No Pirate Festival

5:26 p.m.

At Loguetown's Pirate King's Execution Site.

The Execution site was decorated to extreme perfection. Wherever you turn your head, you will see a flower that illuminates the beauty of this exquisite square enriched by its remarkable history.

Making the Execution site filled with bustle and life that it never saw since the day that the Pirate King Gold Roger was executed.

The square's street was overflowing with numerous people with different backgrounds, from the many travelers, sightseers, and nobles who came here after they heard about or were invited to this grand festival To the merchants and no-name criminals who saw an opportunity to get some berries.

Making Loguetown the busiest it has ever been since a long time ago.

All of this was planned by Mayor Josef. Who wanted to use this celebration as a chance to show the world that East Blue is at the beginning of a new era where pirates no longer exist.

And where is a better place to start this new Era than the place that started the Golden Age of Pirates.

So he didn't just squander taxpayer's money on the Execution site alone, but also every street and corner of LogueTown was decorated. Making the already stunning streets even more gorgeous.

At the Execution site, In front of the Execution Platform, there was a large elevated platform that was surrounded by many round tables that numerous influential and powerful people in the East blue sat on. From the Goa Kingdom princess Sarie Nantokanette and her fiance Sterry to Mayor Genzo of Conomi islands.

(A.N: if you guys are wondering who those two from the Goa Kingdom are or you have already guessed it, they are Sterry, Sabo's brother, and the princess who will make him king P.S: Yes, Genzo is the Mayor of Nami's entire Island not just their village, if we could go there I will show you what happen there. Ok, now let's go back to the story)

Those people were the ones that Mayor Josef, Mr. Sniper, and Mr. Mountain personally invited to this Grand Festival.

On the largest table near the elevated platform, Mr. Mountain, Mr. SquareGlasses(Demian), Mayor Josef, and many influential people sat there. LittleFinger didn't come since she had some work to do.

At some point, Mayor Josef finished talking with the crowd surrounding him. He then walked to the elevated platform and started to give a speech.

"I would like to thank you all for coming to the festival, and I would like to thank the valiant and brave Baroque Works agents and Mr. Mountain. who made all this possible."

Clap! Clap! Clap!

The crowd claps their hands and smiles warmly at Mr.Mountain and Demian. Who smiled and waved their hands calmly. When Mayor Josef saw everybody calm down, he continued his speech.

"They are the ones who stood up for the masses and fought valiantly against the vicious pirates whom even the Marines didn't dare to go after for an unbelievable dream of a world free of pirates.

If you had told me that an organization would come to the East Blue to capture all the pirates one year ago, I would have laughed, thinking that either you were crazy or joking since that is how unbelievable their dream is."

The crowd laughed when they heard the latter half of his speech since they felt the same.

"But after Five months of watching them swiftly and efficiently take care of the largest and most vicious pirates in the East Blue, hope slowly started to fill my heart.

Hope that one day under Baroque Work's protection, the East Blue will be free of Pirates! Where islands, cities, towns, and villages could live without worrying about a pirate attack! And Where Merchants and whoever wants sail could just sail without the need of worry about a pirate attack!"

"..."

The crowd grew silent when they heard that. Even Bryan and Demain were quiet in this part of the speech as they focused on every word the Mayor uttered.

The crowd could see a little bit of this future that the Mayor was speaking about because this time, when they sailed to the Lougetown, they didn't need to worry about their journey or the safety of their Island since they knew that Baroque Works would protect them. When Mayor Josef saw some of their's faces, he asked.

"Judging from everyone's expression, you all agree with me after sailing here. How did it feel when you sailed without worrying about pirates attacking you or worrying about your Island."

Before anyone in the crowd could utter a word, Genzo expressed loudly.

"It felt soothing and surreal. Surreal to think that I or anybody could sail through the Sea without worrying about pirates attacking them in this Era."

"Exactly! Hahaha! The calmness and surreal feeling you can currently feel in the Sea is unimaginable! It feels great to sail in the ocean while knowing that your chance of living is greater than ever before!

Just think of how this will affects our Economy now that we don't need to calculate pirate attacks as a loss! How many merchants who didn't venture out of their Islands become of their fear of the pirates would finally set out to sail! And how many adventures could finally venture to the Deserted or uninhabited Island seeking pirate treasure!

And Finally, How we the East Blue, could eventually become a ONE Sea that shares the same culture and Economy, not fragmented into many small Islands and cultures like we are now! This is what East Blue could become in the future with the Help of Baroque Works."

The crowd grew silent at what they heard. They couldn't believe what Mayor Josef said could ever become a reality, but remembering their journey to Loguetown, made them consider this future.

Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap!

"What an incredible vision! I want to be part of the people who makes it into reality." Princess Sarie Nantokanette said.

Genzo's clapping and what Princess Sarie Nantokanette expressed brought the crowd back to the present. The group slowly joined in with applause by clapping or cheering in excitement when they imagined the great future that Mayor Josef spoke about. Until Mayor Josef raised his hand to calm the crowd and said.

"If you all want a hand in making this future into a reality, then I would like to introduce you to Mr.Mountain and The man who is currently leading Baroque Works in their grand crusade against the pirates! Give him a warm welcome!"

Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap!

The crowd did What Mayor Josef instructed them to do. They clapped with all their might while cheering loudly until Mr. Mountain arrived on the stage.

'Look like everything is going as planned,' Mr. Mountain thought as he took the mic from Mayor Josef and looked at Demain, who nodded.

Since he learned about Baroque Works dabbling in the illegal trade, he has been thinking of ways to stop it without slowing down Baroque Works' growth.

While brainstorming many methods to make it possible with Demian, Nathen, Abigail, and LongNose, they devised this plan.

"I would like to thank you all for this warm welcome, and I want to thank everyone interested or invested in making our dream into reality.

But unfortunately, for that to happen, we will need your help if we want it to occur. Because currently, Baroque Works is facing two major problems in its way. And it is Money and Limited active agents we currently have."

Many expressions soured when they realized that this was all a scheme by Baroque Works to take their money.

Some of them even stood up and started walking away from the square while cursing under their breath. Many gradually followed their example.

"Let's leave, my princess. Those people only want to steal our money," Sterry snarled with a look of anger and disgust when he realized Mr. Mountain's plan was to take 'His' money. He looked at Bryan with contempt as he thought. 'And here I used to respect you.'

"No, let's sit and see what they have to offer since we wouldn't lose anything." Sarie Nantokanette said with glowing eyes that carried interest and infatuation within them as she gazed at Bryan, The man who stole her heart with his manly looks and deep tone. Ahhh, How she wished she could take him to Goa as a pet.

Bryan's body shivered as if somebody was planning something sinister toward him. He ignored it and stood there without stopping those who wanted to leave since the ones he wanted to stay didn't leave. So after some time, he continued saying.

"All of you might know or wonder why the marines didn't hunt all the pirates like we are doing, and it is because of the hefty loss of money and human lives they would need to pay for it to happen.

The loss would be too great for the small profit they might gain, and that is if the Yonko's didn't stand up to stop them.

Our crusade against the pirates was initially supposed to be slow and gradual as we took our time. But I and My Partner Mr. Hunter couldn't just sit in Eastormel Fort while people were getting massacred all around the East Blue!

So we started a grand crusade against the pirates, which has shown remarkable results! We have killed or captured 16 percent of the pirates in just a span of One week and Four days!"

Mr. Mountain paused for a moment for everyone to process what he said.

"What!"

"Impossible!"

And when they did, their eyes popped out of their skull, and their Jaws dropped to the ground with disbelief coloring their face. Which Mr. Mountain used this to his advantage as he continued informing them of Baroque Work's incredible feats

"Even if you don't believe me, I have evidence and proof that it is true that in just One Week and Four Days, we have apprehended almost a quarter of the pirates in the East Blue!

And this is all without the proper amount of equipment, firearms, food supply, and men. Imagine how fast we could get rid of those pirates with your help! It wouldn't even take one month before this dream became a reality!

That is why-"

Bryan paused in the middle of the speech because he saw Miss.TinyGlasses standing among the public with an expression of fright and apprehension.

'Look like the intel from Armada island has arrived,' Bryan thought. Afterward, He looked at everyone's expression, and from the looks of it, they were curious about whether to invest, so he ended the speech abruptly.

"Thank you all for listing to me. If anyone of you is interested, you could talk with either Mayor Josef or My Assistant, Mr. SquareGlasses, who has all the data that I've spoken about and is also responsible for the finance of Baroque Works."

And just after saying that. Bryan promptly left the platform and walked out of the square with TinyGlasses following him without talking with the crowd.

Who got curious about what Mr.Mountain spoke about. Almost all of them wanted to talk with Bryan, but unfortunately, he left swiftly. And so they went to converse with Mayor Josef and Demian. Who took them to a luxury resort near the Execution Site to conduct the negotiation and give them all the information that the Merchant and the Nobles asked for with excellent efficiency.

'With this, we have secured a stable source of cash to help us in the impending war and a card that would help stop LittleFinger's illegal trade.' Demain thought with a faint smile as he conversed with all investors, who grew more excited when they learned of the benefits and returns they would get.

I just want to inform you that the next chapter might be released one day later than usual so expect it 3 days later.

I'm planning to make an Auxiliary where the straw hats and the main and side character's ages, Baroque Works structure and name of every agent, and the location we went to.
