Ivy kept chasing Jacob round the court whilst he was having fun,she fell down and broke her ankle. Jacob rushed to the scene when he saw her moaning in pain, he knelt down and kept the phone on the floor close to her.
"Are you okay?" He interrogated, extending his hand to take care of the injury. Ivy quickly took her phone and leapt for joy, she feigned her injury to gain his attention - and it eventually worked. He laughed and slowly laid on the floor whilst laughing his heart out.
"I won," she typed.
"You really like games, don't you?" He asked and she nodded.
"For my prize -"
"A piggyback ride," he said and she stopped typing midway as if her keyboard froze or she didn't know what to type next.
"You look exhausted, you survived a car accident a few days ago so you should rest, I'll take you inside," he offered, standing up and squatting for her to hop on his back.
"Are you sure?"
"You're overthinking this,"he reminded.
She placed her phone in the pocket of her hoodie and reluctantly got on his back and wrapped her hands around his neck, he stood up and walked to the main house.
Jacob smiled as her breaths landed on his skin, they've never been this close since they met at the hospital. He felt bad for underestimating Ivy and wishing that what happened to Ian would never happen to him, she was just different from other ladies he he's met. He felt more comfortable with conversing and joking with her, she also enjoyed his company.

"About your meeting with that loser, are you still interested in seeing him personally?" Niel asked as they got into an elevator.
" Yes, "
"Please do not do anything horrible to him, I've been keeping my cool all these months and I advice you do same... for the company,"
"Excellent advice, brother. Have you heard from mom?" Ian inquired. He couldn't call her because he was still feeling guilty.
"I spoke to her last night, she's going to stay a little longer. Your granddad added a little surprise to the death anniversary, "
The elevator stopped and they came outside. They walked towards the exit and kept the conversation milking with shocking news and information.
" What?"
"He's getting married,"
"What!" Ian yelled and all turned to look at him.
"Mind if you tone down a little bit, let's continue in the car," Niel advised and they both got into a black vehicle parked outside the office building. " The golf resort, I told you about Dennis," Niel instructed the driver before strapping his seatbelt at the backseat with Ian.
"Who is he getting married to?"
"A sixty year old florist he met at Alaska, supposedly his first love. She had an accident that claimed her walking ability so his parents made him divorce her and marry your grandma who he also cheated on her with and because they dubbed her as a cripple but she recovered afterwards. Finally, after so many years he's reunited with his one true love.. funny though she didn't get married to anyone else, "
" Wow, I'm happy but I'm feeling betrayed. How did you get to know all this? "
"Your mom told me last night because she knew you'd ask me. Your grandfather wants to tell you himself, since you're his favorite -"
"I'm not, we only have conversations from time to time. He loves Jacob, "
"Okay then, he wanted to tell you himself since I don't know why, "
" I'm happy for them though, "
"Okay, monsieur Kim,"Niel replied and the atmosphere suddenly became quiet.

Bea walked out of the vacation house after taking a shower and wearing a long blue summer dress and flip-flops.
The house was close to a beach - which was where the wedding was going to be held .
"Dad!"she called and a white haired man about the age of 70 turned to look at her. He was standing close to the ocean, playing fetch with his guard dog but his attention diverted when Bea came towards him, she stood by him and inhaled the beautiful ocean breeze.
"So, Anika left with Heather to talk to the designer so it's just both of us, " she stated and he laughed.
" I thought you'd object at first but-"
"You've been alone for way too long dad, I think it's best she's here and you both love each other so much,"
" Yes, darling. But don't you think you should open up your heart too? "
"What do you mean? "She asked, looking at him.
" For a couple of years after you had Ian and that jerk left you, you kept striving hard to shape him into a reasonable young man and give him a solid future. Ian graduated from a college at a really young age and purchased the company from you twice the amount that I invested. I was proud when he gave that bold and well constructed speech at his inauguration ceremony. But, you've been bothering about him way too much, you've hired therapists, took him on vacations he didn't want to go to and finally you got him married -"
"I understand that dad but I just want Ian to live happily. I grew up all my life to have a wonderful older sister who would brush my hair, paint my nails, read me stories and sing cute little lullabies in place of that moron called my mom," she stopped to clean her teardrops and continued. "Many people out there look down on kids with single or no parents at all. Ian's issues probably came because he was surrounded by kids who kept reminding him that he was on a ship with just one captain and I wasn't there to help him heal and unlike me he didn't have any sibling. He obviously grew up alone because I turned to a complete workaholic and I ignore the needs of my kid and it's my fault he's a monster! It's my fault that he has to be hated by people who needs to love him! It's my fault that Ian has no clue of how to love anyone because all the world gave him was hate and he's ready to return it. So until my son is back to the way he was fourteen years, love can go to hell! "She ended, covering her mouth as she could no longer hold her tears.
Paul - her father embraced her and let her cry on his chest. He just wanted her to have a happy relationship of her own since he was getting married but he admired her strength, she was ready to risk everything for Ian even if he was annoying she still loved. Bea felt selfish and stupid, she was struggling to make Ian good by making Ivy go through hell which was why she kept punishing him when he hurt her.
"It's okay, it's okay," he said, patting her head.
"I paired him with Ivy not because he spared her from his madness but because, they've had almost the same experiences and I feel they could help each other heal, " she muttered, still hugging him.
" They will dear, they will"
