"Huff... Sob... Huff... Sob... Why?" Coby asked as he lay on the floor with tears and snot dripping out of his ugly mug with his mouth shaking. He couldn't understand why this happened or what LittleFinger did to him.
For a moment, they were talking about joining Baroque Works, and next, the whole place was glowing while he was in excruciating pain.
LittleFinger looked coldly at him while wiping her hand as she said, "... You know too much."
"Sob... know too much?" Coby said with confusion and pain in his quivering voice.
LittleFinger stared coldly at Coby while saying. "Yes, you might've realized it by now. If not, who knows when you will connect the dots and realize Baroque Works' True Face," Her voice was devoid of emotion.
Crack!
"..." Coby lowered his head as tears blurred his vision. The things he has been denying came to him, The collars and chains, Poppoko's words, the way the agents treated the pirates, Killing pirates just because they resisted, the tattoos, LittleFinger's confused look when she heard about Baroque Works Court of justice.
Crack!
Everything came back like a furious punch to the gut as He realized everything he denied or made excuses for. It was the undeniable truth.
Crack!!
The truth that Baroque Works... Is working in the Slave Trade and that they aren't warriors of justice as they portray themselves as...
Crack!!
"Huff... Huff... Huff..." Coby's body started to shake violently as the light in his eyes slowly started to dim and distinguish.
CRACK!!!
"Huff... Sob... Sob.." Tears started to fall down his face as he realized what a joke he was to think he could join Baroque Works and accomplish his dreams. LittleFinger must have been laughing in the inside when she heard that he wanted to join them...
Shatter!!!
"Ahhh!" Coby started sobbing loudly with all his might. He was unable to accept this was Baroque Work's True Color.
Where is the justice that they spew out of their mouth that enticed him and many people to adore and love them!
Bang! Bang!
"Ahhh!" Coby hit his head against the ground twice with all the strength his body could muster as he descended into madness. The news was too much of a shock to the poor boy, who thought that his suffering was finally over and that he could finally fulfill his dreams...
Bang! BANG!!
"Ahhh! My Dream!" Coby hit his head so hard that he wounded his forehead and made blood fly all over the ground. The mere thought of his dream filled the boy with rage, sorrow, betrayal, and more emotion that pushed him to his limits.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
To the point that he couldn't contain it any longer and released it by harming himself since he felt something was restraining him from hurting LittleFinger.
"Enough!" LittleFinger said after she had had enough of watching him hurting himself. The Seal in Coby's chest activated and stopped the boy from harming himself.
'Hahahaha... That's right, I'm no longer free to do whatever I want with my body... Hahahaha, ' Coby thought as he chuckled bitterly.
LittleFinger ignored his maddened laughter and said, "As your owner, I command you not to say, write, hint, or think of telling anyone of a Baroque Works' involvement in Slave, Drugs, Weapon trade, or what you saw and will see in the coming days." LittleFinger paused for a moment to let it sink.
'What? They aren't in just the Slave trade!' Coby's stopped laughing and raised his head to see LittleFinger's cold face.
This broke his broken expression even further when he realized it was true. LittleFinger continued coldly when she saw that he understood.
"If you break those commands, your heart will hurt you until either you stop trying, or your heart clogs up, and you die..."
"Ahh...." Coby yelled in pain as the seal on his chest started to glow red. A tiny piece of it broke off and started digging deep into Coby's chest until it rested on his heart and gradually took the shape of a man crying while covering his mouth with both hands. (A.N: the tattoo looks like the monkey who cover his mouth)
Slowly the pain left the pink-haired boy leaving him breathing heavily as he lay on the ground. On the floor, trying to understand what LittleFinger had done to him.
But unfortunately, he didn't have any more strength to talk as his vision started to go black, his consciousness slowly slipping into darkness.
"Starting today, you are a slave. And as a slave, you are no longer considered a human but an object. So any privilege or courtesy that applies to a human doesn't apply to you anymore... So take this as advice for entertaining me. Don't show too much emotion in front of your new owner, or else who knows what they might do to you."
'For entertaining you?' Coby thought as he tried to clench his teeth and fist, only to fail and slip into deeper darkness.
"..." LittleFinger stood there for a little while looking at the little kid who she had just sealed his fate into a life of slavery. She didn't know why but her chest stung a little bit when she looked at him, so she stopped and went back to work.
As she tries to bury the guilt that she felts for the first time since working here. She came upon the report about the ship from the Grandline getting raided.
'Sigh... is this Karma?' LittleFinger thinks as she gazes at the unconscious little boy.
....
Back to the present.
"..." Coby stares at the ceiling as he stops crying.
After being knocked unconscious, He was brought to this cell in Reformation center number 3. one of the many centers that specialized in reforming the slaves' personalities with time making them the best slave a master would ever want.
From what he gathered, there are two stages.
The First stage is the basics and where he is currently at.
In this stage, they are taught how to be courteous and serve their owner in the morning. And the evening, they were taught how to fight to protect or entertain their owner.
The second stage. Where Baroque Works starts to modify and reform the slaves' personalities into the perfect servants, soldiers, or anything else B.W deems fit.
After these two stages, the slaves are considered fit to be shipped to auctions all over the East Blue, where the bidder buys want wherever they desire.
"Are you alright?" Coby's thoughts were interpreted by the voice of someone he recognizes to be Poppoko. (A.N: The fat man Luffy punches in the first episode)
"..." Coby didn't say anything but stare at the ceiling since he wasn't alright.
"...Yeah, that was a silly question," Poppoko said as he went back to staring at the ceiling in silence.
"...."
The two sat in their cells, staring at the ceiling quietly until it was broken by Coby asking a question that had been on his mind since coming here.
"Poppoko... do you think we will be a slave forever?"
"..." Poppoko didn't say anything at the beginning but stared at the ceiling and then said softly as his lips quivered a sightly, "I... I don't know."
"...." His answer made them descend into silence once again and stare at the roof, each with their own thoughts.
"Hey Coby..." Poppoko said in a soft voice.
"What?"
"I... I'm sorry for how I treated ya in the past, I was a jerk, and I realize it now." His real emotions could be felt through his voice which shook a the beginning. Making Coby realize that the man wasn't joking around.
"..." Even after realizing that Poppoko was genuine, Coby didn't say anything since he still couldn't forgive him after remembering how much Poppoko harmed him physically or mentally.
"If ya hate me, it is alright. I just wanted to take this out of my chest." Poppoko said when he didn't hear anything from the pink-haired boy, he knew that it wouldn't be easy to get his forgiveness, but he still needed to say it.
These Five days felt like Karma's retribution to him since he was beaten and insulted the entire day for being disabled. It reminded him of the days he and the other men ganged up to beat or curse at Coby.
So he wanted to apologize before they get separated or...
".... I don't hate you." Coby's voice interrupted Poppoko's dark thoughts.
"Huh, really! Well, damn! Here I thought ya did. Hahaha..." Poppoko broke into laughter when he realized that the boy didn't hate him. after calming down, he said forlornly, "Ya are a good kid, ya know that, right?"
"Ahh..." Coby yelled in pain as his ears started to ring. He heard footsteps and a muffled voice speaking in a distinct.
"Coby! Are ya Okay" Poppoko yelled while standing up.
"Huff... Huff... I'm alright. It's just my ears..." Coby said as the pain slowly subsided.
"Phew... You scared me." Poppoko said as he went back to sitting.
"Poppoko? Why are you sitting? Didn't you hear the agents' footsteps?"
"Huh? No, I didn't hear their footsteps. Besides, how did ya know that I was sitting?" What Coby said perplexed Poppoko, who didn't hear any footsteps.
"What? I definitely heard their footsteps, and I heard you sit?" Coby grew confused by Poppoke's reply since it was pretty loud when the fat man sat. But before Poppoke could say anything.
Ting! Ting! Ting! Ting!
"Wake up, you lazy Slaves! today is your lucky day!" A Billion agent bellowed loudly as the other agents went to open the cell while using their rods to make a loud noise to wake the Slaves.
Coby and Poppoko's doors were one of the first ones that opened. They walked outside and looked at each other and noticed the grim expressions they wore.
This didn't happen before, and they learned that anything new here usually means something horrible awaits them.
So, Coby and Poppoko walked toward the Billion agent, who looked at them coldly and declared while smirking.
"Count yourself lucky today since all of you will be shipped off to the Goa Kingdom."
