me. I need someone watching my back while I release control of the automated defenses."]
["Are you out of your mind? No way am I going up there!" The D-Class seemed ready to bolt out of the room. You'd think he'd be used to being put in rooms with supernatural dangers in them.]
Charlie was still angry at the Foundation's decision about sacrificing human lives for testing purposes.
But she realised that they have no other options, the scientist was still looking at the monitor and there was no other personnel that hasn't already been converted by the Sun.
She hoped that at least all of them will survive this.
["Look, down here you're no good to me. And if I can't get these defenses online then we're all going to end up like that." I explained pointing to the mass of flesh still pounding the outside of Gate A. Those gates better be as strong as we were told they are.]
["But-But I can't...FINE!" He yelled. Not like he had much of a choice. Where was he going to run to? Creatures hell-bent on killing everything in sight waited both above and below us.]
"Yeah, he kind of have no choice in this situation." Leviathan's left head commented.
"Agreed, we still haven't seen the rest of the anomalies that the foundation has kept in that facility." Leviathan's right head agreed.
[We walked to the door and I turned back to the doc. "Keep this door locked until we get back. The vents in here should be too small for anything to get through and even if it can, it's not a threat until it groups together. This door is the only way in and out of here, so you should be safe." I tried reassuring him, but I don't think it worked. He was twisting that ring on his finger, muttering under his breath staring at the monitors. I wanted to help him, but there was nothing I could do for him. I'm not a shrink damnit, I just shoot things.]
[The D-Class was waiting for me outside. We started towards the staircase before I led him down the stairs instead of up. "Where are we going?" he asked, "What happened to getting these defenses online or we're human soup?"]
["I don't know if you were paying attention, but clearly this isn't going to cut it." I said gesturing to the FN-P90 on my back. "So we're making a pit stop before going up."]
["Okay, I feel a lot better now." The D-Class stated holding his new toy. I couldn't help but grin looking at my own while we headed up the stairs. It's always fascinating how much fear can be overcome when you have a gun in your hand.]
Angel dust can kind of agree with the human, his tommy guns did made him stop feeling nervous especially during his younger days while he was in the mafia.
Still,he wondered what kind of weapons the humans have right now, they must have pretty advanced weapons if they want to survive this apocalypse.
[Well, technically it isn't a gun according to the safety demos we all got a few months prior. It is a "Mobile High-Intensity Electrical Discharge Thrower" according to the eggheads when they were presenting it. I remember everyone not in a lab coat rolling their eyes at that one. You pull the trigger and a few seconds later it shoots a laser beam. It's a gun. It was created as a prototype for potential upgrades to the weaponry for those guarding the SCP's. There's only so many SCP's we can shoot with bullets that have no effect on the creatures before the Foundation finally invested into better weaponry for us, and this was the answer. Or at least, it was going to be.]
Sir Pentious looked intrigued at the weapons, he knew that humanity has developed a lot of modern weapons by the time he died, but the
Mobile High-Intensity Electrical Discharge Thrower seems like something that is straight out of a sci-fi movie.
"Woah boss, that looks so cool!" An Egg Boi said in awe.
"Yeah, their weapons are even better than yours." Another Egg Boi said, unintentionally roasting him.
Sir Pentious looked enraged by this and proceeded to strangle it with his tail.
["Remember that it takes about 5 seconds to fully charge, and we don't really have a way to reload it. Still a prototype after all. So only shoot at anything if it's coming at us and we can't get away. We don't want to draw too much attention to ourselves and we can't kill them all." I explained to the D-Class. I didn't even know if these guns could kill the flesh monsters in the first place but I wasn't going to tell him that. These things had more of a chance of doing damage than regular projectile weaponry anyway.]
"Well those weapons better work for their sake." Crimson muttered, while taking a sip of his Vodka.
Moxxie was in awe of such weaponry, he wondered if the foundation have other weapons like this. Though he will find out sooner or later.
[The D-Class nodded as we approached the checkpoint separating us from ground zero of this whole mess. I looked into the camera where I figured SCP-079 was watching us from. After a nod, the doors at the checkpoint began to unlock, and we stepped through into what I can only describe as the aftermath of hell. Blood and gore covered the other side of the door, the walls, the ceiling, everywhere. I'm guessing the guards who retreated when people started melting tried to take shelter in the lower levels of the facility, but were locked out when 079 took over. This was their last stand, and it was not pretty.]
Everyone was distraught at the sight of the bloodied hallway, but at least they handled it slightly better compared to last time though.
"I hope their plan works babe." Josh whispered to his boyfriend.
"Yeah me too." He whispered back.
[Swallowing back down the bile trying to come up my throat, we pressed on down the hallway. Really the Admin office wasn't that far away, just up one more flight of stairs down the hall and past all the cubicles in the main office area would lead us right to the door of the Admin's office. My heart felt like it was about to jump straight out of my chest, and part of me wondered if the monsters could hear it from wherever they were hiding.]
["Hey," I whispered to the D-Class, "What's your name?"]
["What?" He whispered back, "Why the fuck do you care? More importantly, why are you asking me this now of all times?"]
[Because if anything happens in the ten minutes it will take to get to the Admin office and back to the checkpoint I more than likely won't get to ask. "I just figured we're gonna be down here for a while, might as well know your name so I don't have to keep calling you D-Class. Unless you'd prefer I just start saying that number on the back of your uniform."]
[He grumbled something under his breath before looking back at me. "Ben." He said, "Call me Ben."]
"Well at least we know of the name of the D-class." Asmodeus said, trying to lighten the mood with no avail.
"Now's not the time Ozzie." Fizzarolli whispered to the embodiment of lust, something which caught Mammon's interest.
["Nice to meet you Ben. Name's Justin." I responded as we slowly crept down the hallway approaching the stairs to the offices. Off in the distance I could hear the sounds of flesh scraping against metal, and I prayed they weren't coming in our direction. It seemed to come from everywhere, but not close to us.]
[Not yet.]
Everyone was silent as all of them were watching intensely at the screen. Charlie silently hoped that those two will make it out in one piece.
Too bad she doesn't know what's about to happen in the next few minutes.
[Passing the cubicles of scattered desks, evidence of people trying to hide under them only to be pulled from their hiding spot littering the floor. I could see the admin office just in front of us. So far nothing had happened. Maybe the monsters thought everyone was dead and just weren't looking for us anymore? I could only hope that was the case, and their main concern were the SCP's locked away below us. As long as they were looking down there, they wouldn't see us up here right?]
[Entering the Admin office hit me a fresh sense of apprehension as I eyed the vent where I had just seen a monster leap out of and rip the admin's head right off his body. These things were ambush predators, and with the 5 second chard time of the Micro H.I.D's anything that came out of that vent would have ample time to nab at least one of us.]
Apple was feeling very nervous right now as those flesh monsters were burned into her mind to which Coco tried to comfort her.
"Shh, don't worry babe. It's going to be fine. They will make it." Coco reassured her,which seems to calm her girlfriend's nerves for a bit.
["Keep an eye out. This shouldn't take long." I instructed Ben. Sitting down in the chair and wiping the blood off the monitor screen showed that due to the quick execution of the Admin, he never had time to log out of the computer. As such I was now sitting in front of a machine with Administrator access that contained who knows how much classified information that in any other situation I would be killed if not demoted to D-Class for just looking at. A small part of me wanted to peek around to see what secrets the Foundation was hiding behind its many closed doors, but this wasn't the time. The system showed an alert displaying that multiple lockdown requests had come from an unknown source, which would have been SCP-079 trying to access this particular computer remotely which was a big no no in the safety protocols, and after losing control of the door systems of the facility the system had engaged those safety protocols and locked out any attempts of lifting or otherwise controlling any of the defense systems in the facility. At this point the only place one could control anything was right here in this room. Made sense, in any other situation if the defenses were in control of someone who was NOT the Foundation then we would have a real problem on our hands. Basically the facility would go into a semi-lockdown state until MTF units cleared the building and only then would the Admin or higher ranking personnel release the safety protocols.]
Mammon was slightly impressed with how the humans managed their security, if only his own employees were capable of doing the same thing.
Then again with how little he was paying them, it's a wonder that no one has quit their jobs when working for a Seven Deadly Sin.
"Geez, they really are paranoid about their security huh?" Beelzebub said to Vortex.
"Yeah, do you think we should update our security for our next party?" Vortex asked.
Beelzebub was actually considering postponing the parties for now, at least until they dealt with the Sun turning on humanity for the moment.
[In that moment the irony of me handing over to an SCP the controls of the defenses that were designed to keep it contained or neutralized as a last resort were not lost on me. All my training was telling me not to do this, but there was no other choice. After entering the command to remove the safety protocols this warning message appeared:]
{WARNING:}
{ALL CLEAR SIGNAL HAS NOT BEEN GIVEN BY ASSIGNED MTF UNIT EPSILON-11}
{FAILURE TO FOLLOW PROPER CONTAINMENT PROCEDURES COULD LEAD TO INJURY/DEATH OF FOUNDATION PERSONNEL}
{DEFENSE SYSTEMS POTENTIALLY COMPROMISED}
{WARNING:}
{DISABLING FOUNDATION SAFTEY PROTOCOLS WITHOUT PROPER AUTHORIZATION WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE TERMINATION}
{CONTINUE?}
{Y/N}
[Yeah I don't think any MTF are coming buddy. Let's do thi-]
[Wait.]
"Oh come on! Just hurry up and do it already!" Striker exclaimed.
"Um, what is Epsilon-11?" Octavia asked, "Are they one of those MTF units?"
*Mobile Task Force Epsilon-11 handles internal security for the SCP Foundation, under oversight by MTF Alpha-1. They are a special ops force deployed to Foundation Sites when standard protocols fail and multiple breaches are imminent.* Angela replied.
"So they're the ones who deal with intruders huh?" Paimon said with interest.
"Well that, but they're just one of the multiple special elite forces that the Foundation has in their pocket." Frost added.
[Fumbling around with the computer for a bit I opened a text box like the one SCP-079 used to communicate with us and typed out:]
{SCP-079, are you there?}
[For a minute there was nothing until:]
{Confirmed. I am here. Why have you not unlocked the defense systems to me?}
{Protocols for the defense system will target both loose anomalies and any D-Class personnel not in a proper holding area. I turn on these defenses and the D-Class with us will be killed on sight.}
{Upon gaining control of facility defenses, I can rewrite targeting parameters to allow manual targeting. I will be in control of the defenses. The D-Class will not be harmed.}
{Wait, you can just reprogram the entire facility's safety protocols?}
{Correct. This entire facility will belong to me. I will be able to designate whoever and whatever I wish for termination.}
[Oh. Shit.]
[Maybe the egghead back downstairs was onto something.]
"And there it is! The classic robot turning on humanity trope!" Cherri Bomb exclaimed.
"Actually that's not the case." Frost intervened, causing the rest of the audience to turn towards him.
"And why is that? Once Justin disabled the security system, the most logical choice would be to execute them once they outlived their usefulness." Vox questioned as to why he's defending an AI.
"Well for starters, this AI is actually sentient, and while it does hate humanity, even it knows that they have to work together if they want to survive this apocalypse. And second of all, there's a reason as to why it kept Justin alive." Frost explained.
"Oh and what reason might that be?" Andrealphus asked.
"Well you just have to see it for yourself." Frost simply answered, much to the frustration of many demons.
{You have my word you will not be harmed.}
{All surviving SCP's will be instructed that you and the others are to be considered "off limits".}
{Failure to comply will result in their termination.}
{We survive together or not at all.}
"Wait how can SCP-079, keep the rest of the SCPs in line? Didn't we just see them kill the rest of the guards and the D-class?" Stolas asked.
"Well believe it or not, they are actually intelligent." Frost explained. "And once SCP-079 takes control of the facility, they will be kept in check unless they want to die from either it, or the flesh monsters outside."
"And you might want to look at the screen now. This one's important. "He gestured to the screen, causing the rest of the audience to look at it.
[Okay, now it's just trying to butter me up. That last line was a little much. I'm really starting to get a bad feeling about this. In fact I'm pretty sure some of those SCP's are more akin to animals. I'm supposed to believe they'll just sit and stay because a computer told them to?]
[Whatever. Not like I have a choice I suppose.]
[Alright. Here we g-]
["I won't make it."]
[Oh what now?]
[I looked up to see Ben looking at me with this thousand-yard stare. It honestly shook me a little. I peeked behind him and didn't see anything that was an immediate threat. He wasn't wounded or anything. What was he going on about?]
["Uh...wanna run that by me again?" I asked him.]
["Back to the checkpoint. I never make it. No matter what I try." He said sounding like he'd just fought a ten year war in the last two minutes.]
Everyone was immediately confused as to what he's talking about, he sounded like he had lost all hope, despite not actually doing anything.
["What are you talking about? I'm just about to activate the defenses." I slowly told him. Was he going insane? He seemed fine just a second ago.]
[He shook his head. "There's a one minute delay before the defenses come back online after you hit that button. The noise of the automated defenses attract the monsters. They know someone is in this room, they know it couldn't have been turned on anywhere else."]
[...What? What was he going on about?!?]
"Wait, how did he know that?!" Seviathan asked, saying the same question that was on everyone's mind.
They all watched the two of them with intense accuracy and not once did they see Ben or Justin activated the button or heard any other noise, besides the squelching noises of the flesh monsters.
[He continued, "We make it down the stairs before we get rushed from both the left and the right hallway. Even if I warn you and we both have these things charged and ready to fire when they round the corner, there's just too many of them. They either kill us or start to drag us away somewhere. To a window or something I guess, I don't know. Never stayed long enough to find out."]
["Dude you're not making any sense right now. What the fuck are you going on about?" I asked him. I couldn't even wrap my head around what he was saying.]
"Is this guy crazy? Or is he insane?" Husk asked, for once he didn't drank any alcohol, so he knows that he was hearing correctly. Either Ben was an insane man rambling on about things that are irrelevant, or he's actually experienced it before.
[He ignored me and kept going. "I did try to go on my own, back down in that security room. Thought you were crazy for wanting to come up here. But I couldn't hide. They always found me eventually," he rambled on, "So I went back and followed you. We get to this point just fine and then all hell breaks loose. I tried getting back to that checkpoint every which way I could, but I never make it. There just isn't enough time. I'll be honest, I tried using you as bait a few times. Almost worked once. You even offered to stay behind a couple of times so I could get to the checkpoint before you hit the button. And I appreciate that, really. But 079 either can't or won't open up the checkpoint until the system reboots. And when we go together I'm just not fast enough to make it to that door." He then gave a weak grin and said, "You however are one quick motherfucker. You have a chance. You have a connection to the Gestalt, weak as it may be. It will be the key to your survival."]
Lucifer and Satan's eyes widened as they heard the last part.
'The Gestalt? That's impossible! How did the human manage to be it's host?!' Lucifer can't believe it as he thought the last one had died centuries ago.
'The spiral Gestalt. A strange phenomenon that makes its user knows exactly what's going to happen with precise accuracy, it's deeply concerning if a human managed to be it's be it's host.' Satan glanced at Lucifer before he thought, 'It seems that this will also be something that needs to be discussed, among other things to be considered.'
[He reached out and before I could stop him he put his hands on my head and started whispering words I couldn't understand.]
[What was he doing?]
Paimon, Stolas and Andrealphus's beaks dropped as they know that language, it's a very ancient demonic language that only certain Goetic demons know.
'The ancient demonic language, how did this human managed to speak it? This is simply impossible!' Paimon was fuming at the fact that their sacred language was discovered by a human of all creatures.
'That's not possible, there's no way that any human was able to discover it, let alone translate it's language!' Stolas thought, as his feathers were puffing out.
'Just who the hell is this human?! If the SCP Foundation manage to learn it's language, does that mean they know our existence?!!' Andrealphus was seriously going to have words with Stolas if they were going to have an intermission after all this.
[What was this feeling? I wanted to laugh. Cry. Scream in rage. I was in pain. I was experiencing a pleasure beyond my imagination. Everything was white and black and redredredsored-]
["GET THE FUCK OFF ME!" I cried out pushing him away. "WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU JUST DO TO ME?!?"]
["I just gave you the key to getting out of here. It's the reason I'm alive after all this time. It's why the Foundation has me here instead of with the other D-Class. Congratulations, you are now the host of the Spiral Gestalt."]
"The fuck does that mean? Just what the fuck is he talking about?!" Blitzø yelled, as he along with mostly everyone else was very confused about what Ben just said.
"Let's just say that it's something that will greatly help Justin out." Frost said, while giving Lucifer a side glance.
Lucifer noticed it, and glared at the child-like god.
Alastor looks at the interaction, 'Hmm, the Spiral Gestalt, if it's something that Lucifer is involved, then it must certainly be of importance. I look forward to keep watching this spectacle, who knows, maybe I'll get some answers out of all this.' He chuckled darkly, scaring some nearby demons.
["The fucking what?!?" I was still coming down from that high/hate/pleasure/love what the fuck just happened to me?!?]
[He sighed. "There's no time, and those creatures probably just heard you shouting. So cliff notes version: You ever have that feeling of walking into a room and just knowing something was wrong? Or better example, that feeling of someone watching you when you can't possibly know they're there? That's the Gestalt whispering to those who have some form of connection to the creature. It is time. It is reality. And now it is in you. Guard it and it will keep you safe."]
Lilith and the rest of the Seven Deadly Sins have heard of the Spiral Gestalt, though they never actually knew what it's capabilities, but they know for certain that it's something very ancient and powerful.
And the fact that Justin is the new host of the Spiral Gestalt, seems like there is more to the story that meets the eye.
'The spiral Gestalt, I have heard Luci talked about it sometimes though I never actually knew what it really meant after all this time.' Lilith thought, with questions and theories on her mind.
'You have got to be kidding me, now this whole situation just got even more fucking complicated.' Mammon frowned deeply, while eating some more popcorn.
'The Spiral Gestalt, I almost forgot about it after all this time. I would have never thought that it has a human host this time.' Asmodeus thought.
Beelzebub sighed, 'This is going to cause me a headache after this.'
Both Belphegor and Leviathan were also deeply concerned as they both wondered what was going to happen to the human.
The rest of the demons however were very confused as to what he was saying and they were making their own theories.
And they will get their answer soon enough, though not the way they all imagined.
[I couldn't think. Where had all this come from? One second he's a regular D-Class and now all of a sudden he's an SCP? Or host of one? None of this was making any sense! I had so many questions. I was so tired of not knowing what was happening. I could feel my freshly rebuilt mental state starting to shatter again.]
[The sound of roaring and flesh on metal signified that wasn't going to happen. Without another word Ben reached to the keyboard and pressed Y, deactivating the safety protocols. He shoved some kind of journal in my hand and said, "When we get to the intersection, you hold the right hallway and I hold the left. Don't even aim, you won't have time. Just shoot. When I say so, you need to sprint like hell to the checkpoint. You can make it. You did it once already."]
[With that he sprinted out of the room with me on his tail. There was no time to process everything that was just said. The roaring was getting louder, and we charged up our respective H.I.D's as we nearly leapt down the stairs. Snapping the weapons down our respective hallways I fired on the flesh right fucking in front of me holy shit reducing the monstrosity to a puddle of goop on the floor. I could still see faces peering out from the puddle, arms forming from it reaching for me. Jesus Christ it was already getting back up.]
Everyone was watching the screen with immense concentration, they all hoped that both Ben and Justin make it out of there alive.
Husk has a nagging feeling that something is going to be very wrong. Though, he can't say what but he knows for sure that one of them was going to die.
Sir Pentious was in awe of the high tech weapon's capabilities, so far it is the only thing capable of harming the flesh monstrosities, so he quickly scribbled the schematics of the weapon on his notepad.
[Charge. Aim. Shoot.]
[They're getting closer.]
[Charge. Aim. Shoot.]
[They're getting closer.]
[Charge. Aim. "GO!"]
[Like a bullet I shot off towards the checkpoint. What little difference my H.I.D. had on the advancement of the flesh was now gone, and I could hear that wet sticky tidal wave coming down the hallway right behind us.]
"Come on come on, you can do it." Angel Dust prayed that they will make it.
Everyone was doing the same thing as they all watched as Justin ran towards the gate with the flesh abominations right behind him.
[The checkpoint was closed.]
[I kept sprinting. Ben said I did this before, whatever that means. I had to keep going. Just keep running.]
[The checkpoint was still closed.]
[Come on 079, open up. You promised. You promised you told me I wouldn't be harmed you promised you promised you SLIDE NOW.]
[Like a baseball player I immediately dropped and slid just as the door opened. I just managed to fit through the small gap as the door was opening and right behind me I heard the wet slam of flesh as the monsters tried to all fit through the door at the same time. Firing one last time at the horde blocking the door destroyed just enough for it to close back up.]
Immediately, they all celebrated as soon as the door closed with Justin making out of there safely.
"Yes, they made it! They made it!" Charlie cheered in happiness.
"Quick one that Justin fellow is." Alastor said, not even bothering to mentioned that someone was missing.
"Wait, where is the other human?" Sallie Mae asked, which was noticed by the rest of the demons, that Ben was missing.
[I needed a moment to breath, my heart feeling like it would pop at any second. We made it. We made it we made it-]
[I made it.]
Charlie gasped as she slowly realised that Ben was missing and Justin is the only one on the other side of the door.
Soon she started to cry again, at the fact that Ben sacrificed his life to save Justin.
Vaggie was also deeply saddened with Ben's sacrifice, as she tried to console Charlie.
Moxxie was horrified to learn that Ben was not there and most likely about to be turned into one of those monsters as he tried to stop himself from bursting into tears as Millie placed a hand on his shoulder in support.
Fizzarolli placed his robotic limbs on his mouth in horror, as he realised just what the human's fate is and starts to cry softly, while Asmodeus tries to comfort him.
Vortex's ears dropped as he wished the human have a better life in Hell, who knows, maybe he will meet this guy in the pride ring.
["I won't make it. No matter what I try. " The words echo in my mind as I climb back to my feet and look out the window just in time to see Ben struggling in vain as he's dragged back down the dark hallway.]
[How? How did he know he wouldn't make it? How could he be so confident that I would make it? How...how did I know to slide at that moment to fit under the door?]
[You can make it. You did it once already.]
Lucifer sighed, 'While he may be a human, his sacrifice was not in vain and I respect his decision to buy Justus some time despite knowing that he will die.' He smiled a little, knowing that his gift of free will wasn't all for naught.
Even Satan begrudgingly respected Ben's decision to sacrifice himself, though he wondered where the fuck is the other human.
[I slid down the wall, head in my hands. I could have saved him. Why didn't I stay back? We could have made it. We could have...no. No we couldn't have. He was right. I myself barely made it to the door, and that was with Ben holding the monsters back for just a few precious seconds.]
[I could feel tears start to form in my eyes. It was too much. Please let this be some kind of nightmare or maybe I'm trapped in an SCP and soon a rescue team will wake me up-]
{"Hello?"}
The sudden voice caught everyone off guard, some of them thought that it was the D-class's voice while others thought it was the scientist.
However, they were about to witnessed the second ability of SCP-001-A.
[I bolted off the floor. "Hello? Where are you?" It cried out. 079 was wrong! Someone else was here!]
["Please come back." The voice rasped out. It sounded wet, and heavy, and...it was coming from behind the checkpoint door.]
The fact that the voice was coming from the other side of the door, with all of the flesh monsters made them all feel tensed and some feel a bit scared.
["Please, I was so scared. I just wanted to find my wife. She found me, and brought us together in the light. It's so beautiful out there. Come outside, it's dangerous down there. The light will protect us from those monsters below." The voice rasped out. I knew that voice. I had just heard it praying in the security room as I asked it to stay put.]
The realisation that it was the scientists voice on the other end shocked and horrified everyone as they never even think that the flesh monsters can replicate or even have voices.
"WHAT THE FUCK DID WE JUST HEAR?!!"
"WAS THAT THE FUCKING SCIENTIST FROM EARLIER?!!"
"JUST WHY THE FUCK IS HE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FUCKING DOOR?!!"
"THEY CAN TALK?!!!!"
As the speakers soon blasted the same meme sound once more, everyone have to cover their ears for the fifth time.
"You have got to stop playing that!" Striker growled at Frost, "It's hurting my fucking ears!!"
Frost shrugged as heade a mental note to lower the volume next time, since he knows that he's going to use it often.
Once everyone's ears stop hurting and calmed down, their minds were trying to understand just what the seven rings of hell just happened.
"D-did we all hear that right? Did we j-just hear that scientists v-voice?" Verosika muttered, while still recovering from the effects of the speakers.
"I think we did, which means that he probably must have joined them." Crimson said, his voice slightly shaking.
"I guess he really did missed his wife so much that he'd rather die than live without her." Asmodeus said, his voice wavering as he tried to not imagine Fizzarolli in the scientist's place.
Oh you poor souls, this is only just the beginning.
[Oh no. Oh no. Nonononono.]
[I sprinted back to the control room. My heart still pounding like I was about to have a heart attack but I didn't care. I could hear the creature crying out for me behind me but I ignored the voice. Please let me be wrong. It's a trick, it's trying to trick me. He wouldn't be that stupid, right?]
[The door was open. It was supposed to be shut. It was supposed to be locked and safe and I told him not to open the damn door until we got back this idiot-]
[The room was empty.]
[No one was here.]
[Please.]
[Please no.]
Everyone was silent as they all mourned the deaths of the scientist and the D-class and were at least thankful that Justin was still alive.
Though, judging by the look on his face, that may not be the case though.
[I approached the computer still displaying 079's text box and typed:]
{How many Foundation personnel are left in this facility?}
{All Foundation personnel accounted for. Tesla Gates active and unknown entities have been repelled. Outer shielding engaged eliminating all possible sunlight threat. Unknown if durability will be sustainable long term, recommend remaining behind checkpoint A until further notice.}
{How many Foundation personnel are left in this facility?}
{All Foundation personnel accounted for.}
{Alert: Document from O5 Council pertaining to threat uploaded to Foundation archives ~3 minutes ago. Recommend reading as soon as possible.}
{How. Many. Foundation personnel. Are left in this facility?}
{Insult. Inquiry answered multiple times already.}
{What is the God damn number of people who are still alive?
{One.}
[One.]
They all looked at the screen as Justin was trying to comprehend the fact that he was the only survivor.
The demons feel immense pity for him as now he's the only human alive and trapped inside of the facility with the SCPs and the flesh creatures that were right outside.
Even Mammon, Crimson and Striker feel bad for the human, which says a lot considering that their hands aren't clean either.
Sallie Mae couldn't take it anymore and she started bawling as her parents tried to comfort her.
Frost let them take a minute to breathe before he continues to play the screen.
[I looked at the camera system currently showing a playback of the scientist I never got his name walking through the checkpoint almost a minute after me and Ben had gone through.]
[One.]
[I watched as he walked to the Light Containment Zone looking in vain for his wife.]
[One.]
[I watched as he ran and embraced a pile of flesh like he knew who it was and let the thing carry him all the way to a window on the Surface Level floor.]
[One.]
"So that's how he died huh?" Satan said, cursing the scientist for being so stupid, he knows that her wife is most likely turned and yet chose to die regardless, even worse that he's still stuck in this human form with no way to turn back.
Crimson scowled at the human's idiotic decision to kill himself, so what if his wife is dead? He should prioritise his own safety instead.
{Is there anyone left?}
{Clarify.}
{Anyone. Anywhere.}
{One moment...}
...
{Of the facility signals that make up the Foundation's network, only Site-19 seems to be still broadcasting.}
That statement brings a small spark of hope for Charlie. "At least there's still one facility functioning." She pointed out.
"True. But for how long though?" Alastor questioned her, "Those creatures are remarkably resilient, sooner or later they will find a way inside, like the facility poor Justus is located at."
Vaggie glared at the Radio Demon, cursing in Spanish as Charlie soon frowned once more.
[One facility. Nowhere near where I am.]
[Nowhere near Rachel.]
[One facility out of reach. They weren't coming for one survivor across the continent.]
[One survivor.]
[One.]
[I collapsed in a pile of tears and sobs, the reality of the situation setting in. No one was coming. No one was left.]
[No one.]
[Except me.]
Everyone was silent as they all watched Justin break down, crying over this whole situation and everyone and I mean everyone feels bad for him.
"Frost?" Frost turned to look at Charlie before she replied, "Is.... Is he going to be okay?"
Frost paused for a moment before he replied, "Yes, he'll be fine."
This brought a sense of relief to them, at least Justus will be alive, even with the other... roomates that are still lurking around in the facility.
[Had I still been paying attention, I would have noticed the alerts appearing on the main monitor:]
{Emergency Protocol Activated. Clearance Level Safeguards Removed. Full Access Granted.}
{Opening Current Iteration of File SCP-001.}
"So is it over?" Seviathan asked, wanting this show to end already.
"Well, don't you all want to see the reactions in Hell?" Frost asked, which caught the attention of everyone.
"What are you talking about? The sun is in the human world, Its rays can't reach Hell." Lucifer said, his eyes narrowed at the god.
"If you would all please turn the screen, you will have your answer." Frost's cryptic message unnerved everyone but did what he said and turned to look towards the screen.
[Lucifer Magne was feeling something he had not felt ever since he had been tossed out of heaven. Staring out on the horizon of his city in his realm should have filled him with a sense of ease. Looking out at the worms under his heel always managed to bring a grin to his face.]
[But not this time.]
[Something was wrong with this view.]
Everyone turned towards the King of Hell, to which the latter raised an eyebrow.
"What? Can't I have something to enjoy?" Lucifer asked, to which Charlie sighed and Lilith giggled softly.
["Everything okay darling?" His wife asked creeping up behind and wrapping her arms around his frame. "You seem tense."]
["Everything is just peachy my blossom. Just taking in the view." Lucifer replied still staring out at the city.]
["Well then, if everything is 'just peachy' I suppose you wouldn't have any interest in trying to give Charlotte a sibling." She purred into the ear of the Ruler of Hell before grabbing him by his collar and leading them back into their chambers.]
"MOM!!" Charlie yelled as she buried her face with her hands, feeling very embarrassed by her Mother's antics, much to the laughter of most demons.
Lilith giggled, "Well we have considered having a second child." Then she turned towards her husband and winked, "That is, if your father is up to the task."
Lucifer's face flushed red as Charlie groaned once more, causing everyone to laugh again.
[He loved his wife. And despite her constantly embarrassing the family name, Lucifer would do anything for his dear Charlotte. Even if she was a little...confused on how things work down here.]
[Redemption. Honestly.]
"Dad, we've talked about this remember." Charlie said, once the laughter has died down. "I still believe that every sinner deserves a second chance, and I will not give up on them."
Lucifer sighed, "Charlie, you need to understand that not everyone wants to change, and they deserve to stay in Hell for all the things they did." He looked at Alastor who smiled in return.
"Even so, some of them still have the capability to change, they just need to be... pushed in the right direction." Charlie retorted.
While most of the Sinners scoffed at what she's saying, Angel Dust though still wondered if he should still try to rehabilitate himself, now that his contact with Valentino is broken, he is free and he can do whatever he wants.
But... Angel dust looked at Husk who was drinking some more Vodka, maybe he should stay at the hotel for awhile, so that he doesn't have to suck dicks for the landlord to pay rent.
[Everything was as it should be, and maybe he was just worrying over nothing. Except for one problem.]
[After all his time of ruling Hell, he knew one thing. He knew that as long as humanity walked the Earth above there would always be sin and those sinners would constantly flow down into his domain. It seemed for every angel Heaven gained, ten sinners would be thrown from those pearly gates down to suffer in his realm.]
[The problem?]
[It had been 24 hours. Not one soul had fallen into Hell.]
[Not one.]
Everyone's eyes widened in shock as their jaws dropped as they all can't believe it, not one single soul had fallen into hell?!! That's impossible!!!!
"How? How is that possible? Didn't the Sun kill everyone?" Verosika asked in a small tone.
"Well..." Everyone turned to look at Frost who has a grim look on his face. "The sun just mutated into those creatures you see on the screen so they're technically still alive."
This revelation hits like a bomb as everyone explodes
"What?!!!!"
"I know it looks terrible but if you scream one more time I will turn on the screens again." Frost warned them.
Soon enough, they started to calm down but not before some of them had different reactions to this.
Charlie immediately started vomiting on her bucket while Vaggie just fainted in shock, Angel Dust, and Husk threw up their food/drinks, and Nifty just stared at the screen with a dead look on her face.
Alastor has a look of shock on his face along with Rosie, Velvette, and Valentino. Vox immediately crashed out, and Katie and Tom fainted, Cherri Bomb and Sir Pentious jaws dropped in horror.
The I.M.P crew were also shocked by this, Blitzø dropped his cup in horror, Moxxie and Millie looked on shock and Loona has her fur stand on end.
Stolas has his feathers stand on end, and Octavia has fainted, Andrealphus and Paimon have their beaks dropped.
Verosika and her crew have a look of shock on their faces Wally has a look of despair on his eyes, Striker and Crimson have their eyes widened, Fizzarolli and Vortex just collapsed in their seats. Seviathan, Helsa and Fin didn't know what to say.
The Seven Deadly Sins have various reactions as well, Asmodeus has his eyes wide open, Mammon and Beelzebub dropped their foods, Belphegor and Leviathan just couldn't believe it and Satan has a look of disbelief on his face.
Lilith covered her mouth in horror and Lucifer just stared at the screen, unable to comprehend what the sun had done.
They now realised that the Sun is even more dangerous than they thought, and they have no idea it's only going to get even more worse.
["STOLAS YOU FEATHERED BASTARD THIS WAS NOT OUR DEAL!" screamed the founder of Hell's best (and only) hit agency to target those who still walked the plane of the living. I.M.P had just started to gain popular attraction, and for a small moment Blitzo had been on top. He had risen above his peers, had done what other imps either couldn't or wouldn't. He had actually made something of himself. And all he had to do was bang a Goetic Prince once a month to keep his ticket that allowed his company to operate.]
[Except there was one problem.]
[That ticket he had to whore himself out for?]
[Yeah, it wasn't working anymore.]
"What?!! What do you mean that the book won't work?!" Blitzø yelled, which caught the attention of Paimon and Andrealphus.
"Well, the book probably must viewed Earth as a danger towards you and itself so that probably explain it." Stolas explained.
"Well then how the fuck am I supposed to make any money if all the humans have turned into gross monsters!!" Blitzø yelled.
"Ehem." Paimon's voice stunned the I.M.P crew, "Blitzø was it? You and your crew will pay for your crimes for having a grimoire for illegal use, and my idiotic son will be punished for this just to have some ....debauchery."
Paimon turned to look at Frost who was glaring at him to try anything, "Of course, once we get out of here first."
Stolas looked down in shame, while Octavia gasped and Andrealphus grins evily.
["Blitzy dear, I assure you that the Grimoire is not the issue at hand." Cooed the owl demon from the other end of the phone Blitzo was coming very close to smashing again. "From the sounds of things you are trying to open a portal to the human world in a place the Grimoire is viewing as a danger to both its user and itself. Just pick a new location and-"]
["I HAVE! I HAVE CLIENTS WITH TARGETS RANGING FROM CANADA TO RUSSIA AND THE DAMN BOOK ISN'T TAKING ME TO ANY OF THEM! I AM NOT PLOWING YOUR FEATHERED ASS FOR SOME BULLSHIT READING MATERIAL! IT'S BEEN A WHOLE DAY AND WE HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO DO ONE DAMN CONTRACT!"]
"So the Earth really has gone to shit huh?" Vortex said, "Well I hope that we aren't there when all of this happen."
Verosika and her crew all nodded, praying that they were safe and sound in the Lust Ring rather than the Earth which has become a literal hellhole than Hell itself.
["Oh darn. What a shame." Muttered a hellhound in flat tone lounging at her desk currently tapping away on her phone. "We have a day off. Whatever will we do?" Next to her listening in on the conversation currently taking place in their boss's office was possibly the only happily married couple you could find in all of Imp City. Moxxie and Millie were used to days of work being wasted thanks to Blitzo's antics, but normally it was his own damn fault. The rare occasion they were actually trying to get work done and something was wrong with the book? Not good. Moxxie was so nerve wracked he didn't even call Loona out on the fact that even when they were on a job she still didn't do shit around here. Every day was practically an off day for her and he honestly resented her for that.]
["Cheer up Mox! You've been wanting some time off forever! Until the book starts working again, we might as well take advantage of the situation!" Millie tried comforting her husband. She was rubbing his back trying to be as supportive as possible, she knew how easily stressed he can get. "We can go out on that dinner date we've been talking about for a month!"]
[A deep breath and a quick smooch from his wife calmed Moxxie's jets for the moment. "You're right, you're right. Come on, let's head home and get ready." He peaked into the office and tried shouting over his boss; "WE'RE HEADING OUT FOR THE DAY SIR! LET US KNOW WHEN YOU GET THE BOOK WORKING!"]
["FUCK OFF MOXXIE I'M ON THE PHONE!"]
[Yeah that sounded about right.]
"You should treat your employees with more respect mister Blitzø" Charlie said.
"I can treat my employees however I want princess." Blitzø said, gritting his teeth.
["GOOD NIGHT SIR! DON'T BE TOO MAD WITH YOUR BOYFRIEND!" Yelled Millie over Moxxie's shoulder.]
["HE'S NOT MY FUCKING BOYFRIEND STOP CALLING HIM THAT!" Screamed Blitzo.]
"Millie!" Moxxie looked at his wife in shock as she just said that right in front of Stolas's father.
"What? I didn't say it, that was the other me." She explained, which was technically true.
Paimon's eyes narrowed at this statement, Stolas is happily married with Stella so this Imp shouldn't interfered with Goetic affairs.
["SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Cried the hellhound before grabbing the imp couple and throwing them out the front door. "Go be wholesome and shit literally anywhere else." She grumpily told them before slamming the door in their face. She walked over to the couch to lounge while her Dad screamed at his boyfriend on the phone. She wasn't too worried about the book. Every day it seemed something happened that fucked with I.M.P be it one of their own fuck ups or one of the many enemies they had made literally every week trying to get some revenge on the company.]
[What was one more headache in their list of fucking problems?]
After that last statement, the screen turns black and the words, 'Chapter 2: The Broken One' appeared on the screen.
"Why I say I say thank goodness that it's finally over." Wally said, as everyone agreed with the imp.
"This is a lot to take in." Lucifer put a hand over his face, the flesh monsters, the Spiral Gestalt, the Broken Sun, and the Imps and the Grimoire, this is going to be one huge mess.
"Yes, I agree." Frost said as he clapped his hands together, "So! As a reward for watching this segment, I'm finally going to give you some answers on SCP-001!"
Everyone was stunned by this, finally they will get some answers on how to deal with this and hopefully stop it from happening in the first place.
Soon enough, that small flickering hope will be crushed by the despair that will soon follow.
