Chapter 69: Stormy Weather

Whoosh!

At such close range, the wood dart soaked in a dark green, poisonous venom arrived in an instant.

If it were a surprise attack, even an elite knight would find it difficult to block this dart that had already reached his face, let alone a child.

But something unexpected happened.

The tremulous child, as if he had been watching the hunter all along, raised his left hand just as the poison dart flew toward him, a pale blue glow flashed faintly, and the dart aimed at his eyeball was blocked by an invisible force, then caught between two fair fingers.

"Won't even spare kids at the side of the road?"

Not fully understanding the ways of the natives, Ian was filled with confusion; that strike had also startled him, as he hadn't expected someone to get the jump on him, even though he had been prepared to launch a surprise attack.

He stood up. Even though he had blocked the enemy's attack, what followed was head-on combat.
