"As your loyal servant, I still suggest you keep an eye on the queen. Lord Jo's body was found dead on the street this morning."
"What? How did this happen?" The king asks loudly.
"We have no clear evidence on that yet, but with the wound he has, he was stabbed to death. His family also reported that he left the house last night for an important meeting."
"What sort of meeting could that be?" The king asks again.
"I am not sure sure your majesty, but I can swear to you that I saw the queen her majesty leaving the palace secretly last night."
On hearing this, the kings closes his eyes and rests his back on the wooden chair. "This can't be happening." He whispers to himself. The king knows quite alright that Ja won never tell lies for any reasons. For a whole of 45 years he has been on earth, Ja won always been on his side, so he trusts him than any other person on earth. "If you are mentioning to me that the queen was out of the palace yesterday, then you are suspecting that she has something to with lord Jo's death."
"Yes, your majesty." Ja won nods.
"So all this while, the queen has been deceiving us with her calm face, when she has thousand of thorns in her heart." The king whispers.
"The queen her majesty is someone that mustn't get hold of power at all, she will do worse than the deceased queen dowager. You alone are in the position to stop that your majesty." He says with a bow.
"I think I can see where you are driving at, are you trying to tell me to spare Sulhee? After making my mom take her own life?"
"I am not saying that your majesty, but at least I hope you can have a second thought on this issue. Think about the fact that she has gone through thick and thin just to be with you."
"What is the difference between the queen and Suk-bin? Both of them urge for power don't they?" The king asks again.
"There is a huge difference between them your majesty."
"What difference? Tell me about it."
"The queen urge for power because she wants to rule and destroy things that doesn't sit well with her while Suk-bin her majesty urge for power because she wants to survive."
"What?" The king asks whispering.
Ja won stands and bows. "I need to attend to some things in your place outside your majesty." He say and walks out.
Just like he always did, Ja won once again left him with a puzzle to solve. "So what am I supposed to do now? Just overlook everything again and the whole nation is in another uproar and chaos?" He asks himself.
"Your majesty, it is I your queen. May I come in?"
The king quickly contemplated on what to do, "Do I really need to see her now or not?" He asks himself and then says loudly. "Come in!"
The queen walks in already dressed in her mourning attire too and bows. "Your majesty, I was told you haven't taken anything since morning."
"Have your sit." He offers ignoring her concern.
"Yes your majesty." She whispers and obeys. "Starving yourself won't solve any problems your majesty, the deed has already been done."
"Alright." The king nods. "I will eat when they bring in my dinner."
"That's so thoughtful of you your majesty." The queen says with a smile.
"I just heard of Lord Jo's death, it's a very saddening one." He whispers pretending not mean anything special.
"Lord Jo is dead?" She asks as if she is not aware of that before.
"Yes." The king nods. "His body was found dead on the street this morning and due to the wound he had on his body, speculations has it that he was stabbed to death."
"Oh goodness!" The queen exclaims and covers her mouth with her hands and tears flows down her eyes.
The father of nation is convinced by his wife's actions, could she possibly cry if she had something to do with his death? He asks himself in his mind. "Cry no more, you've cried a lot today already."
"What exactly is going on with the northern faction? It just seems as if someone is plotting these terrible things against us intentionally." The queen whispers sobbing.
"What are you talking about queen?"
"I mean, look at what has been happening recently, the queen dowager and prime minister then Lord Jo. Someone is definitely plotting against us."
"May I ask who you suspect?" The king asks as he thinks he knows where his queen is driving at.
"Suk-bin and her supporters of course!" The queen says sternly with a lot of confidence. "Those people are very terrible and dangerous, I know that they will go any length to get prince Yeoning that crown Prince position."
The king exhales deeply "Now, is not the time to talk about things like queen. I think you should return to your chambers now."
"I am sorry if I have said something offensive your majesty." The queen bows and walks out.
"Who are you exactly? A wolf or a wolf in a sheep's clothing?" The king asks in his mind as he watch the queen walk out of his chambers.
"Your majesty, how was it?" Lady Sung asks whispering devilishly in the queen's ears as they both walk away from the king's chambers.
"It's working out already." The queen replies and smirks. "I know it won't be easy to get rid of that witch and her son but I will definitely achieve my goals, I am no push over."
"Yes, your majesty. You can do all you want now that you rule the northern faction."
"Of course, the next thing I want to go after is making sure that woman leaves the palace at all cost." She stops and faces her attendant. "What of the poison seller? Have you taken care of him?"
"Of course your majesty." Lady Sung smiles. "Tae won dis his job well."
"That's good." The queen nods with a smile. "No one must know I killed my own mother in law."
