Chapter 36-Malcolm (Revised)

Chapter 36-Malcolm

Dave and Sophia explored each other thoroughly, oblivious to the guy waiting for Sophia.

After an hour, they decided to stop to avoid suspicion, realizing her father must be getting bored entertaining Malcolm.

Sophia bathed with Dave and readied herself to leave her room. Dave, meanwhile, concealed himself using his technique and followed her to see Malcolm.

According to Sophia, Malcolm was Count Marvin's son, the same person Dave had seen at the auction house who had put a green hat on Count Michael. It was a tragic and ironic story.

Dave hadn't expected to reciprocate the same act on Count Marvin, whose son was courting the person Dave had been intimate with just an hour ago.

"I've taken revenge for you," Dave thought, feeling pleased with himself and considering it an embodiment of justice for Count Michael.

If Count Marvin were to find out, it would surely accrue a lot of Sin points, but Dave didn't want to tarnish Sophia's reputation.

.......................

In the living room, maids lined up, serving Frank and Malcolm as they chatted over tea.

"Why's she taking so long?"

Frank wondered, confused but patiently waiting for his daughter.

He figured she might be trying to annoy Malcolm.

Frank knew his daughter didn't like Malcolm, and he shared the sentiment.

Sophia and Malcolm had become childhood friends due to Count Marvin being a business partner of his. They often contacted each other.

Bored of the conversation with Malcolm, Frank apologized, "Sorry, nephew, she must be busy."

Malcolm waved it off, acting like it didn't matter.

"It's okay, uncle. I knew she was busy. She's a business genius. I can wait patiently."

Malcolm was considered handsome and tall, with a good demeanor that hinted at his high status.

Despite Sophia deliberately avoiding him, he remained composed, offering expensive gifts to Frank to make a good impression.

Malcolm couldn't fathom why Sophia harbored such a strong dislike, considering his looks and wealth.

He portrayed himself as a good guy, never having had any girlfriends before and being solely attracted to Sophia.

Suddenly, they spotted Sophia descending the stairs and heading to greet her father.

Sophia looked stunning in a gorgeous dress, appearing even more beautiful than before.

Her skin was smooth like jade crystal, and her aura was so attractive that Malcolm couldn't help but drool.

However, Sophia's face was red, and she seemed tired, walking awkwardly.

Malcolm smiled upon seeing Sophia, feeling increasingly obsessed with her growing beauty.

"I will conquer her for sure," he thought.

His father didn't reject his wish to court Sophia; in fact, he approved it. Becoming Sophia's husband would secure the future wealth of Frank, as Sophia was his only child.

"Sophia,"

Malcolm said, stepping forward to hug her. She dodged him and replied, "We're not in a relationship, so don't be touchy."

Sophia looked at him with disgust, though she didn't show it.

Despite being the son of the Count, she didn't fear him, recognizing he was only a son and not the noble himself.

Her father held a high status with many connections to the empire and even the emperor.

Despite Sophia's cold personality, Malcolm smiled, accustomed to it.

Frank intervened, saying, "Don't treat him like that; he's our guest."

Malcolm responded, "It's okay," waving his hands to appear magnanimous and impress Frank.

Frank knew Malcolm wanted to court his daughter, but he had planned for her to marry the guardian's son, a guy he hadn't even met yet.

He had big hopes for his daughter, and she hinted that she had made a connection with the guardian's son at an auction, which made him happy.

He could tell she liked him because she kept asking about him after the auction, something he had never seen his usually reserved daughter do.

Frank treated Malcolm respectfully mainly because he was the son of a count, a respected title in the empire.

In the empire's pecking order, it went from the emperor to the Duke, then the Marquess. Below the Marquess were Counts, followed by Earls, Viscounts, Barons, and lastly, Knights or Lords.

Knighthood was given to soldiers who did outstanding work for the Empire.

...…

Dave, observing Malcolm, checked his status and saw that he was at a Low-tier King level and only 20 years old.

While he didn't harbor any enmity towards him, the fact that he was making moves on Sophia irritated Dave.

Attempting to hug Sophia was the last straw, prompting Dave to teach him a lesson.

Silently employing his <> skill, Dave took control of Malcolm for a brief 1-minute period.

Malcolm's mind went blank as his body became a puppet under Dave's control.

Dave orchestrated a peculiar scene, having Malcolm remove his clothes and run outside.

Frank and Sophia were shocked by Malcolm's unexpected actions. Sophia suspected Dave's involvement, and although angered, Frank couldn't do much as Malcolm had already bolted outside, drawing attention.

Many onlookers, particularly women, covered their faces, while some unfortunate souls caught a glimpse of Malcolm's private anatomy and expressed their disgust.

"He might be good-looking, but he's clearly out of his mind, and his dragon is tiny," remarked one observer.

"It's like a peanut, eww," commented another.

Gossip and chatter spread like wildfire. The guards, recognizing Malcolm, swiftly intervened and arrested him to prevent further chaos.

Despite knowing Malcolm, they had to fulfill their duty.

...….

In Count Marvin's mansion, Marvin, engrossed in reading reports, was interrupted by his men urgently calling for him.

"Count Marvin, the young master was running around naked on the streets, and the entire Empire is buzzing about it."

"What?" He was stunned, not anticipating such a scandal involving his son. However, he had a hunch that his son might have been targeted by rivals in the Empire.

He had initially believed that only Count Michael would plot against him, but without wasting any time, he left the mansion to retrieve his son.

"F...u...c..k Marvin!" he shouted in frustration, realizing that his son had been targeted by enemies.

"Get my son here!" he demanded angrily, determined to address the situation involving his son.
