Chapter 74: Forced Submission

"That's a lot more than I expected… I thought only the ones who joined us last time would join us again…"

Angelie went back inside the classroom and faced Mimi.

"I guess we need to utilize another classroom. We can use our classroom since it is just beside yours."

Mimi looked straight into Angelie's eyes.

"Hey, that's a great idea, Mimi-san! Then, we should just alternately teach each class for an hour. What do you say?"

Angelie smiled at Mimi.

"It would be double the work, but I see that this is important to you, so I will do my best to help you."

Mimi smiled back at Angelie.

"Thank you, Mimi-san! Oh, what will I do without you?"

Angelie tightly hugged Mimi. After a while, Mimi was having difficulty breathing.

"First off… please let go… so I can breathe…"

Mimi tapped Angelie's back repeatedly. Angelie quickly let go of Mimi.

"I'm sorry, Mimi-san… I got a bit excited."

Angelie smiled and stuck her tongue out. When Mimi saw this, she couldn't let herself be angry.

"I wonder how many things I let go because of that face you make…"

Mimi smiled but shook her head.

"Probably a lot of things, dating back to our past lives. But please, don't start counting now. Anyway, let's get this study group started!"

Angelie pumped her fist into the air.

---

Kiba arrived at the classroom of 2-B. He was surprised to see the line outside the room. When he talked to Angelie and Mimi, they told him about the plan. The three of them were standing near the door of the classroom. Angelie then looked at Sanaka and Akuma who were seated in front. She motioned for the two of them to come and join the meeting. Sanaka quickly hopped off her seat while Akuma sighed before reluctantly standing up.

Angelie gave instructions to the other Help club members. She told Akuma to count the remaining vacant seats inside 2-B and then let in the same number of students lined up outside. For the remaining students that won't fit inside 2-B, Kiba was asked to guide them to class 2-C. Angelie then asked Sanaka to produce more photocopies of the work sheets at the faculty office.

Everyone moved as they were instructed to. Once the students were seated inside the classrooms of 2-B and 2-C, Angelie and Mimi went to separately talk in front of those groups. Angelie went to talk to 2-B while Mimi went to 2-C. They informed both groups that Angelie and Mimi would alternately teach them for the afternoon.

Once Sanaka came back to give the handouts to Angelie and Mimi, the study groups for each classroom finally started. Akuma, Kiba and Sanaka were in 2-B with Angelie.

After an hour passed, Angelie and Mimi were scheduled to change with each other. The two of them met on the hallway as they went to their next designated classroom.

"How was your group, Mimi-san?"

Angelie smiled at Mimi.

"Oh, they're silent and obedient. You won't have any problems teaching them, Angelie-san."

Mimi made a faint smile. Angelie couldn't decide if that smile meant something good or not.

"I-I see. Well, I'll see you again later."

Angelie waved goodbye at Mimi while smiling awkwardly. She then entered the classroom of 2-C. When she got inside, she saw that everyone was sitting up straight. They were all quietly staring at the blackboard.

(What did Mimi-san do this time for all of them to end up like this…?)

Angelie shook her head as she headed to the front of the classroom.

---

After another hour passed, the first day of the study group was over. The group from 2-B walked out of the classroom quietly and in an orderly fashion. As Angelie stepped out of 2-C, she saw the eerily peaceful exodus of students from 2-B. In contrast, the students that exited 2-C were all cheerful and lively.

Angelie could only shake her head as she watched this unfold. Suddenly, someone grabbed her shoulder from behind. Angelie turned around to see who it was. Miyori was standing behind Angelie.

"I know you must be tired, Fukushuu-san. But I just wanted to ask if your club has already made a decision… I hope I'm not being too pushy."

Miyori then put her hands together in front of her. She smiled gently at Angelie.

"Oh, about that… I guess we should talk it over with everyone. They should be waiting inside 2-B, so let's go over there, shall we?"

Angelie smiled back.

The two girls went inside 2-B's classroom. As Angelie expected, the other four members of the Help club were still in 2-B. Akuma, Kiba and Sanaka were seated in their seats, staring blankly into the air. Mimi was standing in front of those three and looking down at them. Mimi then noticed that Angelie entered the room together with Miyori.

"Ah, Angelie-san. Thanks for your hard work today."

Mimi greeted Angelie with a smile.

"Mimi-san, may I ask what happened to those three…?"

Angelie pointed at the three lifeless members of the Help club.

"I'm not sure, really. But to be honest, I prefer them this way."

Mimi faced toward Angelie for a moment, but then returned to looking at the three. She had a faint smile in her face.

"A-anyway, Hogo-san wanted to hear our decision about her request. I just wanted to tell her in front of everyone."

Angelie pointed to Miyori, who was now standing beside her.

"Oh, I see… Then, please tell her, Angelie-san…"

Mimi momentarily stared at Miyori then slowly looked away.

"Um, it seems like it's not good news for me… Oh well, I knew what I am requesting is unreasonable… I understand."

Miyori tried to hide being teary-eyed with a smile.

"Wait, Hogo-san. We accepted the request."

Angelie touched Miyori's shoulder and looked directly at her.

"Oh, really…? But the way you were talking… it seemed like you were going to tell me you declined…"

Miyori wiped the tear in her eye with her wrist.

"That is not the reason for our apprehension. It's due to who is going to… help you."

Mimi then looked at Akuma.

"What do you mean…?"

Miyori stared at Mimi.

"This guy will be the other teacher aside from Angelie-san."

Mimi pointed at Akuma.

"Oh, okay. But what's the problem—"

"The problem is I don't want to do it! But these guys pushed it on me. So don't complain to me later, got it?!"

Akuma came back to life and glared at Miyori. He then returned immediately to his catatonic state.

"Since I'm the one asking for help, I have no right to complain… Although, is he really fit to be around kids…?"

Miyori winced as she heard Akuma speak to her.

"Don’t worry, Hogo-san. I will be there with him. I'll make sure he'll do his job properly."

Angelie stepped between Miyori's line of sight and Akuma. She then smiled at Miyori.

"All my worries disappear with your assurance, Fukushuu-san! I'm really in your debt!"

Miyori grabbed Angelie's hand and held it with both her hands.

"You won't be indebted to us. This is what our club intended to do, which is to help others in need."

Angelie beamed at Miyori.

"I'll still be grateful to you guys. Well then, I'll be on my way now. Take care going home!"

Miyori said goodbye and left the room.

"Now, what are we going to do with these three?"

Angelie crossed her arms together as he looked at the three seated members.

"They will be fine. I'm sure they'll be able to go home on their own. Let's go, Angelie-san."

Mimi walked toward the door ahead of Angelie.

"It seems like it IS better for this Demon Lord to be the other teacher for the kids instead of Mimi-san…"

Angelie scratched the back of her head as she watched Mimi walk away.

The Help club conducted the study group for all the remaining days of the week. All club activities would be prohibited during the last week before the final exams. But since their activity would be for the finals anyway, they decided they would just continue the study group for everyone during that last week.

The weekend finally came around for Akuma. Due to all the studying after classes, he wanted to sleep a little longer during the weekend. He woke up when the sun was fully shining outside of his window. He got up from his bed and went down the stairs without even washing his face or fixing his hair. When he walked through to the living room door, he was rubbing his eye as he yawned loudly.

"Akuma! We have a guest in here. At least wash your face!"

Sourei was standing near the kitchen counter when she saw Akuma stepped inside the living room.

"Huh? A guest? Well, they're not here for me, anyway. No need to look presentable or anything—"

"G-good morning. P-pardon the intrusion."

Angelie was sitting at the sofa together with Yuurei. She grimaced at the sight of Akuma.
