"How could this be… no, nothing is impossible…"
Uttering those words in astonishment, the Elder raised his head to look Ian in the eye. Elder Prude himself didn't know how bizarre, excited, fearful, and bewildered his expression must be.
He didn't even know what he was thinking, his thoughts surged like a tide, and then quickly settled down.
"Whatever I say, you will leave, won't you?"
The old man who knew the significance of revealing everything stared intently at the young man before him and said solemnly, "I can't stop you, you only wish for me to carry out your will, to see the future you want to see, correct?"
"Yes."
Ian replied without a second thought, without hesitation, without worrying that his words might enrage the Elder before him: "But, it's the future that we both want to see."
"The future I can see is not solely my own, Elder, it's also your will."
"It's just that you don't know it yet."
Silence.
