Chapter 10.5: Omake V1

About the Author and the World of Earumnia

Hello everyone, this is the conclusion of The Knight of Prophecy's first volume and first Arc. I've decided to do this after every volume to make it more interesting and for you guys to know who is the author, what does he wants, what's his goal, and the real meaning of this novel. In addition, I will also add an extra short skit at the end so look forward to it.

Who is the Author?

To be perfectly honest, I'm not planning on giving out my name in public but anyone can still ask in private. It's not as classified as everyone thinks, afterall, I'm not that famous and interesting.

I started writing back when I was in grade school. I started from writing essays, letters, and poems, but when I reached highschool, that's when I started to take my writing into another level. Competing in writing essays, journals, school articles, poems and many more.

Around 2015, one of my bestfriends started writing stories in wattpad, Zy. He introduced me the writing flatform and at first I'm not interested. I started from reading various novels from well known authors like Bluemaiden, KiB, Yanajin, Maxinejiji, Ibarra, Jonaxx, and IDangs.

I also started to read my bestfriend's novel. At first I find it awkward and cliche because of the plot he chose, but I when saw him having fun sharing his work, it piqued my interest. He asked me if I wanted to write story with him and I gladly agreed, and that's when we started our first story together, which is the Crows Zero, and up until now I'm still writing.

Where did Earumnia and The Knight of Prophecy came from? When did it started?

My novel The Knight of Prophecy started when I dreamt of something so much similar to the story. I don't know why, but I really did dreamt of it. I told my friend about my dream from start to finish and ask her what does she think if I write it as a novel.

She highly encouraged me to write the novel and that's when I started to write the draft about the plot of the story, from start to finish. I showed it to Zy and asks his impression regarding the draft I wrote. He said it was good and I should start writing it immediately, and that's where it all started.

Why did I call the world in The Knight of Prophecy, Earumnia?

It's not actually very complex, to be perfectly honest, it's quite simple. When I was thinking about what should I name my new created world, many complex ideas came into my head but I want to keep it as simple as possible.

I tried many combinations of words in different languages and that's when I think about, what if I just combine the name of the Earth to one of my favorite anime characters? At first I decided to name it Earomori but I didn't like it that much so I tried and tried again until I came up with the name Earumnia, from the word Earth and Rumia from the anime Akashic Records, I just added letter n after the m to make it sounds more otherworldly.

Why did I create the world of Earumnia and the story The Knight of Prophecy?

I already answered when did I started writing, but now I'm answering why did I decided to write and why did I continue writing.

It's not that simple at all. I've already write many novels and poems in the past but my reason in creating this new world is different.

I didn't create this world, the world of Earumnia just for me to escape reality. I created this world to bring back the emotions that I lost because of the harsh reality. I too wanted to escape reality but I know that no matter what I do, and no matter how hard I try, I won't be able to, and that's one of the cons of being a realist. No matter what you do, there are things that is just impossible to happen, and the only way to escape is death.

I know that... I'm aware of that fact... That is why I created this world. The world based on my own desire, the world I wanted to live in, the world that I wish to exist one day to the point that, if I were to reincarnate right now, I would wish to be reincarnated into this world.

The world that I created may be scary, it may be unfair, but I know in my own heart, I believed that it is way better than the world that we live in full of irrationality, inequality, greed, envy, and judgemental hypocrites.

And if I were to be reincarnated into my own world, I don't want to become the main character. I wanted to become the observer who watches them from above from the start of their adventure up to the time where they will lay down their weapons and live in peace. I just want to watch and learn from them, and ask myself, if I were them, which path should I choose?

Both reality and the world I created has an unforseen future which noone and even I, the creator can dictate. And if the world that I created will one day exist in this universe, I want to watch how it will end up.

Extra skit 1: Roland and his Frist Mission

Roland's pov

"Die you monster!" I screamed after I slashed the first monster that I hunt for my first mission as a hero.

As a fifteen year old hero, I'm not quite sure how should I finish this mission, like is this it? Just this one monster?

Brother Luther, Merlin, and Lionheart is still following me as my support, this is my first mission afterall, and I'm kinda nervous.

I tried to check out the surrounding and-Shit... I saw a glowing eyes...

"H-Hey everyone... I think I saw something..." with their curiosity, Merlin, Luther, and Lionheart carefully walk towards the bushes near me.

I also took a peek because I didn't see what it actually was so I wanted to look- Oh shit!

"Ruuuuun!" Goddamn, that's a dragon! I don't want to die just yet! I just became a hero yesterday, I still haven't prove anything yet!

"Hey, don't!" I heard Luther scream but I Lionheart, Merlin, and I continue to run! I'm not going to waste my life fighting that thing! "Don't run! I know this dragon!" I stopped and looked back at him and saw him and the dragon being friendly with each other.

Oh... I see, so that's how it is!

The three of us run back towards Luther when we saw Lionheart tripped and fell to the ground! Pfft! That's so funny!

"Come on Lionheart, you tripped by yourself!" Merlin said while laughing at Lionheart who looks like he hurt himself.

"That hurts quite a bit." He mumbles while dusting himself off, but something caught my attention.

What was that on his face? It looks like a mud or something.

"Lionheart, there's something on your face. It looks like a mud but it doesn't look like it." I said and pointed out the dirt on his face.

"Huh? Where?" He asked.

"There! On your left cheek" Merlin said and pointed to out.

He brushed it off with his hands and try to look at it.

"Smell it, or taste it to see what it was." Luther suggested which made me a bit cautious but Lionheart seems like he's about to do it any minute now.

Hmm... it's brown and looks like mud... we're in the forest but I don't see any mud puddle here, it's been a while since it last rain afterall. So what could it be- No... No way!

"Lionheart, don't tast that! It was a Dragon's-" But before I complete my sentence, Lionheart already took a taste at that disgusting thing...

"It taste odd..." he stated...

"Well ofcourse... It was a dragon's poop..."

His face turns white as if he have seen a ghost and started to vomit, Merlin tried to console him but it seems like Lionheart will be traumatized for quite a bit starting today...

*sigh* if only he allow me to finish my sentence before tasting it... Poor Lionheart...

*End of the first skit*
