Chapter 520-Xegron in Action (2)

Chapter 520

"How arrogant!"

The demon laughed and looked at Olino, saying, "Gather everyone and attack him."

The demon was still wary of Xegron because he could not sense any fear in Xegron and did not know where his confidence came from. The soldiers would not follow the demon and were waiting for Duke Olino's command.

"Is the Chaos God in favor of humans even though we are tainted with demonic energies?"

Duke Olino hesitated a bit because he believed that the emperor would not harm his daughter as long as he followed his commands.

However, he did not trust the demons much and wanted to help his daughter escape from the emperor's clutches.

He had only one child, and his wife, who was the emperor's sister, was killed by the emperor.

The emperor had also abducted his daughter to threaten him. All this was done for the emperor's plans.

He had killed his sister, his other brothers, and even the previous emperors resting in the ancestral grounds, all to pass the trial of becoming a true demon.

Olino believed that once the emperor became a true demon, he would no longer care about him and might kill both him and his daughter.

He was willing to sacrifice himself but did not want his daughter to die because of him.

"Oh, of course, my lord is good to those who follow him. He accepts any race as long as they are loyal to him," Xegron replied.

"Oh, if you were worried that this ant-like demon might harm you if you surrender, don't fret. I assure you, none of you will perish as long as you give in."

Xegron chuckled, and his words landed like a thunderbolt in the ears of the demon. It was the first time the demon had been so openly disrespected by a mere Transcendental Being in this realm.

"Damn it, I slay those who betray me!"

The demon bellowed, but suddenly, a hand seized his head and forcefully slammed him to the ground.

Boom!

"Tsk, didn't I tell you to refrain from spewing nonsense in the presence of this king?"

Xegron laughed, his sheer power astonishing everyone. They knew demons were formidable in physical strength, yet Xegron effortlessly overpowered the demon with just his bare hands, blasting it away.

"Just as I said, the demon is worthless, so don't worry,"

Xegron reassured them.

"Also, remember, each one of you will be judged. If you've led a virtuous life and refrained from wicked deeds among humans, the Lord will welcome you into his fold."

Xegron's words sparked hope within Duke Olino.

Despite having once embraced the devil's power, he had resisted using it to harm humans and maintained a clear conscience, remaining loyal to humanity.

"I, Olino Gerona, pledge allegiance to the Lord of Chaos," the Duke declared as he humbly knelt, signifying his surrender.

The soldiers' eyes gleamed with newfound resolve. While they had previously feared the demons' reprisal against their families if they defied them, they now found hope in the Lord of Chaos.

"We'll do what the Lord of Chaos says," Duke Olino declared.

Soon, more soldiers loyal to him followed suit, kneeling down to show they were on board.

They saw how strong Xegron was, figuring if they sided with him, they'd be safe from the demons who treated them like slaves.

They had no say in their lives—just had to do whatever their rulers wanted.

There were about ten million enemy soldiers, all humans.

When some of them started kneeling, it set off a chain reaction. Seven million joined in, dropping to their knees too. The rest stood there, scared stiff.

They knew they'd used their power to hurt others under the devil's influence. They weren't sure what the Lord of Chaos would do, so they pretended to be loyal, hoping to avoid Xegron's punishment.

After a tense moment, only a million humans were left standing.

They'd done some bad stuff and knew better than to underestimate Xegron's power. They decided to trust the demon lord they now worshipped.

They didn't want to give up the power and status they had. If they sided with the Chaos lord, they'd lose all that and have to start over again.

"Not bad at all, folks. You made the right call," Xegron remarked, feeling satisfied with the outcome. It exceeded Dave's expectations. Dave had figured maybe half of them would surrender, but he hadn't counted on 90 percent of them choosing to give in, leaving just a million human soldiers still backing the demons.

They knew some of them had done terrible things, so they couldn't trust the Chaos lord. And those who thought they could fake loyalty by kneeling were mistaken. Xegron's master could see everyone's sins and wouldn't let them off easy if they didn't have a clean conscience.

"As for some of you, you deserve to die," Xegron said with a smile, ready to deal out punishment. But the soldiers cried out for help from the demon.

"Archdemon, help us!" they pleaded.

They knew the demon wasn't dead, and they were right. Suddenly, the demon who had been blasted apart reappeared. His body was covered in scratches, but there were no serious injuries.

The demon wanted to see who would stay loyal to him and planned to slaughter anyone who dared to rebel.

"Hehe, now I understand why I've always felt like you're my enemy. So, you come from that race, huh?" The demon observed, sizing up Xegron.

"But you're not like the others. You wield the power of death. You must be royalty among your kind."

Xegron paid him little heed. "Do you think you're strong just because you have a mere demon lord backing you? Once my master finds your demon lord, he'll subdue and eliminate him,"

Xegron asserted with a smirk.

With a wave of his hand, Xegron caused the deathly net to contract, ensnaring only those who hadn't surrendered.

He then separated the surrendering individuals and transported them into a different realm using Dave's token.

However, instead of entering the space world directly, they found themselves within Dave's domain, the Sin Domain.

There, they would face judgment. Those who passed would await Dave's retrieval, while those who failed would face punishment or even death, depending on the severity of their crimes.
